    Thanks so much for the course, what a treat! Hard to find any animation courses for 3ds Max. Could you please show error-proof techniques to export Biped to UE later on, maybe with some additional animated bones using spring magic you showed in other videos? That would help a lot!

    Hi Norberto, loving the series ! I have another question, you did the transformer animation of the robot from Paul. Any plans on some kind of tutorial series on that ? thank you and happy holidays

      That animation i did in just 1h 😂 its a scam just moving objects around to get your eyes crazy . Its nothing crazy . Take the scene and check. I can show in future but its just a simple animation.

    Hey man! This is probably the best biped series out there! Only chap 3 and learned so many cool tricks, gotta ask a question though. When you use the "Select IK Object" it links to an object, let's say holding a mug. Then I can stop holding by using the Set Free Key, like you did to release the feet from the pedal, but then, if I want to use IK again it will be forever linked to the mug using this function, that kind sucks. Is there a way I can use this function multiple times in the same animation clip? I know there is Link Constraint but if this could be usable this way it would be so much better. In my scene the mug is linked with link constraint in the right hand, but then my character holds the cup with the left hand by using plant key + select object IK. But I wanted to make the left hand release and then use IK to support the character on a table. But if I unlink the mug later, even with auto key on, it will lose everything, and if I leave it on, it will mess with the sliding keys after.

      @@lampazzu yes I got you . It’s a common situation . What I do it’s finish the animation . 1 finish the mug them bake to .bip and reload again them work with the table . You need to do that in 2 parts . But that’s the way .

    Sir, after watching this tutorial, I immediately had a question. So we have the feet on the pedals at the very beginning with the help of the planted key (and the hands on the steering wheel). If I try to make changes with the leg (both with the foot and with the whole leg) in the created second animation layer, for example, rotate the hip, the message appears: "keys may not be set in a layer on retargeted limb". Questions: 1) How to use animation layers when some limbs are planted? 2) How to bake into the keys (in each frame) planted limb (foot for example ) so that you can use animation layers?

    • @Maxdesign3d
      @Maxdesign3d  ปีที่แล้ว

      Keep watching the series you will find the solution for this . But at botton part on layer you have a icon like a foot and hands that you activate and set updates. This will keep your foot or hand on first layers animation . Will not affected by layers.

    Hey Norberto, great great great tutorials! I've been watching them from time to time for a long time. I have a question by the way, is it possible to turn off limited bone rotation in Biped? For example, I would like the forearm to rotate in every direction, or the calf as well. Biped has a lock set, can it be turned off? I know CAT allows it, but does Biped also? Or even bone stretching in animation with Biped - is it possible?

    • @Maxdesign3d
      @Maxdesign3d  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@PBpls hi rotation limited ? I don’t got it ! I can rotate the biped bones in every way . 🤔 the stretch yes it’s possible, I talk about in some of my videos, I teach how to do manually and using a script, or just make a search on scripspot bippy or biped stretch. Some scripts will came out .

    • @PBpls
      @PBpls 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Maxdesign3d thank you for the answer, I will search for those scripts :) Regarding the rotation lock, if you have a forearm and you use Lokal Coordinate System, then you can rotate the forearm in X and Z axis, but there is a lock in Y axis, so that the movement is reproduced as in real life. However, I would like to move the forearm in Y axis as well. It is similar with the calf :)

      man im lost. i can rotate the forearm in every axis, Just move and take other axis dont like normal object but you can rotate, Remember biped its a system, Its to simulate a real bipedal humanoid, but if you can do as human them you can do as biped. 😅 Dont try to move like custom riggs, Biped its different but of course you can do all you need with him.

    Cant understand difference between sliding and planted key. Because when i recreating your tutorilal (this one) it seems that in this situation, planted key working same as sliding, maybe you can show more common example and difference ?

    • @Maxdesign3d
      @Maxdesign3d  ปีที่แล้ว

      You will understand as soon you use. Plant will not afected by sliding. But sliding will be affected by planted . Just use and you will understand. I can do more tutos about
