      I need to get a retinol body lotion. I’ll be turning 50 in March and I’m starting to notice a couple of dots on the back of my hands. No dots in my house!! My mom had good skin so it’s part genes 🧬 and I used tretinoin forever due to acne. You know what else helps and you can do it while watching TH-cam videos at home? Exercise! TH-cam is loaded with exercise videos. My thing now is Zeus Fitness (disclaimer: please consult your pcp before starting any exercise program). YOU should do an exercise channel. Full body workouts with dumbbells but ones that also get your heart rate up

    On my 75th birthday I woke up with crepey arms! All these lotions and potions have harmful ingredients & results are subtle. I tried castor oil. OMG what an overnight improvement. And microneedling produced overnight complete reversal. Stay natural folks.

    This was a good video. Info well presented. Retinol all over, vitamin C, reduced alcohol, immediate post shower moisturizing, high quality sleep, SPF/covering and collagen will all help the appearance of skin that's aged. Also some of these things will help prevent skin cancer and scarring.

    I use an AHA body lotion after my shower on my arms, legs and back of my hands a few times a week. I'm almost 70 and no crepey skin. I also alternate AHA and retin A on my face and always use sunscreen.

    I’m on the carnivore diet, going on 2 years and I also take collagen peptides every morning in coffee with virgin, coconut oil, a collagen booster” choline” and a tablespoon of living silica! Half gallon of water daily or more. Most importantly I use red light on my whole body at least 40 minutes a day morning and night. Also, I take at least 1500 mg of vitamin C every morning along with the collagen. And pomegranate seeds Avril’s , oral Vitamin C and topical it really helps.! And I use castor oil on my face legs, arms everywhere! And 8 hours of sleep. No milk products which causes pimples. Driving gloves are a must.

    I am 72 . My dermatologist said my skin is like someone’s 15 years younger . I’m a gardener and often outside . What I suggest is never binge diet , don’t restrict your fat intake. The worst skin I’ve seen is on old vegetarians . Eat the gristle and the chicken skin, lots of salmon and eggs . Balance this with lots of vegetables. Collagen powder in morning coffee. It’s not so much what you put on your skin as what you put in your body . Skin needs protein.

      True. The only place I have crepy, sagging skin is on my right arm. I'm 70. Last year I broke my arm badly, resulting in muscle atrophy and difficulty getting back into exercising that arm. Hence the saggy skin that I don't think will ever completely recuperate. The rest of my body is pretty good. Lots of veg, some fruit, fresh air and a simple life...well, trying 😅

      It happened to me! I am sixty nine. My skin looked great until the pandemic. I had Covid, then Long Covid and gained twenty-five pounds (5ft. 3in.) After I felt better, I lost those twenty five pounds over the course of six months. My skin had a fit! It’s loose and crepey. It looks awful. No cream, lotion, etc. Is going to fix that. I did have sclerotherapy to fix the very visible veins in my hands. They definitely added to the Night of the Living Dead look.

    Could you comment on Vitamin D deficiency which seems to be at epidemic proportions due to people wearing sunblock and covering up all the time. The research also suggests a lot of serious health issues related to low Vitamin D. Absolutely! Also consume NATURAL collagen in the form of bone broth or other non-processed meat/poultry FOODS ….but licensed medical professionals are unlikely to only recommend free solutions as they get paid to promote synthetic and electronic products. Avoid having any electronic or electromagnetic equipment close to you, especially while you sleep and they impact all sorts of health issues. And get vitamin D naturally! Suggesting wearing chemical laden sunscreen, even for going to the mailbox etc and daily, is ludicrous!

If you develop acne definitely start on retinol A which will also keep your skin beautiful in the future.

      Crickets, right? I've had translucent skin my whole life.
      I've used sunscreen on hands forever.
      The new hand renovation procedures; injecting your own fat, destroying the prominent veins is out of reach for most.
      One can use body makeup for big occasions.
      I used a warm toned Dermablend concealer on the area for purple/blue veins on occasions
      I'm a collector of jewelry and like to wear bracelets and rings when I go out.

      Retinol all over, vitamin C, reduced alcohol, immediate post shower moisturizing, high quality sleep, SPF/covering and collagen will all help the appearance of skin that's aged. If your skin looks really aged, it will take longer, and you won't ever look like you're 30 again but still--feeling your best in your skin is important to many and these tips are useful from 20-80. Also some of these things will help prevent skin cancer and scarring.

    • @steveth1000
      @steveth1000 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@TischTosh you are just parroting what the Dr said, it doesn't make it true. Over 50, none of these fix it, just prevents more damage. Laser resurfacing would be a better option.

    • @TischTosh
      @TischTosh 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @steveth1000 So you're going to laser resurface your whole body? The point of the video (i thought) was to get your body and face aging more aligned! I totally agree that other things, more expensive things like cosmetic procedures, can produce results much more profoundly and quickly. But they can be painful and costly. Nothing works better than good genes & bone structure. Procedures plus good skin habits are bonus moves. But we're all getting older, and preventative techniques used long term can slow down the clock for the skin all oved much less painfully (and you should use them anyway).

      Not in my experience. Any ‘leftover’ product in my palms goes on my hands and wrists (unless it would have no benefit). The other replied is correct. Time changes almost everything. If your skin is aging your tattoo goes with that. And tattoos just do age. I would consider ‘upkeep’ having your artist brighten up tour tattoos.
