THANK YOU (to say the very least!) As soon as I hit the file transfer button on my phone, a window popped up on my computer and said "Looking for photos and videos to transfer" (nearly 600 of them!). Now I can remove some of them from my phone and free up some much needed space. Rest assured that I will mention you in my prayers tonight! God bless!
Oh wow, he starts by explaining that A is a letter, and so is B, and that you have to connect the cable in the phone and computer for it to work , what a genius. I didn't know that, so now it all works for me.
Thanks! I just got a Samsung Galaxy A13 and was going nuts with transferring photos to my Acer desktop, Windows11. I didn't know if it would work as your vid is 2 yrs old but it did. Doesn't look exactly the same but close and I selected transfer images, and it showed up on my PC file folders. First time using this process. Cheers, Bob
Thank you so much this process had me stumped but you made it so easy with these instructions I kind of feel foolish that I didn't figure this out a long time ago lol.👍
Thank you for the kind words! You should never feel foolish for not knowing something. As long as you know where to find the answer, you are smarter than 90% of the population! 😁
thank you for making it simple, but my pc does not see my android. when i plug it in nothing happens . i know i have paired them preveously to share my screen, but i am missing a step. i believe it is the right cable
Great question! SMS Messages are a bit of a mystery to me. I don't know where they are stored on the device. I suppose you COULD transfer them, but I usually sync them to my google account (Messages) and transfer them over when getting a new phone or you could use Microsoft Phone Link. Again, great question. Thank you for watching.
How do you get it to do the recognization bit where it makes the beep sound as you plug it in?? HOW do you get it to do this bit?? IT is MISSING from ALL the tutorials online. 'Its easy just plug it in and get it to recognise the device...blah blah...' But HOW DO YOU DO THIS!!?!?!?!
Great question! If your PC is not recognizing your phone or tablet when you plug it in, try a different cord. Believe it or not, cords have different abilities (Some are only for charging and can't transfer data), and sometimes they will go bad and can't transfer data. Try a different cord and see if your PC recognizes your device. Thank you for the question!
@@mochibae4018 Great question! You could simply drag and drop the files off copy and paste them as you would if you were transferring them to a flash drive or any other storage device. I hope that helps! Thank you for watching.
The computer doesnt recognize the Android. A second Android worked fine. There must be something with the settings of the Android. Any idea where/what to do? Thank you!
I would recommend checking your phone. Pull down the menu from the top screen and you will probably see something saying "Charging from USB device" Click on that notification and choose one of the other options listed. Another thing you could try is a different cord. Some USB cords will not transfer data.
Great question! Your picks and videos are usually found in the DCIM folder. I don't know why they make it so hard. See if that helps. Thank you for the comment and tanks for watching!
I have a Samsung S20FE, and I followed your steps to a tee, yet it won't recognize the pics I have in my DCIM photo folder. I can see them on my phone, but when I plug it to my pc, the DCIM folder shows it's empty. I'm obviously doing something wrong. Thanks for sharing your video none the less.
I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems. My first guess would be that your phone is saving your pics and videos in a different location. Although rare, sometimes the path is inadvertantly changed. You can find the path by searching your files. I'll post a video today about how to find the pics of they are not in the DCIM folder. Great question!
I plug it in and no window comes up. I can't navigate to any feature that recognises fil transfers via USB on either the Android of the PC. The only thing easy about this process is that it doesn't seem to exist.
How do you access a certain photo app? I have 3 on my phone. Google Photos, Amazon photos, and Samsung Gallery photos. I want to clean up the Google photos specifically. And I don’t know how to access them in my Samsung phone..
I have a problem with my pc when i connect my android phone it wont read the devices, i dont know it its the desktop problem or the phone what could it be?
@@eleazaralvarez1472 before you go any further, try a different cord just to make sure. The next thing I would do is reboot your PC and your phone. Lastly, does your phone see the PC. In the notification section it should ask you how you want the phone to respond. Make sure you choose "Transfer files", I hope this helps.

I would like to know how can I use WhatsApp to put in a file on the website. I hope you understand what I'm asking, it's not let me know. Thanks in advance
That's a great question. Unfortunately I am not familiar with what's app. Maybe you could upload the file straight from your phone instead of plugging it in at all? Thank you for watching!
Hmmmmm. I appreciate the comment, but it is hard to troubleshoot that without being there. I would reboot the pc and then plug the tablet back in. The PC should recognize that something has been plugged in.
Hmmm. What kind of phone and laptop do you have? Have you tried shutting them both down and restarting them? Sometimes it is the cord. Believe it or not, sometimes they just go bad. I might try a different cord.
@@Myandybuck I have a galaxy a25 and a pc (not a laptop). I tried restarted and even reinstalling the phone too. It was a new cord, but I'll look for a new cord, I guess. It does charge fine. Thank you for responding too
@@daddyleon It sounds like your PC isn't recognizing when something is plugged in. You could also try a different USB port on your PC. Another thought would be that you could open File Explorer on your PC and scroll down on the left side. If you see your phone on the left hand tree, then go to your phone, pull down the drop down menu and change the setting for how the phone reacts as shown in the video. Then open the phone in file explorer and you should be all set!
@@MyandybuckIt worked with a different cable! May I ask though, do you know of a way to transfer the listening history of my apple podcasts to my new pocket cast?
