Please don’t apologize for not wanting to go live. I for one do not like the live broadcast where they speak a sentence and then talk to somebody on their computer and then speak another sentence and speak to somebody else. I love the formats that you use and I love you and Aaron doing the commentary together.
Thank you for not doing “lives” on TH-cam. Even for gardeners I follow and like, I find them the MOST boring things ever and no longer even attempt to watch them. I hope you realize how far superior your channel is to almost every gardening channel out there. The content is useful and relevant, and you have gotten the timing and quality down to an art. Even though I’m across the country in zone 7b and fight clay soil, heat & humidity, almost everything you do is helpful to me. I love your channel - don’t change a thing!
@@darlenemartinez384 I don’t! I love the way all kinds of kritters etc can thrive in an invironment that was non existing before. A few times I have slowed down the playback speed only to watch a technique I want to learn because you are so efficient. The music, your narrative content and delivery, the action and quality of filming and editing is superb. You are the Gold Standard of Garden Videos 🏆🥇🌟👏
So well said. I'm an immigrant, and I can understand her. If I am in doubt of anything, I will use captions and/or slow it down. But that happens rarely ❤

Who needs a live video when the recaps are so fun! Now that Aaron has joined in they are quite entertaining. I love the back and forth of your conversations.
For feedback…you do an EXCELLENT job editing your videos and fast forwarding a repetitious job is a gift, it definitely communicates the effort without letting boredom set in. We get the idea!
I agree, I'm never bored watching Garden Answer. Garden Answer videos have not been put on hold or skipped. I by-pass some gardening videos because of the delivery, they over talk, repetitive and boring. Garden Answer is my favorite gardening video.
Thank you! I really dislike most live video content. Many people interact so much with the watchers and don’t say much else. I’m not interested in watching someone talk to people commenting. Keep on doing YOU. We love it!
I saw that huge discrepancy in the Chitalpa tag, so I called PW. They explained to me the process of how long it takes to get a plant out on the market and sometimes they think that it will be one size and then through the different trial gardens they find out it will be another size. They can’t go around and update all the tags, so they just update their website. They told me to always go by what’s on the website, not the tag. That was good information for me because I have noticed that with other tags too, and so now I know which one to trust. Thank you for all the fun things you share with us!
Just an FYI. I loved loved loved it when Benjamin gave a narrative of the project. He’s adorable. Maybe it’s the grandma in me but the kids being involved is just THE cutest and so enjoyable 🥰
Little Samantha bringing momma a beautiful flower is sooo precious! No way can you get upset...another memory to cherish. I just love how you and Aaron "discuss", and each make your own points. Do you two EVER really argue?????? (I doubt it). Compromise and respecting each others opinions seem more how you handle disagreements. So commendable. It's another reason why we love you two so much.
Benjamin was ADORABLE with his mini-segments throughout this week! Loved it! Excited about you becoming a distributor for Rainbird. Question. Could you make a faucet-to-drip bundle? I watched your video from last year where you installed a drip system at Aaron’s sisters’ house for the raised bed garden and it was very helpful. I’m just having a hard time finding all the individual parts. Thank you for being so informative.
Laura, you guys are so gracious; these are garden answer videos, not house and garden. I think it’s inappropriate when viewers ask why the placement of the hutch ; how do you us the sun porch? That’s your business where and what you do in your home. Love, love your videos; I’m learning so much! Please keep them coming. ❤
Laura, your videos are always fun, sweet, and educational. They are such a breath of fresh air as well! Thank you, and Aaron, for giving so much of your time to produce enjoyable videos!

Aaron, you can never have too many tractor! My husband and I I have his and hers tractors. One is smaller. We use them in different ways and sometimes we are using them at the same time. I think it is smart to keep both.
Lives always seem to be so much pressure for the you tuber, trying to read the comments while answering questions. Like your other decisions, "staying in your lane" is so smart! I watch you mainly for inspiration, thank you!
Love the "I brought you a flower, Mommy!" My mother had a great one from when my sister was little. Ali brought a handful of spring blooms picked from our neighbor's gardens, and our mother said, "These are lovely sweetheart, but you know my favorite flowers are dandelions!" (which likely made our neighbors very happy!)
I love the recap videos you do, but this one was over the top. Love how you two interact, especially when you disagree. Aaron gets sassy, and Laura sasses right back, but you laugh through it all. Such a loving couple who provide a wonderful show. Samantha gifting you with the flower reminds me when my son was two years old, and he broke off my first blooming tulip to give to me. What do you do? The only thing a mother can do is to give them a big hug and thank them profusely for the lovely gift which Laura did. What a wonderful mother you are, Laura.
Just to interject on the "room" where your table with bouquet and hutch, old homes (homes back in the day) had what is called a reception hall. That room was the center location leading to the other rooms on the first floor, the stair case, and the front door. Some of the old homes had a fireplace and built-in sitting area as well.

When I watch your videos on TH-cam they are new and I never have commercials pop up on them And you are correct about not doing “Live” casts. You don’t allow negative or cranky stuff on the videos. Thank you for that. We all have our moments of negativity and crankiness. Watching your channel takes us to your beautiful land and gardens. It’s a gift for all that you share your gardening journey with us 🌹🌻🌸💐🌳
Here, I am, 1.45 am in New Zealand, and cant sleep, you are my first thing in the morning, LOL, You all are the high light of my day, You have no idea how much you bring joy into peoples lives. in the end i had to watch you, cause, laying here, going , watch me , watch me LOL, You have the sweetest boy,
I am so grateful your channel consists of legitimate videos and not “shorts” or “lives”. Do I love your longer videos? Absolutely! I could watch your videos all day long. I just absolutely love how down to earth and genuine your channel is. I’ve always known Laura didn’t like hibiscus, they’re too “tropical” for her taste, but it’s good to hear more of them are going in your dirtlands.
I also appreciate that you don’t want to appear negative or cranky on your videos even though we all are at times. It really is a huge turn off even if the person is not usually like that, or even has a reason for being that way. I was watching Creekside last night and Jenny was cranky and fussy with viewers again and that was why I had stopped watching them before. Maybe it’s only a handful of times and I am just lucky enough to catch those, but same with another gardener I used to watch for years. When he started getting cranky and fussing at viewers and telling us what we should and shouldn’t do, it was such a huge turnoff I haven’t watched him in about a year either. I work more than 60 hours a week and it’s very stressful, so I just want to relax and be peaceful and not be condescended to or told off like I am a child. 😊. I know it must be hard to take some comments, but I think replying negatively to them is always a mistake because it’s not going to help and it’s going to turn off more people. I think maybe it’s better to not read them, or just have someone more removed read them and then only relay any relevant ones, leaving out anything annoying. Just my opinion, but I think responding in a negative or sarcastic way to annoying comments is a losing proposition. And, it may sometimes at least, be that the person didn’t even intend to be annoying or leave a negative comment. 😊. And, unlike an annoying work email that you still have to reply to, you at least are fortunate in that you can choose to ignore any comments you wish. 😃
Great video, as always. I particularly love the banter between you two, especially when you go off on tangents. I've done the same in the past and for me it's reminiscent of some very good times. Thanks so much for being an inspiration to so many, with much love, light and education.
I actually really like your longer videos! And I love that you have a shorter version on your other channel and a longer one on this one. It feels like were getting double the Garden Answer, and I love it! 💖
Thundershowers kept me awake, off and on, all night. I am pet/house sitting and they have a Basset Hound who is terrified of booms and even rumbles. So, we had rounds of rain, all night, and yesterday afternoon and evening, too!, here in the Texas panhandle. She whined every time the showers started until they passed. I have up about 5:30 and got up. I was waiting for the GA video!😂 Bless her heart... She just trembles and shudders and whines... I can't help her, I just tried to let her know it would pass...😢
Good morning. About the commercials, not sure if anyone has it but I have an ad blocker and use it in the you tube. This helps me with having to keep skipping the commercials. That has been a game changer for me watching the you tube videos that I choose to subscribe to. On another string I love how you and Aaron do your thing. You both and your helpers are just being yourselves. And like what the person from Sweden said you don't need to apologize. Have a wonderful day and you both have taught me new thing about the gardening and lawn jobs you need to do.
Aaron is FANTASTIC at Debate. Perhaps he should go into politics..... JUST KIDDING!.... I totally enjoy the banters and comradery you two have. I love watching your videos and look forward to each new one. I have boasted about, and convinced many others to begin watching them as well. Thank you not only for the gardening education you are giving all of us, but also for the entertainment and laughter as well. God Bless.
You'd be very proud of me: I installed a drip irrigation system throughout all of my gardens this summer. My most significant challenge was attaching the connectors to the tubing. A Laura video would have been very helpful! You can do this in your sleep, but I needed help. At 72, I simply don't have the hand strength that you do. After experimentation I found that a jug of hot water did the track: Submerge the tubing for 10-15 seconds and it's softens adequately to allow the connector to be inserted.
Lots of old houses has a landing that used to be the place you greeted guest when they arrived/landed. I have always wanted a landing but never had it. As your house is built on I guess the landing got further back instead of beeing the greeting area. The same with the area outside with small pieces of grass it looks like a formal greeting area where the horse and carrige could go round to leave off people or people could get on their carrige. We had that kind of ”round about” in our old property. It is fun to imagin horses & carriges with ladies in long dresses and hats coming for afternoon tea or dinner parties! Oh how fun if the walls could talk & tell us stories in the past!
I put compost in my garden beds in fall and fertilize as well. But then I cover them with black plastic to prevent leeching and weeds. This has worked for me for 25 yrs. It is so nice to walk out in spring, remove plastic, and just plant.
I’m so glad Aaron does these recaps with you and that he is so comfortable being on camera. He really ads so much more to the recap’s! Love hearing his smart ass remarks! He is hilarious 😂 Question…. Do you or Arron ever feel nervous now doing videos????? Inquiring minds wanna know !!!!
Laura and Aaron you are very different than everyone else and I love that about you, your information translates so naturally and that makes me relate to you guys. Laura you do not need to go live, girl… “you do you” 😊
Your tour videoing is perfect. I love the varied length and the extra postings you have on Facebook. I also like that you edit them and use real time and speed up time. People may not realize how boring it can get or impossible to film everything especially when you have to stop to go get more tools and other items. You show us what is most important. I also love the parts where the children interrupt and you show part of that, real life!
Love your videos. Learned so much. I am a horse lover & will enjoy your horse videos greatly too. Understand not wanting to go live. We are lucky you share any of your life & experience. Do it your way it works. Thank you.
I love the length of your videos! I don't want to watch super long videos. Yours are perfect! Not redundant...Actually, I still learn, and then quickly see the final result. Great job! Love your channel! I love the kiddos and the kitties as well! You keep things fun and positive! We all need a little beauty, warmth, and positivity! 🤩
I have really grown to love the recaps! Love the sharing of information between you both. Your personalities are wonderful! And I continue to learn so much. I enjoy how you speed up videos with repetitive work. Your video lengths are great! Keep on editing-I can understand why you have no desire for live! Keep doing you ❤. The fall project lists are so special. Wonderful memories are being made with you and the kids! Thanks for the content you share with us! ❤❤❤
I’m sorry but you all are a part of my daily routine. I watch every single one of your videos while I have my coffee and wake up. If I met you I would approach you as a friend who has become a part of my family (I wouldn’t but I would want to) I feel like I know and love your whole family because I watch you daily. ❤❤ I love that you believe in Christ and you all are so sweet to each other. Saturdays are sad because I don’t have my daily dose of Laura. No, I’m not pressuring you because God knows we all need a day off. ❤
Thank God, Bethany is there to give you info on horses! In my very limited knowledge of horses ( I worked in a stable for a year to help pay for my daughter's lessons), the nicest horses to me were quarter horses. Thoroughbreds I don't think are a beginners horse. I could be wrong. I love the Vanners.
I was around horses when my parents rented a house with 600 acres. They also had three horses and a mule that we also bought a couple horse of our own horses to ride. My brother and two sisters and I really enjoyed that time of ridding the horses all over the property. It was one of the funnest times I remember as a kid. Good luck with your new adventure with your horses.❤️
I've heard the saying that in nature there are no straight lines. To attain the beauty you're striving for, sometimes you have to fight nature. And she's a scrappy fighter! Looking forward to seeing your vision for the area come to life!
Rainbird distributor sounds great. I have put off setting up a system in my garden but after viewing so many of your wonderful videos with positive feedback I’m excited to finally give it a try. Love your Sunday recaps 👌
I like Aaron's new John Deere cap. You sure do have a lot going in the beginning of October, boxwood hedge, Dream Stream, fall decorating, planting and beginning winter prep. The quality of your videos is better for not going live. Once you go waist high raised beds you'll never go back. You know for years that chicken coop area was looking so good, that recent video showed (reminded me) me that any area in your garden at some time may need a revamp.
I am like Aaron. I think about the why a company or person chooses to do something. Just trying to understand their perspective, not necessary justify it. Always appreciate your guys's videos and your marriage and relationship on camera just brings us smiles. We know we're not the only ones that I'll have these kind of discussions. Jim & Rose
Same! Always looking to see all sides of things. Doesn’t mean I agree though.😆 I think there would be more kindness in the world and less hate if more people would do so.
I don’t love the live videos. I like watching videos on my time. I also think live videos are just random loose talking that just aren’t my thing. You don’t have to apologize. We love you the way you are. Also the person asking the question may have been honestly asking if it was a thing but on a different platform.
Samantha & the flower at the end!! Made me think of me & my mom. Another era, another mindset. I distinctly remember cutting a bunch of dandelions from our yard & giving them to her in a bundle. She tossed them in the trash & was not "happy" with me. 😮 My lesson was learned. She was a great & loving mom, but those things were the bane of her existence at the time. Things change & I bet her grandkids could get away with it. It sounds bad, now, but it is actually a favorite memory of mine.
Samantha bringing you that flower at the end was just PRECIOUS! And you were so encouraging about it😆 A couple of questions from this recap: Are the Invincibelle Ruby hydrangeas your favorite small variety, or would you recommend another variety for a small space? Also, can they handle more shade than a paniculata like Tiny Quick Fire or Bobo?
Oh No Samantha so cute though.😮😂. Love this video love how you and Aron kibitz back and forth and make each other laugh. ❤. I’m still amazed at Arons knowledge now great job. 💯💯💯 You 2 make an amazing team.💯💯💯 Thanks again for sharing this with us.💯💯💯🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
I am still in the middle of watching, but I have to give a huge shout out to how beautiful all four quadrants of the cut flower garden are!!! Eye or string it looks amazing…DON’T second guess yourself!! Now back to the Sunday morning video😁☕️
Agreed. The big dinner plate hibiscus are fabulous at a distance. Mine can be seen from inside the house. Even the fading flowers look fine. But never in a “walk-by” area. Too many blooms coming and going. They do not drop spent blooms cleanly: they drape on the plant and dry out slowly. Easy enough to remove spent blooms by hand, but you would need to do this daily. Always stunning at a distance.
Inspired by Aaron, I had decided this next season I need a watering system in my garden and have begun to devise a plan. I’m very excited I can support you all by buying the rain bird materials from you directly!! I’m on the hunt for Laura’s tutorial on the contraption at the water spigot. Perhaps you can consolidate all of your TH-cam links to the tutorials you have on the watering system for easy/no-brain power locating.
I’m really enjoying watching how things are evolving. I absolutely recognize how children and their aging leads to change. You embrace these changes so positively.
Personally, I love the 30-40 videos. It’s perfect treadmill time. You guys make workout time joyful and quick!! Thank you for letting me dream while working out!!?
I recommend raised beds. Even a foot high bed does great. I had the most productive garden ever when I moved to raised beds. It sure saves the back & knees. 🌻🌸💐
Oh Aaron! So true! Foxes are majestic looking! Thanks for giving me a word for how they look! Question. Have you ever thought about putting your clips together for a show on say Hydrangeas? Grasses? Lavenders? I can’t keep them all straight and we are landscaping a new house in the spring, so this would be so interesting. But also it would help keep your editor busy in the winter.
Fun moments with your recap. Laura. I, think you are very expert, on arguably convincing another person that is not what they want. Hilarious, Aaron Is a Toupie turner in convincing you, want what previously you were pondering! Love every minute spent in your englobing Gardening, Beautiful evolution, Benjamin and Samantha growing up so quickly. Happy for you both, all the good thing you live with and for. From England.
Maybe you already know this but rainbird sells a gardeners drip kit, it has everything you need (minus a timer) to get you started. Pressure regulator, 1/2” supply line and drip line, 1/4” tubing, emitters, stakes, it’s sooo handy to get and then expand
Please don’t apologize for not wanting to go live. Again, I agree 100%
Totally agree!!

"I don't want to." 😊

When I watch your videos on TH-cam they are new and I never have commercials pop up on them
And you are correct about not doing “Live” casts.
Benjamin melted our hearts this week and love his creativity. Samantha brings the bling to everything and just darling.
Great video, as always. I particularly love the banter between you two, especially when you go off on tangents. I've done the same in the past and for me it's reminiscent of some very good times. Thanks so much for being an inspiration to so many, with much love, light and education.
“It’s sort of older traditional…like maybe the 1990’s” Ha! I got a kick out of this!❤❤❤
I thought Laura meant 1890s 😂😆🤣
I actually really like your longer videos! And I love that you have a shorter version on your other channel and a longer one on this one. It feels like were getting double the Garden Answer, and I love it! 💖
Thunderstorms got me up early on a Sunday. So coffee, Aaron and Laura it is! Have a great week!
I was waiting for the GA video!😂
Bless her heart... She just trembles and shudders and whines... I can't help her, I just tried to let her know it would pass...😢
We had them ALL night! Not complaining though, we desperately need rain!
God Bless.
He might go into politics, he’s very patriotic.
Good for you!
Wow, Cyndi! I’m so impressed! I’ve been wanting to do this for several years and haven’t gotten up the courage.
I have to have leather gloves on and I sometimes have to use needle nose pliers. My hands just can’t do it!
I really enjoy watching the recap videos. Just wanted to put that out there😊
Love your videos and how you and Aaron converse with each other even when your ideas are different. It is so cute.
You're spot on. Six videos a week is indulgent for all of us out here, and I very much appreciate what you guys accomplish!
Great idea! I just installed raised beds this summer and will try that. Thank you!
I’m so glad Aaron does these recaps with you and that he is so comfortable being on camera. He really ads so much more to the recap’s! Love hearing his smart ass remarks! He is hilarious 😂
Question…. Do you or Arron ever feel nervous now doing videos????? Inquiring minds wanna know !!!!
Yes. Foxes are magical! I love to watch their graceful trot.
Laura and Aaron you are very different than everyone else and I love that about you, your information translates so naturally and that makes me relate to you guys. Laura you do not need to go live, girl… “you do you” 😊
“It looks like it’s trying to die!” I’m laughing so hard! I’m stealing this to add to my garden lingo!
I loved this recap video. You and Aaron crack me up when you’re debating about something. Just such a sweet and fun couple.
Good going live drives me nuts. I love that you’re staying in your own lane.❤
Thank you.
Using your spent crops for animal feed is awesome. Since I've gotten chickens, I have relatively no food waste.
I'm shaking my head yes when you were explaining the seasonal tubs.
I just love watching you two bounce ideas off eachother.
i learn something with every video and when the recap comes it really puts it embedded in my brain thank you both
I always appreciate and notice you guys always being positive.
I think y’all do an excellent job. Y’all are the best garden show on TH-cam. Have an extraordinary AUTUMN.
Love your video and how helpful you are. Thank you.
I watched that Creekside episode showing the hooks to always have the option of strings to manicure edges. It was brilliant
Love the way you turn something into precious, your daughter is so so sweet! She looks like like you! Look on Aaron face worth a million!
Rainbird distributor sounds great. I have put off setting up a system in my garden but after viewing so many of your wonderful videos with positive feedback I’m excited to finally give it a try. Love your Sunday recaps 👌
Good morning all happy Sunday morning to all of you guys and I enjoy your channel and you all amazing supporter
You guys do such a great job already, your channel is the first thing I check out in the morning!
And you were so encouraging about it😆
A couple of questions from this recap: Are the Invincibelle Ruby hydrangeas your favorite small variety, or would you recommend another variety for a small space? Also, can they handle more shade than a paniculata like Tiny Quick Fire or Bobo?
Oh No Samantha so cute though.😮😂. Love this video love how you and Aron kibitz back and forth and make each other laugh. ❤. I’m still amazed at Arons knowledge now great job. 💯💯💯 You 2 make an amazing team.💯💯💯
Thanks again for sharing this with us.💯💯💯🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
I am still in the middle of watching, but I have to give a huge shout out to how beautiful all four quadrants of the cut flower garden are!!! Eye or string it looks amazing…DON’T second guess yourself!! Now back to the Sunday morning video😁☕️
Ooohhhh you 2 crack me up. I just love watching you 2. Little Samantha loves her momma. You’re Soo funny Aaron. Bye😀😀😀
I’m amazed at all you do!!! No need to feel like we need more-I should spend more time tending my own gardens instead of watching yours 😂😂😂😂
Thanks Aaron and Laura!
Always nice to watch you all.
🧔🏻♂️🎙️👩🏼💻🪴
Aaron, I thought your answer was so funny about the plant you don’t like
looks like it’s trying to die….Hahaha 🤣 🤣
