Lost footage, Your winding me up !!! Top build, I always seen to get my stepper wires crossed on c.n.c builds. Look forward to next vid and a big thumbs up to you and cnc design for a good looking, well thought out kit.
Holy crap! Russ, it's been a long time since I've watched one of your videos, is all of this equipment I see in this video yours? Or are you in a maker space or something?
Thank you for the video. I have several questions. 1. Who uses coil winders? 2. How does one go about learning about the electronics regarding being able to use coil winders? 3. How much is the machine for coil winding that you show here from Siemens (either US Dollars or other)? 4. Can these be purchased if one lives in the United States (I did not see a US distributor for Siemens products listed on their website)? Thank you for any help you may give.
When you said you would put music on the video I expected smooth jazz or something not robot sex noises. Seriously? I watched all that waiting for the test only to be told the test footage was lost? You could have recorded something for us. Dammit Russ.
Hi Russ just thinking about all the wire under the ships ladder where i work they are coils wire wound on a real like from a vender that sells wire to be ran in conduit is more than likely wound as the fishing real it dose its real in over and back but from as far back as i can think if you want to make make an electromagnet one layer is wound and then ran strait back to the start over on the top of the first layer if you keep this up multiple wire layers make less resistance in the coil more Resistance less amps one layer more amps more power The pin ball machine coil that lifts 5 one and 1/4 inch steal balls at one time (pow bang they are up there ) at 120 volts is one layer of wire 1 and 1/2 " diameter about 7" long don't let the relay stick lots of heat Thanks Russ been viewing long time keep up the good research
Dude that’s the coolest shop I’ve seen in awhile. Love to see a shop tour. Enjoy the winder.

Russ your awesome to show this! This will be cool to watch!
Nice! Can't wait to see that machine in action. :)
like the dubstep! It does make great background head bobbing times while working on projects.
I have a question: what is that pcb holding contraption you use at the beginning when you assemble the circuitboard?
beautiful machine!
Nice winder Russ
Do you know of a good vender to buy rail and ball screws from?

What software do you use with it if any.
Thanks.

Very cool
I'm looking to pay someone to program this software to wind a custom coil for me. Any ideas?
