Ideas I haven't found a suitable place for: 1. "Patapons suffered 49 days and night in the ocean" - in Japanese culture a number 49 is a number that combines the two most unlucky numbers. When put together, it can mean *the suffering of death*. 2. An owl which is sitting on the Obelisk. In Japanese culture, an owl brings luck and good fortune. 3. The World Egg that occurs in the game has a meaning too. Both Japanese and Chinese cultures have ideas about eggs, which represent the symbol of creation.
It was such a smart move on the devs to make it so the multiplayer mode had Ai companions. And it blows my mind how deep the story is from just the first 2 games. I know that the 3rd one is gonna be big on story
Patapon 2 really feels like a remaster of the first game while having new stuff going around. Clever way of reusing stuff from a previous game while it still feels new.
3 years laters an' I respect these still, I grew up with Patapon and your series coverage has been just... ah, so neat to watch! Lets hope Ratatan is as awesome!

Wasn't the mushroom/kuwagaton mission called "at ground zero" or somethin- Anyways, yeah, definitely longest mission as you're technically fighting two minibosses simultaneously, one of which keeps spawning enemies (fun fact, the mushroom's enemy class in all appearances of it, is "structure" meaning it shares traits with buildings) At ground zero is long, but the runner-up has to be New parabola of hope. Screw that stupid gate
I've recently played patapon 2 and it is stated that the Dark Hero we fight on BaBan gate is the Zigoton who flew away and lost his lover in the first game, now in search of revenge, also, he says her name as his final words.
Agree, the best part, everything is balanced there, and it never gets old, thanks to its stylistics. The evolution system is not as dull as in the first part, the story is intriguing and has plot twists. Recently I've finished Patapon 3 (writing a script for the video now) and I have a kinda love/hate relationship with the game. The story is good, but these dungeons are hellish abominations.
@@BillBounce Totally agree. I love the first game, but it has it issues in the gameplay, and the third part is very unpolished imo. Patapon 2 is the best. Although i would say that the story in 1 is the best one.

i can finally watch this after finishing patapon 2 an hour ago. I can't believe i always skip 2 whenever i replay the series i think its my favorite now even though it's grindy as hell.

@@BillBounce Thanks haha, moving backwards from patapon 3 since I finally finished that after so many years of never finishing it, then I got to patapon 2 and even in easy mode I can still miss quite often haha, I've always had terrible rhythm be it singing and stuff but it's still fun, I think patapon 2 is better than 3 especially with our tiny army (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧

Plus they released remasters of first two parts, maybe sells weren’t as good as they expected hence they haven’t launched Patapon 3 Remastered. Summing that up I doubt about Patapon 4 (or something about their ancestors)
