Haval H6 review / The changing of the guard?

  • Big Six gets behind the wheel of the all new Haval H6 mid-sized SUV, which is competing against the likes of the Toyota Rav4, Nissan X-trail, Hyundai Tuscon, Audi Q5, Suzuki Vitara and Mazda CX-5 to name a few. With it's powerful 2L turbo engine, which pushed out north of 150kw at break neck speed, it is certainly one the quickest SUVs on the market, but can it compete overall with the Status quo?
    Only on Africa Sideways.

    This was a rather beautiful review. I test drove this today, and yeah no! it responds really well. It has power and very super luxurious. I drive the CX-5 Akera 2.2 DE, which is also an AWD and at 140kw. So I was not disappointed at all with this car. It is amazing! and for R200k less! Will definitely be exploring this. Lovely review!

    Hey thanks for the video can you please tell me a little bit more about the different modes such as snow standard and sport what does that actually do to the car thanks

    • @Africasideways
      @Africasideways  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi thanks, the different modes affect the throttle control. So sport gives you all the revs, eco gives less revs to save fuel. The offroad modes made the car rev higher for slow gravel climbs. Likely some affect on the traction control too for snow mode. I found myself using normal/eco mode most of the time, covers most bases.

      Hard to comment on long term reliability or resale on a brand new car so you can’t call it a downside . Also car in video is a super pic which is what we call the ultra in Australia.

    • @Africasideways
      @Africasideways  ปีที่แล้ว

      It would make it, but likely some scraping underneath and on the front nose near the top of the pass. The tyres are on the low-profile side too. The Ramatselitso's Pass is a better bet for this car, a less used route and easier road about 50km from Sani. Cruise through quaint villages ect.

    I'm glad you like this car. In the Chinese market, Haval H6 has ranked first in SUV sales every month for the last five consecutive years, significantly ahead of CRV and RAV4.
    But H6 is not the same level as CRV and RAV4. I mean the price. H6 is 35% cheaper than CRV and RAV4 with the same configuration, which is why H6 sells well
