Thank you for taking the time to share this video. What type of phone are you using? I have a big problem with the color of the garment changing after I take the picture. I use an iPhone, but whatever reason I always have a problem with color consistency with my photos.
Carrying a side arm cuts down on trolls making negative comments. Next video in line, we have Danny Trejo, machete in hand, with advice on sourcing items for sale lol..Good video SIR!
Never thought about that way, but that makes sense 😂. Funny you mention Danny Trejo. Just saw a great documentary of him. He had a tough life and is a badass…a real badass. If you can find it online I recommend it. Someone sent it to me they FB and I can’t find it for the life of me. Thx for watching! 🤠🇺🇸👍🏼
@@resellutions Thanks. I did see that in the UK as they showed it along with two Machete movies. He's done well after a hard life. Thanks
Man... I can't believe I've been picturing my clothing without my piece... what a rookie I am! 😅

For the shorts and pants I always take pictures of Inseam, the front rise and leg opening, using the ruler. For the shirts, jackets, and sweaters I also add a picture of the shoulders measurements , seam to seam. I have been selling on EBay for 15 years, I got maybe two or three returns a year.
Sounds great. In my experience I get 2 requests for those measurements every 600 items or so. I'd rather not put in the time if it's unnecessary. Thx for watching! 👍🏻👍🏻
So good I am changing my photo arrangement but I got a drafting table am putting plywood on and have to find my covering. This way I can change the angle if needed. Such great ideas!
Glad I was able to help. You will def benefit from that. Wishing you the best in 2024 and beyond. Thx for watching! 🤠🇺🇸👍🏼
Thank you. This is an amazing video and it is helping me so much as I am just about to restart ebay again after a long absence. I will be checking out more of your videos.

Love the video! No fluff, real vibe, helpful info! 👌🏻
Ty. I do what I can. Thx for watching! 🤠🇺🇸👍🏼
i always show the care tag as it does ask in the item specifics and it only takes another quick shot and when you get into silks , cashmere , wools and such the care changes , i don't leave any open doors. I use almost the exact same set up with a plastic wall hook attached behind the throw blanket your using , same ! lol .. with an easel i can lean it back and many times no need to use a hanger , the effect looks great ! also learned to use some lighting i rigged up using long tube lights i got at goodwill for 2 bucks, attached to some mic stands i had. Works great and solves color issues with greys, dark greens and black. I did also figure out a way to show the whole yardstick with no hand in the pics but thats a trade secret ! lol..... good info! always enjoy your vids ! The 511 button flys ! they sell fast ! and no danger of a zipper ! lol !

Excellent content! I shoot a lot of clothes for ebay, and I usually end up taking clothes outside for color verification. Our yard has a nice weathered fence that makes a good backdrop. I like your use of the yardstick in the photos, as I'm tired of listing measurements in my descriptions. I have a dress form that I use once in a while, but I had one customer who'd never seen one before and gave me my first negative in a DECADE!
Weathered wood does look good. Also, customers can be aholes…whatever. You can make everyone happy. Thx for your support! 🤠🇺🇸👍🏼

New subscriber. Love the tutorial. “Naughty area” 😅. I think this is very valuable information. Thank you!
You’re most welcome. Thx for watching! 👍🏻👍🏻
Very nice. Two things-I live in shorts and trunks for ten months out of the year. Inseam IS UBER important to me. And second, I have the luxury of not needing to hurry. I enjoy taking a good picture, so I take my time and try to make them a little different.
That’s what my costume designer said 😂, but I simply showed her the data and my data showed that none of my customers care. When they start asking consistently then I’ll add it on. Thank you for your feedback. Much appreciated.
Also, I wish I could live in shorts, but I have chicken 🐔 legs 🦵🏼 and psoriasis…so that doesn’t work for me 🫢😂

10/10 video
Much appreciated brotha.
Now tell those people that keep saying shit like…but you need the inseam…but you need the sleeve length…but…but…but. 😂😂😂
My results show that the process works. Thx for watching! 🤠🇺🇸👍🏼
I recently switched to this setup as well, loving it!
I pull the left leg up, making the right straight enough for the yardstick for inseam measurement. I also include the rise & cuff width for pants, takes very little extra time to hopefully reduce returns. I would disagree about the inseam for shorts though, especially for activewear. This is many times important enough to include in the keywords of your title, as it's kind of a model almost for some. I also do a total length measurement for shorts.
One more note, I take the length measurement on the front of the shirt to illustrate that the front length is shorter that the back length (as it usually is).
Not to say any of that is better or even necessary, but I just like to compare notes on process!
Great feedback. I enjoy different views. That’s how processes get better. One person can’t possibly know it all. I’ll take that into account for the future.
The main reason I don’t include any of those additional measurements is because they have not been necessary for me. I have not had returns, complaints or questions. If there have been I can count them on one hand. Conversely, if that changes and I get lots of issues I will deal with it then and add only what is necessary.
The minimum amount of photos came about because I saw some sellers packing up their product “to have it ready” for shipping even before they sold it. I cracked up about that because they were essentially paying interest before the interest was due.
Keep providing that feedback please. It really helps the community. Maybe someone will make an amalgamation of our styles and use that. Thx for watching! 👍🏻👍🏻
Since item specifics ask for rise, I add that too
Wow this is my first time watching your channel. Easily one of the most informative videos. I have tons of clothes to list but I hate the process so I do a lot of hard goods and avoid it. lol! Thank you so much for this tutorial its one of the best I have seen and you do have it down to a science! This might get me to start listing clothes! Haha!!! 👚👖
😂😂😂. The funny thing here is that I just moved into clothing in a serious way a few months ago. I’ve sold it over the years, but not at this level. I’ve always been a hard good seller cuz I can give 2 shits about clothing, but the market pushed me that way and business is business. I’m taking my store now to 30% AFA (apparel, footwear, accessories) and keeping the other 70% hard goods so as to not go insane and be true to myself and my passions.
If I can recommend something, start listing clothing now. It is a must have and the US market is going to keep tanking. Stay ahead of the game and put in more hrs now so you don’t get left out in the cold later. With this shit government we have who knows where we will all be in a few months. Hopefully we see a big positive change in November when the POS puppet leaves the White House. Just protecting a fellow seller. Wishing you the best in 2024 and beyond. Thx for watching! 👍🏻👍🏻 🇺🇸
@@resellutions No shit about the current state of things. Never in my life would I I have thought things could go so wrong so fast. We need a miracle!! Thank you for the advice and I have to feel passionate about my items too and kinda have too in order to enjoy listing them. Your pep talk is a good ol kick in the ass. Thanks for the motivation and at least if SHTF we have plenty of stuff to barter with. ;)
@thisistheway6559 glad I can help. I’ve been down before…real down, but my dad taught me to never be a little bitch, stop complaining and just get it done. It took me a while to make my first $100K in sales in my business, but I got there and now I gotta keep going. Reselling is not my ultimate goal, but it is a great vehicle to get there. Ty. I try to help with efficiency as best as I can. Thx for your support! 🤠🇺🇸👍🏼
Great video! I like the portability of your background. I've seen other similar, but they were on plywood and not easily moved and stored. I do have to disagree with the shorts measurements. You said no one cares about the length of the inseam. That may be true if you are a man, but most women I know, myself included, want to know how long that inseam is. That is, of course, just my opinion.
I love this set up. It’s was cheap to build too. I linked the video below if you want to build your own.
As far as the inseam goes…That’s what my costume designer said 😂, but I simply showed her the data and my data showed that none of my customers care. When they start asking consistently then I’ll add it on.
Doing anything at a high level, not that I’m there, but if you want to be you must include time into your equation. Let’s say you take an extra 20 seconds to set the measuring tape, take the pic, transfer to computer, etc. Doesn’t seem like much, but multiply that by hundreds or thousands of clothing items and now you’re talking minutes or even hrs spent doing something unnecessary. If someone wants the measurement they will ask and then you comply.
Then you may be asking, wouldn’t that take longer cuz you need to retrieve it, measure it, etc? Well yes, but in my experience I get that question 2x out of 600 garments. That means that I saved myself time from 598 garments and only had to do it twice. I’ll take the time savings any day because I don’t like to pay for interest before the interest is due. Like credit cards. Just my thoughts. 💭
Thank you for your feedback. Much appreciated and Thx for watching! 👍🏻👍🏻

Informative video. Should the sleeve length measurement be included on the shirt?
In a perfect world with all the time to invest in photography for sure. Since you need speed…Definitely No. I can tell you from experience that over 600 garments sold and only 2 requests for that measurement. Mind you, I mostly wear and buy long sleeve shirts because that’s my jam. Other people will disagree, but results don’t lie. Thx for watching! 👍🏻👍🏻

Awesome video. Do you attach and remove the lanyard every photo session, or does it have adhesive?
Thank you and I remove it every time. No adhesive. This is why I use this one. I hate sticking shit onto my case or phone. Plus I have a magnetic case that charges my phone. So I can’t put it on even if I wanted to. Thx for watching! 👍🏻👍🏻
OH GRATE AND POWERFUL OZ! thanks for the video. Question, what do you use to generate you inventory tags?
You’re welcome and I have a zebra thermal printer for them usually, but in this case I’m using one up labels because I got them for .50 or something like that. Exhausting these first cuz why not right. I also have an excel sheet that auto populates each page. You put in the starting number and it goes the rest of the sheet. Thx for watching! 👍🏻👍🏻

The platform is optimized for square photos by default. If you use 16:9 per se you now have to edit the photo to square or your item will show up smaller on screen because the system has to fit to size. Thx for watching! 👍🏻👍🏻

Thank you for this video. If the colors don’t match up, what do you do to adjust the phone? I’m struggling with blues and greens 2:48
First off lighting has a lot to do with it. Using 5000K bulbs helps. Also, some colors are always gonna be off. You can always fix it in post or on the phone by messing with the colors, but I don’t make enough in profit to do that. So I just shoot as close as possible and deal with the issues if they come up after the sale. Not the best advice, but I’ve been fine over the years. The only adjustment I do that fixes almost all issues is brightness. I’m using an iPhone 14 Pro. Phone camera def make a difference. Thx for watching! 👍🏻👍🏻
@@resellutions thank you! I have the 13 pro max and I use natural lighting. The room is wood though so I think it messes with the colors.
As a woman I do care about inseam. Just a friendly tip 😊 also have you tried to take photos without the hanger? It seems like it would be faster than having to deal with it

These are 15x10 useable. 16x10 total. Imported from Mexico 🇲🇽. 😎Thx for watching! 👍🏻👍🏻

I do not. It’s unnecessary. Wastes too much time. The only platform that you must have crystal clear white background is Amazon. Thx for watching! 👍🏻👍🏻
My husband was constantly busting out the crouch in his jeans driving me crazy and when he started wearing 505 button fly n they have a bigger crouch he never busted them anymore. All jeans are made different
Good to know. Ty for sharing. Thx for watching! 🤠🇺🇸👍🏼
You mentioned that you take a picture of how to care for the garment but you aren't taking pictures of the care instructions, just the material content. Do you also take pictures of the care instructions?
Only when it’s on the same side as the materials as it sometimes is. I should have made that more clear. According to my costume designer on team you can forgo that info because most people know how to care for items based solely on materials. Thank you for asking and Thx for watching! 👍🏻👍🏻
This was great info. My question is why not include the rise? This is the first time I've watched you so maybe it's not relevant to mens clothing?
That’s what my costume designer asked 😂, but I simply showed her the data and my data showed that none of my customers care. When they start asking consistently then I’ll add it on.

Question..seems like all the big sellers are using a gray background. I thought it was supposed to be white.
Generally speaking you should always use white because it provides best representation of item color. For example, the light box you see in the video is white. Everything I shoot when adding product to Amazon must be white. In this case the eBay algorithm isn’t smart enough to flag your listings and I don’t think eBay cares. Not sure about algorithm just my perspective.
I personally chose the gray because it’s less dirty, hides shadows and that motherfucker was on sale when I got it. Can’t beat 60% off 😂. Since these items are only for eBay, it does the job. I have an overlay that’s white also if I ever need it. I try to give myself options. Hope that helps.
Thx for watching! 👍🏻👍🏻
@@resellutions I love your freakin attitude. Finally a tuber that keeps it real!! And the instructions on how to make a photo station is gonna save my back. You’re the bomb!!
Can you still do this if you’re not wearing a gun in the house?
No. It’s an extension of me. It’s stays with me always 🤠🇺🇸. Thx for watching! 🤠🇺🇸👍🏼
Great video 😊 Thanks for sharing!
Curious? Do you iron or steam the clothing?
gemeni-dreams
You’re most welcome and I hardly ever do it. I only iron or steam if the garment will bring in considerable profit. Takes too long. Thx for watching! 🤠🇺🇸👍🏼
@@resellutions That's a great way of thinking of it. If I wasn't so OCD ☺️ But sometimes I let it fly...
I have to suppress that side of me as well. All for the sake of the business. 😂
...you didn't measure the sleeves
I did not. You’d be amazed at how many people don’t ask about that. They just assume it will fit how it will fit. Unless it’s something like a tuxedo shirt or similar. Thx for watching! 🤠🇺🇸👍🏼
