Thanks for this new product. Two questions: 1. What is the max distance for a ballistic solution. For example, some SIG KILO BDX can range to 1500 yards but ballistic solutions is capped at 800yd without a another device like a Kestrel or Garmin. 2. I see a good use for the map feature when recovering downed animal. If I understand right, I can range a downed animal and it should put a point on the map. What if there is no cell reception where I hunt. Would the app be able to download an offline map? If not, can it still at least give me a coordinate for me to input into onX?
If it can range it, it can calculate a ballistic solution. You do need internet access to build new maps, but if you have them pre-built, you should be able to access them offline. We would suggest bringing the desired map up when you have internet, and the app should have it saved and be able to display it when you are offline.
The map will be able to provide coordinates for you to paste into an app like OnX. You should be able to have your map saved when you have service, and the app should be able to bring it up offline as long as it hasn't been closed. Definitely a feature we can look into streamlining though! Feel free to give our tech team a call as well at 1-800-4VORTEX ext 1 and they can help walk through the app features or device if you'd like. 👍
hey guys when the rangefinder shows windage correction will it be in milliradians or distance ?? everytime on the video and manual i see windage on correction screen it is on yards or meters. not the actual correction value in mil or moa. thanks
it automatically seems to be using my gmail account and i did not want to do that, no option to sign out of the account either kinda a bummer there so now i need to figure out what to do as this is a major issue for me.
I am having some problems with the bluetooth. Initially it connected, then updated the firmware, and now it will not connect again. Tried uninstalling the app and also tried app on a different phone and same result. How do i fix this? Can the firmware be reverted back to previous version?
Looks exciting! Really cool to see the GeoBallistics integration happen so quickly. 🇺🇸

I believe the dots being on mean you have extended the threshold correct?

So....this won't input ranges into my kestrel, which in turn would talk to my Kestrel HUD?

It says it can calculate wind drift how does it do so without kestrel?

At 17:45 what do you mean "inches are not compatible with the Razor GB?"
I think what he meant is it doesn’t translate to inches as 1” does not exactly equal 1 Moa. Especially at distance.
Why couldn't you use Applied Ballistics like EVERYONE else?
this shit never works
