I agree! The longer the better, I hate shorties I feel jipped. Laura is wonderful to watch and doesn’t have a single annoyance like some of the other videos out there. She is fun, knowledgeable, and her yard is beautiful-it really is a skill!
My daddy used to say, “ If it ain’t broke don’t fix it” nothing ‘broken’ here with your videos! I also get irritated with someone who tells me what the video is going to be for fifteen minutes. I have NEVER felt like you have talked in excess- NEVER !! When you talk I feel like I’m your friend there for a visit and you are chatting with me. It’s a gift you have.
Aaron and Laura…you are so dear…your videos are like visiting with beloved family member. I love that you are realizing that your time with your kiddies is precious and speeds by so fast! Thank you for all your videos
I have never watched any of your videos where I thought you talked to much. I always learn so much, so please don't change anything! And I always enjoy the kids, so let them talk all they want!
I enjoy her videos, but sometimes she's long winded....- she tends to talk for a very long time before planting. Some people (like Laura mentioned in this video) want to just see planting content. Often I skip ahead of the talking to see where she's going to put things ...
Laura I’m a faithful follower from NC. Our NC mountains have had catastrophic devastation from the storm Helene. Please keep our state all in your prayers. Our beautiful blue ridge have been devastated.the whole western part.
So surprised it wasn't mentioned in the video. Tremendous damage and destruction and so many people who have lost everything. Redirecting my plant budget to my neighbors in western NC. Hope others will consider donations.
I have 6 sons. One thing I did was allow them to stay up as late as they wanted if they were reading in bed. Everyone always had a light by the bed. For them it seemed like such a treat. Reading is the one thing that if you can inspire your kids to read well, the middle school and high school years will be so much easier. Find a series that they love ( Bobby Pendragon) and then keep buying books. I also refused to do the timed reading logs at home. That always seemed to make reading homework. My boys are all grown and all of them still love to read.
Great recap. I am so glad you do these. I really don't mind when your videos are longer, an hour would be fine with me. I have watched plenty of other channels and thought "get to the point" or "just show us" but I have never felt that way during any of yours and I started watching Garden Answer every day before you moved to this property. I love the teaser and can't wait to see what the upcoming projects will be. Looking forward the Dream Stream too. Have a blessed day everyone.
Laura, I totally disagree! You do NOT talk too much! I stopped watching a number of other videos because the person talked so slow and would not get to the point fast enough. Your pace (and content) is perfect. I appreciate you sharing your family with us as well. I am so looking forward to the “Dream Stream.” Question: You have hinted about a project in the south garden where the sumac was, when are you going to reveal? Also, kudos to Taylor’s editing. I am entertained by the occasional close up or word. Perfect!
I rarely comment, but I want to let you know that long videos are great from you guys and NEVER CHANGE A THING! I watch because I know what I'm getting and love your format.
My neighbor put in a row of north poles. For the first 5 or 6 years He clipped off about 8 in of the leader in order to force the trees to form a wall. Each year the trees established a new leader on their own. This year the trees are a solid wall with individual leaders and are a beautiful privacy wall for both of us.
Regarding splitting hosta, I have had great success with letting them die back in the fall, cut the foliage away and then see where the sections are. I then cut the plant like a pie and not all around the edges leaving the plant in the grown for the winter. I do that splitting in the fall not the spring because in the spring the little shoot may have started and you may damage them while splitting with a large shovel. In the spring I then can go in with just getting a piece of pie for the new plant. This way you can take you time to replant the pieces at your schedule. This process works so well because there is no wrestling a whole hosta while it rolls around your yard. Wish I thought of this idea 50 years ago so I wanted to share it to your young new gardeners. Love your channel, I watch you every morning while it eat breakfast. I live alone and it is like having the family in for a meal. Thank you for being you. 45:40
I had a garden where I had tours and magazines coming to take pictures and it s incredibly stressfull! I have now moved and only close friends & family gets to see my new garden. So I agree with Laura. Just say no… you do you! Lots of love from Sweden 🇸🇪
The first video I watched I said I can watch her she says it and move’s on not a lot of chatter and I’ve been watching since and I like your knowledge😂
I love the story of the doctor gardening with a headlamp. I'm a nurse and have definitely gardened into the dark after a shift, still in my scrubs. My garden is my stress relief!
Love you guys -- I can't stop laughing at your long-row banter! 🤣 Getting excited for the dream stream. For what it's worth, long videos for the win. I rarely watch a short video. I never think you talk too much, Laura, but with some other TH-camrs I have to fast forward until they get to the point, after they say "without further ado" and then give us 10 minutes of ado. 😅
Yes you can lay drip irrigation under landsscape fabric or better mulch fabric. The Veggie Boys have a machine that lays down both in one go. But instead of landscape fabric they use a biodegradable mulch foil made out of corn starch. They even have a clear fabric that they put over their first planting of corn so they can plant and harvest about 4 weeks earlier than their climate allows, and this fabric is over time dissolved by the sun.
I’m catching up on all GA videos! We got hit by the hurricane here in the mountains of East TN. Just got power, water and Wi-Fi back. This is a great distraction from all the bad stuff going on in the is area. ❤✨
Your channel and my paper crafting channels are the only channels that I like longer format videos. But I have been known to go back and re-watch your old content on a Saturday morning because now my brain is trained to wake up with Laura and coffee.
Speaking of tree projects, you two planted some trees on your neighbor's property up the lane--it has been a few years and I've often wondered how they are doing? Also, your videos often jumpstart my gardening battery. The growing season in So. Cal is non-stop and I'm only now realizing my gardening energy powers down periodically--suspect I'm creating my own seasonal lulls. Thanks for the spark! Lastly, my husband has started joining me to watch Garden Answer Highlights---the refreshing banter between you two makes for a fun Sunday morning routine for us. Thanks :-)
I like the chatting on the videos rather than just music. It’s like talking with a friend 😊 Bethany’s sweetcorn looked absolutely beautiful! I thought using the roses in your pot decoration was a great idea. Good work Benjamin you are doing a great job!!
I love the pacing of your videos. Not a lot of extra talking, just focussed information and your terrific way of explaining/ teaching . You are prepared, organized and just get to it! Love watching
So glad y'all are having great weather ... my favorite time of the year. Sadly, here down South a great many are suffering the after affects of Hurricane Helene - many have lost EVERYTHING and are cut off from the outside world because of flooding, blocked roads and roads washed out. Please, GA Nation, say a prayer for those folks and donate, if you can, to their recovery and restoration. And pray the next few storms (yes, more on the way) move farther west or east - not that I wish bad weather on anyone but these folks cannot take any more devastion. Love your videos - thanks for always sharing your knowledge, encouragement and inspiration - a great way to escape this world if only for an hour a day !!!
You’re kibitzing about the ranch panel just had me laughing. Laura, your facial expression , and Aaron just almost daring you to put the plants where they’ll roll down the hill.🤣😂🤣 Anyway, I love it and all your videos.
Children and technology can be so funny. I got my 4 year old grandson a ride on excavator for his birthday earlier this year. We were outside and he was just driving it all over, digging here, scooping there. His little imagination just going crazy lol. Then all of the sudden, he hollers "thanks for watching, please like and subscribe". 😂😂😂 He's been watching too many children TH-cam channels hahaha 😆 😂.
Such change thru the years, from standing still making a succulent garden pot to the interaction between you and Aaron and Benjamin and Samantha Grace 🥰 and the gardens of course , you make us feel like we’re visiting family , thank you ☺️
Laura, I'm like you. I didn't like wearing hats until I bought a Tilley hat! It has ventilation all around the top, plus there is a pocket in the top. You can add a cooling pack if you want to! There is also a built in sweatband,so sweat isn't dripping down your face. Plus, it has a lifetime guarantee! Our local hardware sales them in their garden center. Protect yourself from the sun now,or pay later. Skin cancer is not fun. I've watched my brother go through to many procedures!
Love your videos! Don’t change how much you talk! I learn from you and I’m 66! I also enjoy Benjamin and Samantha as well as Aaron and your mom, dad and Monica! You’re all great. Using the rose hip branches was my favorite this week!
Hi Laura and Aaron. I just love listening to your recap videos early Sunday mornings. I watch all week long and can’t wait for the weekly highlights. I have to say that I think you must have a ton of followers with the names Laura & Laurie. I feel like 90% of you wrap up videos include a question from a Laura or Laurie and it always makes me laugh out loud. You guys rock!
Just put a big order in! I’ve been a fan of yours for what feels like forever and all along was so hoping you would open a store. I’ve bought every single thing you’ve ever recommended from different places. Nice to restock using your site directly! In other words, thank you for being awesome🙌💪🤗
I am so with you about wearing hats. I know I should - zone 10A Central Florida, but I too get so hot. I load up the sunscreen and occasionally wear a dorky sweatband! As for the "tones" - can't find most of them in the big box stores, but garden centers have them!
I am just now watching this video on Thursday, lost power on Friday morning 9/27. Hurricane Helene has been rough, but there those that are so much worse than me. Thank God power restored in the middle of the night last night. Now I am going to have to play catch up on Garden Answer videos. Its going to be a Garden Answer marathon around here. I am in Virginia, but pray for the folks in NC and TN that are so affected by this terrible storm. Love you guys and the joy you bring to my life.
Aaron, you just laid down the gauntlet! I reckon Laura will rise to the challenge just when he’s probably forgotten. I’m already looking forward to the planting by the slope video 😂
I love shorts! They're so fun and can be kind of like a trailer for a movie. I have trouble focusing for a long time so I just usually watch the longer videos in sections anyway.
Laura I hate to admit this but I listen to your highlight channel every night to fall asleep. Not that I don’t enjoy your video but because your voice is so soothing and consistent in its sound. I think you should try a podcast your voice is perfect for it. Love both your channels.
I also listen to her videos to relax and fall asleep occasionally. I quite like her voice. Some days I'll even turn her channel on during the day as background noise because her voice is pleasant and I like her content immensely (and her knowledge helps me a lot!)
Hi Laura and Aaron. Love seeing all your videos and amazing projects that made me switch from finding gardening a chore, to it being something that I get excited about and look forward to! Every time I have a new idea for the garden my husband asks if it’s something I saw Garden Answer do 🤭 I would love to see a video on preserving different leaves/flowers! Maybe a project for the winter?
I rarely watch videos. I dont like rambling and not getting to the point. LOVE watching all of your videos! Its educational, fun and wholesome to watch. It brings me peace
I really enjoy the longer videos. You are my daily go-to every morning before I start my day. Always a bit disappointed when it’s a shorter video. Love you guys!
You have winds; plants have wings- they are gonna fly down that hill! A fence adds interest, a place to place the chocolate vine, and protection. Great idea!! Keep talking! When you talk, we learn. You have no idea how many times we pause your videos to research some plant you’ve talked about, then head back to the video. We even stretch out the watching so it lasts even longer. The more we learn, the more we recommend your videos to others. I practically insist people start watching!!! ❤😂❤
Laura, YOU NEVER TALK TOO MUCH! Please keep talking and making long videos. I look forward to your videos every day. My day doesn’t start until I watch your video! And sometimes I watch them more than once!
I love how you give a lead in on what the video is about and how your presentations are concise, don't include any "UMs" or "YOU KNOWs" and how you move right along in your videos. Another gardening channel in my home state, the lead person repeats herself so much I can only watch a video or two about a subject that I'm interested in. She lost me as a steady viewer. So keep it up! You are a wonderful teacher and present in a way most can understand with demonstrations and humor!! ;-)
I run many you tube videos on 1.25 or higher speed because they take to long to get to the point, never Garden Answer. Love your format. With that said, it was a short format video that brought Garden Answer to my attention 7 or 8 years ago. Let’s see I think it was, making a hanging strawberry planter out of rain gutters.
Love your videos. Have you thought about planting pumpkins on one of the newer properties? They'd provide great ground cover to keep weeds down while you decide what you want to plant in that area.
I’m with Aaron, you really do need a Dramm wand! Not only can you direct the water to exactly where you want it to go and adjust the flow with the thumb lever, it’s a back saver.
For the person looking for large bags of plant tone I ordered off Amazon. I also had to get my Chitalpa from a greenhouse near Lake Michigan. Wish I would have bought more than one
I like the longer videos!! Have been watching your channel since before Benjamin was born. Now that I'm retired, I hope to travel up to your area next year sometime. Love your family and enjoy hubby videos, too...
It's amazing how much the property has changed in 8 years - I also moved in 2016 (July)! It was actually already 8 full years this summer - next year will be 9 full years 😊 Time flies!
Yay! Looking forward to all the fun things you have coming up!! I'm soooo glad that I found your channel last year. I have been bitten by the gardening bug and I am having so much fun trying all kinds of new things! ❤
I remember all those container competitions you and Aaron used to have on the grassy areas around the property in the beginning. It was so fun but you guys have really exploded with beauty all around there now. Great job and Thank the Lord for sending you and your family to all of us.
I absolutely love the recaps , well all your videos.!!!’ So So excited to see what you all are up to with the upcoming videos! Plus the DREAM STREAM!!! Yay!
The huge amounts of views? It's because you are a wonderful (extended) family and because Laura is a witch who put spells on each and everyone of us! Her spontaneity, candid remarks and general honesty transpires. Even to us here in the end of the world/south of Brasil.
I couldn't agree more that too many youtubers create content where they talk too much. That's why I love your videos. They are fast, informative, and engaging. Your videos are far and above better than anything else out there!
I love listening to you talk. I’m an auditory learner and can hear your voice in my head when I’m shopping for plants or actually gardening. The visuals are fabulous but your conversations, even just to the camera, are beyond useful.
I love watching your world grow and get more and more beautiful. You have worked so hard and are reaping the rewards of that, deservingly so. I am one that feels strongly about giving back. Maybe scaling the size of the community projects is key.... Please don't get so caught up in your growth that you stop doing things (and filming for the benefit of others to see/learn) for your community. It is important.
I put on your video every morning while I am on the tredmil, but the recaps, I sit on the coach for so I don't miss yours and Aaron's banter. You two are a gift. Thank you for all that you do.
When I see a 28-30 min video come out in the morning, I’m like, YES! Bring it on! I like the long videos…
🤣 me too
I agree! The longer the better, I hate shorties I feel jipped. Laura is wonderful to watch and doesn’t have a single annoyance like some of the other videos out there. She is fun, knowledgeable, and her yard is beautiful-it really is a skill!
Yes!
I love the long videos too!
The longer the better 👏👏👏😊
You are the easiest most enjoyable channel to watch. Longer videos are appreciated too.
Feel the same way! I never think Laura is rambling - and, believe me I’ve seen some ramblers 🗣️😴
Take note of this video because when a plant rolls down the hill we’re going to need this footage. 😂
For sure! I was thinking the same thing. Bookmark this video.😆😆😂😂
lol. Yep to that statement.
That will definitely be must-see viewing!
Perhaps I lack proper experience, but I thought planting a hillside would stabilize it and help curtail erosion, making it desirable.
Hi Erin! Yes, I want to see Aaron chasing rolling plants. I think a camera should be set up lol.
Nah Aaron...I need the Garden Answer lengthy views...we love your chatty videos....I like the mix.
I have never watched any of your videos where I thought you talked to much. I always learn so much, so please don't change anything! And I always enjoy the kids, so let them talk all they want!
Can’t wait to see the dream stream installation!🤗
I’m installing a pond at the moment and am wanting to add a stream too so I am also super excited for the Dream Stream!
I love listening to you talk . Don’t change a thing. My favorite show on tv
I enjoy her videos, but sometimes she's long winded....- she tends to talk for a very long time before planting. Some people (like Laura mentioned in this video) want to just see planting content. Often I skip ahead of the talking to see where she's going to put things ...
I LOVE your longer videos! I watch your content in place of TV. So much better!😉
Don’t change a thing! Love your banter, eduction, and just fun!
Laura I’m a faithful follower from NC. Our NC mountains have had catastrophic devastation from the storm Helene. Please keep our state all in your prayers. Our beautiful blue ridge have been devastated.the whole western part.
Heartbreaking, so many people have lost lives, homes, have been praying.
Thank you for reminding all to lift everyone affected to continue to pray...
So sorry for your losses.
🙏🏼
💔🙏🙏🙏
So surprised it wasn't mentioned in the video. Tremendous damage and destruction and so many people who have lost everything. Redirecting my plant budget to my neighbors in western NC. Hope others will consider donations.

Agree, For our son it was the Jr Star Wars novels for kids. He ended up with over 100 of them
I can remember my dad saying that about comic books for my brothers…they all still read a lot…..I just loved reading book series!
Alex Ryder made our son a reader.
Your never to young to read Louie la mour

I’m sorry, but I can totally see Laura knocking plants down the hill! 👀🪴💨 That tickled me. 🤣🤣🤣
I love the long videos! And i love the long winded ones too! 🙂

FYI stinging nettle carry their own antidote. With gloves on break open the stem, apply the sap to the sting 😊
Wow, didn't know that. I covered area in Elmer's white glue, let dry and pull off. Really helps!
Recap of a fun and productive week for you, Aaron, Benjamin and Samantha. Give Benjamin a thumbs up for his narrative. 👍
I love the story of the doctor gardening with a headlamp. I'm a nurse and have definitely gardened into the dark after a shift, still in my scrubs. My garden is my stress relief!

Thursdays.

Corn pollinates better in a block than in one long row. Stands up better, too. They can lean on each other and hold each other up.
She knows that!!!
Oh no! You do not talk too much 😅. Watching your growth and comfortability in the videos has been fantastic!!

Yes, praying, some people don't know what is going on, so much flooding.😢
Godspeed y'all. Will pray and support relief efforts.
Which organizations are assisting? I saw the Red Cross was one.
I love a long recap. I watch while I prepare Sunday brunch. The video feeds me more. 😊

Your talking and Videos are JUST PERFECT. Don't change a THING!!!!!! 🥰🥰🥰
don't worry about allowing anyone on property, they can watch
show ....when you're dead the city can choose to make it a park ....
I just put in a big order so please ask Bethany to sprinkle some of those magic seeds in my box!
Benjamin is such a special kid! I feel like I've watched both of your kids grow up before my eyes. Love them both!!!!
Hi there
I watch a lot of gardening TH-cam videos. Laura has never been long winded.
Children and technology can be so funny. I got my 4 year old grandson a ride on excavator for his birthday earlier this year. We were outside and he was just driving it all over, digging here, scooping there. His little imagination just going crazy lol. Minnesota has Biotone everywhere, even in western Wisconsin. Being a warm fall here. I am hoping winter stays warmer than normal also.

Lora, you dont talk too much on the vodeos. That's your job. Thanks for all you and your team do

We love it when you talk, Laura. You can do no wrong ;)

Looking forward to a new antique shopping trip with your Mom and Monica, hopefully soon.
You are a wonderful teacher and present in a way most can understand with demonstrations and humor!! ;-)
This is so refreshing to watch. Im in lower southeast ga & we haven't had power since Thursday night. No generator. But thankful for a grill to cook.
Gosh I’m sitting here talking to my husband about you and Aaron like I know you two‼️
Laura, many people ask about your family members, and I love hearing about them, too. However, I would love to hear about Aaron's family. How bout it?
I assume they must not like to be on video. Lol
@@jltest5230 they don't have to be fr us to hear about them.
I so love that Benjamin was excited about the comments❤❤
Great recap. Recounting Benjamin's experience with his TH-cam "fans" was delightful.
Sunscreen is very bad for us..
Love Aaron's "insert here sales pitch " perfect timing & I laughed out loud & a high five!!!
I bought 3 chitalpas from Jenny at Creekside Gardening
I run many you tube videos on 1.25 or higher speed because they take to long to get to the point, never Garden Answer. Love your format. With that said, it was a short format video that brought Garden Answer to my attention 7 or 8 years ago. Let’s see I think it was, making a hanging strawberry planter out of rain gutters.
I absolutely adore the banter between you two!
Hi@colsen
The best Sunday recap. Thank you for all the garden knowledge.
SUGGESTED VIDEO:: clean out of that RAMBLING ROSE area but just of getting rid of the WEED junk and leaving the perennial wild stuff!!
Love long videos ….. from you guys at least I do 😂
For the person looking for large bags of plant tone I ordered off Amazon. I also had to get my Chitalpa from a greenhouse near Lake Michigan. Wish I would have bought more than one
Ordered 2 bags of land and sea from amazon- great!
We LOOOOVE the long ones! Which is funny because normally i’m someone that wants people to talk faster and then shut up. 😅
Love to hear you talk. It is so interesting to hear how areas have so different regional vegetation.
Yay! Looking forward to all the fun things you have coming up!! I'm soooo glad that I found your channel last year. I have been bitten by the gardening bug and I am having so much fun trying all kinds of new things! ❤
I love listening to you talk! Keep on chatting!!
I remember all those container competitions you and Aaron used to have on the grassy areas around the property in the beginning. It was so fun but you guys have really exploded with beauty all around there now. Great job and Thank the Lord for sending you and your family to all of us.
Love all your videos!
Hi there
I absolutely love the recaps , well all your videos.!!!’
So So excited to see what you all are up to with the upcoming videos!
Love it Aaron- 25:50 “That’s why you need…”! You folks are why I have a Hoselink- love mine!, and why I will purchase another for our back gardens! ❤
Great re cap video. I do enjoy you & Aaron chatting away about you previous and future plans.
Thank you!
❤❤❤❤
I do, too! It feels like we are “there” for a planning meeting!
