I made this to take to a church potluck. Everyone really enjoyed it. I did change chocolate grams for Keebler Fudge Stripe cookies. I lined bottom and sides with them. Gooooddd
Yummy. I used to have a coworker that would bake cookies or scones or whatever and she would bring them to work. Her reasoning was she had a taste for whatever she made but didn’t want to keep the rest at home for temptation. This recipe falls in that category. Make and take to church or work to share, you get a taste without the whole dessert tempting you. Thanks for another wonderful recipe.
I love chocolate with my peanut butter so I used one package of chocolate pudding and one package of vanilla pudding and another half cup of peanut butter, to really drive home that chocolate peanut butter taste I love so much!
You are just the best to watch! I love how you always make sure your wife gets the first sample bite! I love your assortment of the different food items you feature! Never boring! Keep it up!
My mother used to make the non-peanut butter version of this, and it was always a huge hit. She laughed about how much of a fuss people used to make compared to how easy it was to do. This looks like an equally great version. Appreciate you sharing it with us and bringing up some memories that made me smile.
@@christinafuentes5791 Here's the non-peanut butter version's recipe: Ingredients 2 (3.4 ounce) packages instant vanilla pudding mix 3 1/2 cups milk 1 (8 ounce) container whipped topping thawed 1 box graham crackers 1 can dark chocolate frosting (heated in microwave for 30-45 seconds) In a medium bowl, whisk together pudding mix and milk until smooth. Fold in whipped topping. Line bottom of a 9-inch x 13-inch pan with a single layer of graham crackers, breaking some if necessary to fill the layer. Pour half the pudding mixture over the crackers and spread evenly. Top with another layer of crackers. Pour the remaining pudding mixture over the second layer of crackers and top with a third layer of crackers. Layering graham crackers on top of vanilla pudding for eclair cake. Carefully pour/spread the frosting over the top layer of graham crackers. Refrigerate at least 8 hours or overnight. Serve chilled and store any leftovers covered in the refrigerator.
Melissa, you have way more discipline than I do, to limit yourself to only one piece. The cake wouldn’t have had time to cool before I’d be digging into it. YUM!😋
Love to watch your videos, you make it look so easy. Have you ever thought about having a live video where you answer questions? Don’t know what that would entail but that would be awesome. If not maybe a show where you answer question sent to you. Love both of you and feel like we really would be😅 welcome at your table.
South Paw! You and Melissa are a hoot and more😂 Northern Ky here, and a LOT of Tennessee Vols on Mother’s side! So glad I found your channel. And you’re both educators. We need more. TY
during Thanksgiving i made your chicken dressing and was it ever a hit plus my now way of making it...going to give this eclair dessert a number 1 rating !! Never disappointed in what you share and hope you dont mine me posting them on-line for others to see!!
Hello love your recipes and thank you for being so clear with instructions, couldn't find chocolate graham crackers so I had to improvise with chocolate animal cookies 😅.Now the dessert is in fridge, can't wait to try with my family. Please say hello to your wife and for the awesome job she does behind the camera 😊
I've been making the eclair cake for many years. Both of my sons always want it for their birthdays. I've never thought about putting peanut butter in it. My son (the other moved far away) may just get the peanut butter version this year. I know he will love it and so will I. I've never seen the chocolate graham crackers here. I guess I could use the regular ones or maybe order them from Amazon. When I make the eclair cake I do overlap the crackers a little on the first 2 layers in order to get them to fit and it works just fine. You can also make this a lower sugar version using sugar free pudding, low sugar cool whip and frosting. I have done this and it tastes great. Thanks for sharing this awesome version!
I have not been with you guys since the beginning. I believe I found your channel about 4-6 months ago, but I am a big fan! I have went through and watched nearly all of your videos! We've tried several of them and they didn't disappoint! Keep those recipes coming! 😊
Very confusing about the refrigerate time you said several times throughout video That made me think it was refrigerated in steps instead of one final time at the end
After I’d made chocolate eclair cake a couple of times, my sis got adventurous and made a lemon one, which then inspired me to make a coffee flavored one with cinnamon grahams, and now you’ve inspired me to try peanut butter! I’m so excited . 👍🤗🤗
P.s. I know I’ve said this before, but you’re just about the best pourer I’ve ever seen, Tom! If you hadn’t been so great at teaching, you’d have been a super cement guy! 😄
Looks so good!!! I make the no bake chocolate eclair cake with pudding, cool whip, graham crackers and I use the fudge in the glass jars to top it. Smuckers or Hershey brand. It is much better and sets up perfect when cake gets chilled.
Ive been on the lookout for chocolate grahams for sometime. Meijer is an hour away but will look for sure! Really like your honest commentary and recipes with normal ingredients!
Thank you so much. We hope you can find them and perhaps keep a box or two in reserve. Our Meijer is an hour away as well, so we understand that challenge. Enjoy the cake!
I made this a few months ago. My friends loved it. I used to take two desserts when I went out with my friends. I was sick last month so I haven't been going. They all miss my desserts lol.
Thank you, Tom and Melissa! I love your recipes and your channel. The two of you are adorable, and it is obvious that you are great teachers! Your students must have loved you. I look forward to making this recipe soon. Love from NC... ❤

That looks so good and I hope everyone can eat it. I have a problem with eating Chocolate , it gives me migraine headaches really bad. I sample a small taste 2 or 3 times a year and can usually stay under control. I'll just watch from the sidelines and remember. Stay safe and keep up the good videos. Fred.

You have my full attention because I absolutely love chocolate eclaires and I will probably leave out the peanut butter because I want the full flavor of the vanilla pudding. God bless you for sharing this wonderful recipe with me ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Chocolate and peanut butter....how can it not be delicious! My family all love those flavors together. 😊 Thanks again for a fantastic recipe. God bless you both.

I looked to see if walmart or any stores near me stock chocolate graham crackers. None of them do. Looks like I'm making homemade chocolate graham crackers. That looks so delicious. Thank you for sharing this!

I make an éclair cake, but with regular Graham crackers and vanilla pudding, I'll have to try this one, and I always spread my frosting on, but melting it in the microwave would be easier. Also, it's smoother on top when melted. Thanks for sharing. I made the champagne cake for our small church group last night and thought I would be bringing a few pieces home, but no such luck it was all gone within the group. They loved it!

This looks so simple yet delicious. It's a great desert to teach the kids to make.😊
It’s great for making with kids. We really do appreciate that you watched our video. Have a great day.
I remember making this many years ago, but the vanilla version. Peanut butter & chocolate? Yes, please!
It’s always a good combination.
When you put that cup of peanut butter in that milk & pudding mix...you had me brother.
It’s a really delicious combination.

My nephew is allergic to nuts.
How is the recipe different without peanut butter?

2 (3.4 ounce) packages instant vanilla pudding mix
3 1/2 cups milk
1 (8 ounce) container whipped topping thawed
1 box graham crackers
1 can dark chocolate frosting (heated in microwave for 30-45 seconds)

That made me think it was refrigerated in steps instead of one final time at the end
I'm sorry we confused you. Just refrigerate at the end.
