This was my "oh nothing good on youtube to watch while eating lunch hey lets make something funny" project. Want more?
@Rashataan Vuul ww::
Do the other stages. And maybe reference Doraemon in a future hack.
I like this as a whole game idea. You have an object budget and have to modify a level to ensure Luigi makes it from the start to each star.
Star Wars Pit Droids!
Luigi's Bridge Constructor
Sounds like a fun course project for a computer science class in game engine development 😂
I love how the stage is playing Luigi instead of Luigi playing the stage.
Like a fiddle
he's that powerful
In Soviet Russia...
"Congratulations, you played yourself"
The SM64 equivalent of a Rube Goldberg machine. Nicely done.
@Dziaji every copy is personalised
@Dziaji bowser stages, like bowser in the fire sea, and bowser in the sky
@Steven Herd Another example would be Tick Tock Clock, and perhaps Koopa's Roads too.
0:35 is a great example of how SM64 keeps the character in one place, but moves the model to simulate movement.
@burger you found behind the grill It isn't though, it's about system design.
@burger you found behind the grill "I know you still don't get it, but let me explain that this is about programming."
@ThreePlanet translation: "I know someone already answered and explained this to you, but I just want to add that this is about programming. Just in case you're still confused"
@Lawrence Morris By body, I meant his hitbox (the part of the player that actually interacts with the world and objects.) The model is indeed just a visual of the player's character. When you get grabbed, the model gets separated from the hitbox, which stays still while the model is put into the enemy's hands.
When the chuckya first picks up Luigi, you can see that the camera keeps moving. I didn't know chuckyas picking up the player worked the same way as a player picking up an object. Someone call pannenkoek!
@Henrix98 it's used in astral projection. It's not nodded.
This has already been explained by Pancake man. And indeed the Mario in Chuckya's hands is just a reference
I noticed this too. It's a pretty cool detail to think about.Even weirder that I know so much of the internal workings of a game I basically never played that I can just see that and say "oh mario is still there just invisible and chuckya is holding an apparition.
@Solid Zack that the throw could as well be modded, I have never seen that happen or heard about it
@Henrix98 your point being?
I like how people still use Luigi's official beta model after it got leaked than any other model existed. How long did it take you to finish this?
Omg it'sa Mario!
for it to work for me... it would be 999+
@Fan Robloxa i Minecrafta Yeah that too but the model game files was not colored so some fans did the coloring
@AuraSphere01 No, it was found in game files I think.
In case you're asking about the Luigi model, I think it's from the Super Luigi 64 romhack/mod of which Kaze once uploaded a gameplay
This is the equivalent of those Auto Mario Maker Levels. But in *3D!*
I want to see this with music
I really like this for some reason, especially the Bob-omb assembly line at the end. Luigi truly is a marvel.
And that perfectly timed moving platform near the beginning!
i call cheats i believe a half A press was used at that canon
@qactustick I'm also in agreement. Might as well make a level where you spawn on the star and say it's "doing nothing."
The whole Course is not original so what?
@Kaze Emanuar but is it really luigi does nothing if the stage is designed to do it for him?
@Ignacio Sb Yeah I agree with you. Obviously the level's modified to make it possible to actually 'do nothing', but having the cannon auto-shoot is going a bit too far since that's ordinarily a controller function as opposed to enemy or object manipulation.
@LukeSaward you are the one with a problem understanding the point. I wonder why you even replied to say something nobody ignored lol
When you unlock Luigi the levels are also modified slightly. Really added to the replay value of Mario 64 back in the day!
Unlock Luigi 👀
Luigi is smart. He expends only the energy necessary to accomplish his goals. Be like Luigi. Rush less, and let the world do its thing. You'll end up where you're going no matter what.
300 views in 3 minutes means people are definitely eating this on their lunch. Thanks Kaze
Mmm I do love me some 4k Mario 64
@King Pixel The 60fps is a bit stale today
@The Zip Creator ppl be like: damm bro these 1080p do be yummy
damn mfs be eating a video on their lunch
I've always hated rainbow ride, still haven't even got a single star in it (seriously). Luigi ls just lucky, gets everything handed to him by doing just absolutely nothing, from fame, to riches, to video games, to taking down your enemies, to women, to co starring in a tv show, to a movie, to even another movie. Lets face it, Luigi is just a chad by doing absolutely nothing, and he will take over the world by doing absolutely nothing, and as jealous as I am of him, I will be getting an early start on the inevitable Church of Luigi, by doing absolutely nothing (hopefully I also get to take down my many enemies while doing so)
man doesnt like a level in a game, you wont believe what happens next!
@SignUp-Man #42 lever saw a list with RR last.
@SignUp-Man #42 did you play on an emulator or something? I have it on switch and 64 and the controls are never slippery unless on ice
@SignUp-Man #42 when you consider it was LITERALLY the first of its kind to be made, that's probably why they said it's perfect. Still playable and beatable, a classic and the literal base of 3d games today. That's probably why they say it's perfect. Without it we'd have games like bubsy 3d instead with tank controls and ACTUAL bad level design.
Imagine if a guy left his game running, and came back to the course already being done..
Well folks, if we ever do get a 3D Mario Maker, be prepared for millions of variations on this…
This stage sure is a lot easier than I remember
Luigi: "oh no, I'm rich. I don't play platformers, I have people who do that for me."
nice of the cannon to work without any A presses
It's only half press. Not even a single one.
Nice of the cannon to work without any A presses, EY LUIGI?
I hope she made lotsa spaghetti
nice of the princess to invite us to a picnic gay luigi?
Mario when he gets the Star: “Here we go!!!”Luigi when he gets the Star: “O O O H”
Oh yes the new "No touching the controller" Speedrun category
@Synthetic Saturn oh yeah i think that is what happens if you do not touch the controller barney just beats the level for you
there is a speedrun category for a genesis game called barney's hide and seek in which you do not touch the controller and let the game beat itself
Of course the easiest and probably less impressive way would be to just spawn a warp point to the star below Luigi at the beginning.
Luigi’s voice sounds so good! Is this a new update of the Super Luigi 64 mod? I would really like his true voice to be in the Luigi 64 gameplay 😄
Luigi, Wario and Yoshi are all playable in Super Mario 64 DS. Unfortunately, 3D All-Stars went with the original version instead.
I like how this is faster than casual intended strats by a fair bit
This was pretty great. Look forward to the next installment of "Luigi Beats X By Doing Nothing"
I feel like this must've been a pain in the ass to make
It's insane that the chuckya ai works perfectly with this and that everything in this used to help Luigi can also be found in the level
I dunno chief, there were some pretty TAS only strats there. You have to show us the input display if you want this on the leaderboard
But the input display is already on screen
The amount of chuckyas showing up and throwing him was hilarious! That one falling out of the sky felt right out of a cartoon.
How did you make sure that random events like Chuckya throws would consistently give the results you needed?
They're not really "random" per se, the TASer just needs to find the RNG that gives the desired outcome.
Luigi is the type to go to the gym and just stand there....and still get more swollen than us.
This just makes the level so easy. In reality, it's really tough. *Cough* *cough* 100 coin star in this level.
Imagine starting this level then leaving the control idle while you go a toilet only to hear all the madness going on. You're puzzled but can't rush to see what is happening because you're on the toilet having a massive poo. Once done you make your way to the room only to see that the level has been completed... you have absolutely no idea on wtf happened 😂
Your creativity never ceases to amaze me!
I like how when he picks up the star he just goes "OO"
It's been a while since I've see a Luigi wins by doing absolutely nothing meme. How have you been old friend?Memes can't be friends...
1:05 Lol I love how obvious it is that Luigi is about to get pummeled for the sake of beating the level
Love this meme, surprised you actually pulled it off in 64 👌🏻Good job man, funny stuff is always welcome
As we can clearly see here, you can reach your goals only waiting life do it for you.If you are Luigi, of course.
This really brings me back to the "don't move" levels from happy wheels 🤗
Am I really the only person that never struggled with this level? I beat every star in every course on a floor before I moved on to the next one. By the time I got there, it was just enough of a challenge to keep me interested.
Same. I got all the stars and met Yoshi
Luigi may have done absolutely nothing, but kaze did absolutely everything 🔥
This was absolutely LEGENDARY
Automatic level of Mario be like: 😎👍
I love the thumbnail it perfectly captures the video
0:28 perfectly synced to the music 😎
And on the UPBEAT even 🤣
A yes This stage was so difficult when I played this as a kid. I kept falling off the stupid floating carpets but ya know what, that does not stop me from loving this game. It was my first game and I still play itSame for mario galaxy, super mario sunshine, mario kart wii and bruh yoshi storyYoshi story is my sister's favorite nintendo game and she played that game non stop all day long
The Luigi meme that keeps going. A legend. 😁
I lost it by the sound he made when he got the star 😂
I love the ONE coin he incidentally gets lol.
Damn, if Pannen manages to figure out how to unlock Luigi the A button challenge is solved
0:33 That was an interesting camera glitch! Different render position from actual position
This gave me an ungodly amount of anxiety to watch. Thank you Kaze.
Imagine leaving your game to get a snack and coming back to find you've beaten the level.
Dude, that outro was worth watching, so creative.
Love how it decides it's job was done and just yeets itself off the platform 0:58
I don't know much about Mario 64 modding, but I would like to know if you set any custom values on the chuckyas or if the angle they throw Luigi at is determined by the RNG.
🤣 That was Amazing! ❤
“TAS without looking like you’re TASing”“Hold my Luigi”
I'm actually surprised that you took the time to make a whole automatic level
I love how unlike some others it doesn't feel too crowded
Truly the Rube Goldberg machine of Super Mario 64! 😌
Props to Luigi for doing absolutely nothing
Luigi has a lot of Friends who help him overcome the various obstacles on the level.
Does getting thrown from a chuckya normally break open ! boxes? That seems totally wrong to me lol
Never seen one get so exhausted from doing absolutely nothing. He almost died!
absolutely quality content
No, can't you see? Luigi moved one pixel upwards! He did something!
The model kinda looks like the one found in the source code files, is it? Something about the way it's only slightly taller and still sorta looks like a modified Mario.
Okay, but can we talk about that absolutely brilliant and unique "like and subscribe" at the end?
*Mario grabs star*Ba-da-ba-ba-da-DOP-BOP-BOP"Let's a-go!!"*Luigi grabs star*Ba-da-ba-ba-da-DOP-BOP-BOP"oof."
It’s like one of those win by standing still Mario Maker stages
Now that's what I call, "Pro Gamer Skills."
The cannon shot counts as Luigi doing something
Oh My God... I had a good laugh. 🤣😁(This brings back memories from a TV Show named "El Chapulín Colorado", in which the Superhero solves all cases and beats up the Villains by accident and receiving the most of the beats, like a Cartoon 🤣)Thank You 👍🏻
Wait... How did the cannon fire without pressing A?
@Deoplo oh. Well, that doesn't feel right to edit it to make it fire. Everything else is just added while this one is edited
in reply to another comment Kaze said he made the cannon fire automatically
A series of perfect timings
be honest kaze how long did it take for you to get the perfect rng for this
Holy shit, Luigi is at a WR pace!
Just goes to show you Luigi is the luckiest plumber in all of the mushroom kingdom!
Didn't he press A to select the mission and to fire the cannon?
This was essentially an Automatic Mario mod level.
I like to imagine the moment Luigi enters the level and quickly gets burned. And his dead corpse is just getting brought to the end. Meaning he was dead all along. That's why he did *nothing.*This is a joke don't take it seriously.
To fire the cannon at the end you have to press button A. So you actually did something... Fail.
i never knew 3d auto mari-whoops, i meant luigi levels were a thing
I don't see how he gets launched from the cannon if he's doing nothing. Cause I'm pretty sure you usually aim and fire the cannon to leave it normally.
I work hard to beat Rainbow Ride and Luigi does it by just standing there.
2:11 ah yes Luigi’s signature catchphrase, “ough”
Automatic levels have reached a new high. They have transcended past Mario Maker.
So it's basically a Press Nothing Trackmania equivalent of SM64, neat.
Technically he did have to throw himself from that canyon
My gosh, wish I could do that.
It's like a Rube Goldberg machine with Luigi as a marble!
Automatic levels in Mario Maker be like :
The hero we need.
That’s impossible! How did Luigi do that? Mario is super jealous!
I’d like to ride that rainbow road lol
You shot from the cannon. So technically he did something
