Thank you so much! As a "senior" beginner I do appreciate your efforts to educate us slow learners. I'd love to do big air kinda stuff right away but one gotta start somewhere and you, Sir, help get me started on this great sport!
Love your videos and your clear explanations. I”m part of a fb group for over 30’s beginner skateboarders. Some total newbies like me, some who are picking it back up as adults who haven’t skated since they were young. People in their 30’s, 40’s, 50’s, 60’s and probably more actually. People from all over the world. Shared this video in the group cuz I need to learn everything in this haha. So much practice to do. Awesome job.
Tacooo I appreciate your videos bro I’m 2 months into boarding and got ollies and pops but now building up and getting those tricks the best I can so I can move into flip tricks:)
Been skating for a year and still can’t ollie. I’m a slow learner lol but your tutorials always help with other tricks and even helped me make progress on my ollie!
OMG!! You have the best channel i've ever seen!! I've watched so many video's and then I found yours and I needed one video that explained everything! Thank you so much!!
Taco, thanks for these, will definitely try them out. I can ollie moving but stuggling to ollie over objects and up curbs. back foot just does not want to stay on.
Hey Sean love your vids just wanted to say you're the best kept secret of skateboarding, love your in depth tutorials. Finally someone who describes real problems and how to do tricks not just "yea put your foot like that and slide off the board with your heel" and there you have a heelflip! like most skate tutorials out there. Taco
dude, the tip with the manual about picking up your knee?? never even thought about that, I thought it was just about pressure on the back foot. thanks so much, videos like these are always so helpful!! gonna try this next time I go skate :) taco
Aye mate, I saw your videos while working on ollies and longboard slides as research for teaching snowboarding. So with that in mind I tried a few other things that I think could be added to this list, even a second video made of. 1. Do the primo flip in both directions. Pulling the skate back to you and pushing yourself backwards can teach you a lot about how to pay attention to your body to get that result. Was fun to learn when I tried it today. 2. Also do the half Casper without the board spin both forward and switch. Just flip the board wheel side down and land on it. Practicing off of the nose and off the tail so you can get used to doing this switch. 3. I spent a lot of time walking my skateboard around. Forwards, backwards, turning frontside and backside. All just to get used to pivoting on the wheels, passive manual practice, and just learning how to pressure and manipulate the board with someone fine motor skill movement. It's making a huge difference in getting comfortable with not having my feet strapped in and paying attention to the feedback my body is getting from the deck.
Taco... thanks for some new ideas. I have a decent pop when still, but struggle while in motion. Landed my first ever shove it the other day, danb that felt good cant wait to have that feeling again on some new tricks. Cheers for the videos...
This is really helpful especially since i haven’t been able to complete the ollie yet. So i’ve been watching this video when i go practice to learn these tricks.
Can you do 5 tricks for intermediate skaters but not the obvious ones from sms 5 Nice video btw I would even ad the slappy Noseslide which is really easy if you are bored of only doing flatground
@@seanbrownskating Thanks for the encouragement. I rolled for about an hour yesterday and I identified every tightness and structural imbalance in my entire body. There is a lot of untapped potential.
It’s really a mix between personal preference and shoe size. Most people will start off with an 8in board to see how it is and go from there. I wear a size 12 shoe and skate an 8.5in
Taco! Your videos are a lot more in-depth and helpful than others I’ve seen, I’m so glad I found your channel. Thanks for making so many videos geared toward beginners too, it really helps me feel more included and less bad about myself 😂 Hope you’re doing well!
First of all taco. Hey thanks for that manual tip! I got a skateboard because I was really bored and being inside the house all the time because of covid-19 and all was really driving me crazy. So I'm pretty new to skateboarding even though I used to ride as a kid so I'm not fully clueless but my manuals still suck pretty bad, tomorrow I'll try to improve them with your tip!
Taco. Found out about your channel earlier today and you are easily my favorite skating channel. You have really good explanations and demonstrations. You seem like such a cool dude. Subscribed already
I have a question, I want to get Bones rough riders and they say 70 x 56mm. I know what the 55mm means but I don’t know what the 70 means. I have 55mm street wheels and I’m not sure if there going to fit and I have a 8 deck and trunks. do u think u could help?
HAPPY FATHERS DAY AND GO SKATE DAY!
