The problem with Serbia is the lack of quantity of good singles' players compare to Spain to be honest. Novak pretty much carried the team lol.

And djokovic's heroics means that now a tennis culture has started to develop in Serbia and you see them producing players who play on ATP tours and even win. It will take time for them to produce really good players but they are in better place than what they were before djokovix

It is beyond me how a clay court specialist won 2 USO finals against Djokovic, 3 AO matches against Federer and 1 Wimbledon Final against Federer. Their games were always much superior to his outside the red dirt.

He had the mental edge over both , had faster legs so he could blunt Rogers attack with his incredible defense , got a lot of joy with the topspin forehand to backhand till fed upgraded racquet give making timing the backhand more forgiving as he is also slower.And he's not to shabby on hard courts
