I hope you honestly know how much you are helping people. Im on this channel every day all day watching and re-watching trying to become better. I just started a week ago and only have sold 5 items but i think it would be 0 without your tips. Thank you!
@@exploremilehigh303 Im already finding myself trying to put stuff up to sell and thinking chris would think this was a waste of time because its not whats selling and it wont sell.
Same. I have been watching these videos and other reseller videos for a while now and just got into it myself about a month ago. Currently sitting at almost $800 in sales after my first 30 days (about $500 of that being gross net with over 200% ROI). I know it's nothing special or huge, but I definitely would be doing a lot worse without all this help and information!
Yes this channel is a no BS straight FLOOD of cheat codes for selling on Ebay! I LOVE how straight to the point his videos are! I still like other sellers on TH-cam but I'm trying to get serious and scale my business as fast as possible. This channel isn't messing around! I'm blown away by how much he's willing to share and help. I feel like his apprentice!
Haha, I’m so used to eBay selling that when you said you used ‘Velcro’ strips in my head I corrected you to ‘hook & loop’ strips . Automatic reaction lol
This is exactly what I've been wanting information on. I have a bad back and my current set up is very difficult for me. This looks much easier on the back. Thanks, Chris!
Building my own photo box, super windy atm in my area so it was really annoying to carry to the car...joanns still carries that sherpa tho so im happy about that
I really liked this one. I'm getting my photo booth set up this weekend. I'm using a screen from a sliding door and covering it with white linen. I'll prop that against the patio wall raised up on bricks so I can get closer if I want to and the lighting is natural light filtered by outdoor curtain panels plus patio bulbs on a string.
Nice ! That Foams gonna crack though , I would add something behind it to support it , or use a tack board... I have an art desk , that I can tilt at an angle it's nice ,,, an multi functional... I was watching a video of one guy had a material that grips it and it doesn't slide , I don't recall what it was exactly
Wow, that's very similar to what I've been doing for years. Difference is I use 4100K natural light LEDs instead of the 5500K daylights. Put a nice scrim on them and the lighting is about perfect. And instead of strips, I just use some clamp-on lights with 8" reflectors. Cheap, easy to move around and you can change colors simply by changing bulbs...
You do a great job laying it all out. You are giving out the keys to success for anyone that wants to take your advice and run with it! Thanks for all your hard work!
you must be kidding me, I was trying to figure this all out as moving in 2 weeks to 125sqft !! Only doing clothes!! :D because of you and you drop this bomb!!! THANK YOU
Happy I asked the question in the livestream looking forward to this video. I’m sure my sales will increase with more professional photos. Mine are mediocre pictures at the moment.
Just another plug for the patreon and facebook group. I have been reselling for a long time, and the group has helped me to take my business to the next level of enjoyment and profitability.
This is brilliant all around, the magnetic lights in particular! A couple thoughts: First: I photograph against a white backdrop, but I always shoot with exposure bracketing turned on. When I push the shutter button, the camera takes three pictures: One with auto exposure, one with a brighter exposure, and one with a darker exposure. I am always able to just grab the one that looks best. Second: I have a power strip mounted with Velcro like that (not as part of a photo setup) and every month or so it falls off. Keep an eye on it!
After this video I went to Facebook Marketplace and got a used 6x4x1.5 metal shelf system for $45. Nice to get that out of the way for cheap. Will pick up near New Years.
I sell toys, video games and misc items. I have a table against the wall and use a roller window cover as my background. It's white and creates a infinity background, plus it's cheap. The lights are just 5500 led lights hung that I got at Home Depot.
Hi just wondering if you used 2 of the 8 ft. x 0.5 in. x 48 in. foam boards or just 1 board and cut that down? Also how many yards of Sherpa fabric did you use? Thank you so much! You’ve been a great help and asset to this community!
I use a tablecloth that would be hard to duplicate just in case you know how scammers can be. I have used 3 different ones I have used it also helps to date the items to.
If you have a Harbor Freight nearby, you can get a lot of things there on the cheap, and for basic tools you will use in reselling you don't need the expensive high quality stuff. You're not going to be using them like a mechanic or carpenter would. Harbor Freight is usually cheaper than getting Chinese knockoffs from Amazon.
Your setup is amazing (I'm kinda wishing we sold clothes), but we sell vintage nic-naks, dishes, jewelry, etc. I was inspired by your video however, so I did order a 5500K LED light and tripod so I can create an actual photo area in our house. The lighting in our house is more dungeon friendly than eBay listing friendly.
You've definitely pointed me in the right direction. I'm pretty new to reselling. Just got a bigger climate control storage unit . I'm going cheap as possible. I'm thinking about going to restore buying a door and find a inexpensive gray rug 😂😂. Will maybe use bricks to keep the door in place when I tip it back. My wheels are definitely turning. Again thanks for this idea.
Great video, not only the content but the way you do your videos now with the animations etc. I noticed and it makes it that much better, love the improvements and keep it up 👍
Dang I just redid mine because i just started doing more clothes and this looks way better! I think im going to have a dedicated spot fo clothes and one for items (most of my items are 12x12x12 ish or smaller)

How do you measure? Do you measure the clothing right on the board after taking the pictures? Then List at the same time? I am definitely making this photo box for clothing, amazing content.
It'd be cool if you could build your flat lay with 2 pieces, hinged in the middle so that you could bend it into an "L" in order to photograph shoes, hard goods, etc. with both a horizontal surface and a backdrop.
Hi can you make a video please how to keep the inventory system I listen the video about the consecutive number that you put it in every item but I did not know hoe to do it or having set up in your ebay store. Thank you for all the work that you do. I really appreciated every video. Merry Christmas to you and your family
Based on how old this video is I doubt this will get answered but do you ever need to change the backdrop color to accommodate the color of the object? Like in this case if you had a very similar color grey sweatpants for example, would you find a different backdrop? In a shop like yours with multiple photography stations it seems like it could be beneficial to have at least one station with a different color. I do think in general there is some merit to keeping the background consistent because I think repeat customers can begin to recognize the seller just based on the photos, if there is consistency.
Do you think that this set up would work with a 4ft wide shelving? I am lacking space and found a husky shelf that’s 48 in. W x 78 in. H x 24 in. D? I am a fan of the lighting and ease of the foam board backing.
Great video! I do something similar on a smaller scale, but have been wanting to make mine bigger. Thanks for the idea of using the insulation board! 😊
I have a question about taking photos of the long sleeve shirts. So you don’t have to spread the sleeves out for the photo’s you just keep them down to the side of the shirt?
Have you had any problems with the 2 pieces of insulation staying together properly where they meet in the middle? Maybe one side bending lower than the other and when the fabric lays over it creating a shadow from the light? Thank you for the great videos and info you provide.
LOVE the new video format. The editing and videography is on point! Question: what do you think about stabilizing the foam board with plywood backing? Helpful, or not really?
