Ever thought of using STS Fiberecement boards? They come in a range of sizes and thicknesses, inlcuding 6mm, 9mm, 18mm and 22mm...not to mention some of the ranges coming preprimed saving you time on your projects. They also supply the fixings and glue. Check them out, they are stocked by most builders merchants UK wide
Any ideas on how weight-bearing the metal stud work is? wanting to use a heavier worktop but not sure it would hold compared to a timber frame. I'm aware it would depend on the size of the frame but let's use yours for example.. something that long with 400s.. what would have been the max weight you would have been comfortable with on placing on top?
Were the same screws used to attach the cement board to the studwork was were used to assemble the studwork frames? It would be useful to know what screws you used :)
Wouldn't it be better to lay the structure under on a concrete base and the deck would go around it? Honest question cause I gotta do something similar and I am worried for the weight that would go on the deck
Just thinking about this - maybe if the decking went down at the same time but i guess because it was already laid and the kitchen was an addition some time after they just decided to leave the decking at is. If it had gone down with the decking they would have likely run that darker boarder of decking to follow the L shape of kitchen.
Looks great ❤. Genuine question, What will be the course of action should you ever need to do a decking repair in the kitchen area? Would it not be better lift the decking first, build a kitchen on a concrete base, and cut the decking to suit?
Yes they seemed to have skipped over water supply and drainage. Drainage may be the most challenging...so much so I dont know if a sink is worth it. Perhaps just a hose for cleaning.
What’s the point in wasting all that money. The UK weather will only allow you to use it 1 day a year if you are lucky enough. Buy an air fryer instead.

You guys are my favourite new TH-camrs....love all the work you do
Legend 🙏🏼
How are you feeding water to tap and dealing with waist water? Or is it water barrel pump and bucket?
That is one of the best outdoor kitchen tutorials I’ve seen and the finish is so much better than timber in my opinion.
Well done gents!!!
Thanks 👍 Appreciate it!
The amount of skill and ability on show here is amazing. Shows the level between DIY and the pros.
Love all the things you do. On this one can you explain how you’re dealing with the sink water - hot/cold/waste etc.
Thanks going into a tank underneath like a caravan 😊😊
What an amazing job. Wish I could find people that cared so much about their work as you guys do
Thank you 😊
Wow. Some real skills there chaps. Loved the attention to detail, esp. with the draining board. Nice!

Great looking build. Did you tile the rearside (against fence) also? Guessing cement boart can't be left open to elements?
We didn’t just sealed the joints cement board if ok with the exposure 😊😊
@@homeimprovements Good to hear. And is the sink plumbed in for supply and drainage? Or some kind of resevoir & pump built in?
Excellent job, but where is the electric power and the water coming from?

Most was Amazon 😊
How did you get water to the tap?
Nice work lads. Can you let us know where I can get the worktop from?
where does the waste from the sink go ?
Yes they seemed to have skipped over water supply and drainage. Drainage may be the most challenging...so much so I dont know if a sink is worth it. Perhaps just a hose for cleaning.
Good Job

Where did the water and electricity supply come from? Boss job but would have been nice to see that
Didnt mention the cost ?
How much is that worktop? It looks 🔥
£795 for the worktop 😊
Is this something you feel that a DIY'er like myself can do??
Absolutely 😊
Was the fence side tiled all the way?
Just Cement board didn’t want to waste money 😊
Where you get that worktop from??? Please give me a link 😊😊
You didn’t tell us how much it cost?😂 looks incredible though!❤
Does the gas bottle fit through that little door?

You said about using a mask when you're drilling, yet you're not using the safety guard on the disc cutter 😅
Was it a pain getting water to the tap?
needs a roof over it next
Coming soon
And the dirty Water waste water going
You need a cameraman with a steady hand. I can finish the rest of the video because I'm getting dizzy. 😢
You didn’t say how much it cost 🤦🏼♂️ or did I miss it 🤔
I’m sure the customer wouldn’t want the cost of their personal business published online. I certainly wouldn’t.
Well they shouldn’t have said it then 🤦🏼♂️
£3-£4k I recon.
The price all depends on the design of the space. And what type of grill you get.
Waste of money
