@@cowquack I would have thought it would be the other way around: PC game ported to console.
Though the main modern and most recent consoles basically are just dedicated gaming PCs.
It mainly started with the original XBOX, and it has become more true.
The XBOX was a basically just a PC in a fancy case with a fancy bios and OS.
Again, all consoles are computers, but I am saying that over time, consoles have become more PC like in nature. With the main examples being Microsoft entry to the competition.
The XBOX always has ended up being the most powerful of the four generations it has been around. Because they have always been PC hardware in a console shell.
I would say the original XBOX shell even looks like a classic flat laying PC. And the Series X looks like a tower shell PC.
Now, I am aware that Nintendo has never really gone this way. Though they did have the Family Computer and Super Family Computer. I don’t think they will go this way.
And the switch is more like a mobile Smart phone device, or like a raspberry pi, because it uses an ARM CPU.
I am not as sure about the Hardware of PlayStation.
It isn’t that I have less of them than XBOX systems.
I am a collector of mostly older systems. I have many not mentioned here. And I am sorry for posting this long ramble comment, and getting sidetracked, and cutting myself off at awkward moments. Thank you for your time.
See, the thing I _always_ wanted the most from chaos was more silly, do-nothing codes. The sounds, for example- I love that there are a couple new sound codes. It's ridiculous and unobtrusive, and as much as I adore dying repeatedly over and over for an hour, it's just as much fun to just do a star while the background music is processed through a wet t-shirt.
tl;dr Kaze is a being of entropy and creation, I still don't know how to pronounce his name, and I can't wait for my dad to play this and then fall asleep live on stream because warbly mario is his sleeper agent activation code.

i did plan to have that option available for a potential twitch vs streamer integration but it never came to be. couldn't find a willing plugin dev to do that.

The colorful block letters really sell the threat. Even I was reaching for the N64 controller to spam the D-Pad, that leftmost part of the controller that you only ever used like twice in the system's entire lifespan
one of the effects should be where it says "press dpad down TO die" gotta have the player read the message carefully

At this point I can imagine a version of Chaos that's so advanced, there's a menu that catalogs every effect you've encountered in a completion manner, separated by categories like constant, instant, cosmetic and quick-time, different effects appear in different places and difficulty scales with progression...

Glad you are still continuing development for my favorite mod ever made! Does this add back the code where mario had wierd animations like wacky running, butt flying, and the head turning while unlocking doors with power stars? Also I dont recall if the last version had the code where you restart the room like jumping out the painting again on somersaulting into the level

Is there a way to reset the current effects? I can't get into the castle because the doors aren't there and no matter how many times I restart the ROM, the exact same corruptions are running as when I last did it
