    📚 Use Snapdrop: snapdrop.net/
🖥 Similar service to Snapdrop called ShareDrop: www.sharedrop.io/
🔐 A note on privacy and security: Snapdrop uses an encrypted peer-to-peer connection between your devices using a technology called WebRTC. WebRTC needs a signaling server to establish a connection, but the server is not involved in the transfer of the files. Your files do not touch an external server. Snapdrop code is open-source, and you can review on GitHub: github.com/RobinLinus/snapdrop You can even deploy on your own server, so you handle the signaling without any third party involved.

Then you find a way. It is very difficult to make new ways for things. Design a new house idea that doesn't exist. It is almost impossible. A website is one of the easiest ways to do it. It's like making a website with no experience or help.

There's another way. There are usb drives that has a plug for a phone built in. I used to have one but got lost at school, it was real useful when my phone ran out of storage and id put it there and then transfer it to another drive thing like a store jet. I believe it's more convenient than using these 3rd party apps.

I would rather suggest you to setup SMB (Samba). You don't have to install anything, just enable sharing on specific folders.
Then add that SMB account to any device on your local network. That's all.
You can then quickly access or edit those folder/files at any time from any device securely, as long as your PC is on.
You should also set up Microsoft Remote Desktop app on your phone. So you can lay on the couch and do casual work on your PC through your phone/tablet without needing to seat in front of the PC.

Hey Kevin, curious, have you or are you using a Surface Duo, specifically Surface Duo 2? What is your daily phone; iPhone or Android? Great video too.
I'm playing in a parallel world of Mac and Windows; specifically Surface Pro 8 with a Surface Duo 2, and a Mac Studio, iPhone, Apple Watch, and iPad. I love the Surface Pro 8 device (true computer and tablet with excellent writing capability) and trying to slip into the Surface Duo 2 for the same reason and it's dual screens.
Both iPhone and Surface Duo 2 have great but different features and benefits that make them excellent devices. I'm torn deciding if I can choose one over the other for full time use. I may just have to duct tape them together and use in them in that manner. LOL
P.S. I'm stuck in a similar scenario between Google Workspace and Office 365. Too many choices.

Just use any open source SSH & SFTP app.

For internal network / no need for a signaling server, try FileZilla. It's an excellent free FTP solution.

Looks fantastic! I do wonder how they make money from this site though...

I believe it's all user supported. There's a donation/support option on the GitHub repository: github.com/RobinLinus/snapdrop

this is so clear and awesome however I want to transfer many of my important NOTE FILES from my iphone to my pc. Snapdrop didn't seem to have an option for this specific need. Any suggestions? I don't want to use iCloud for storage on my pc as I don't have that much storage without paying more. Thank you so much! Your videos are always clear, concise and without long, complicated stuff, yay!!!

Hi Kevin, I'm glad u recommend a good way to transfer files between Android phone and PC. But have a question to ask: Can we use this resort to backup android phones apps and it's data? Bcos u din mention anything about it. So, would greatly appreciate if u could reply my comment soonest time possible. Thanks in advanced.

Another great video. I tested it and it worked great and will greatly help my volunteer work when I have to send clients' files. I hated that part of work and tried to avoid it 😒.
I noticed that I may have to refresh the screen when it ignores me (possibly timed out?). May be fixed already. Have not tried sharedrop yet.

    It doesn't even work...
I select the device, select the file, but then it just goes back without any indication that any file is being transferred, neither does the recipient receive any pop up about accepting the file or an indication that anything is downloading.
