Sorry for double comment but wanted to say monster hunter has the least toxic multiplayer in the world. Everyone wants to help everyone. Thats the main reason I've played thousands of hours in this games multiplayer
Gatekeeping can be a good thing but you have to understand it. Anyone who genuinely wants to enjoy the hobby is welcome, you don't just chase off anyone who wasn't there before you. What you do is refuse to accommodate people who don't actually like or understand it and are just here to steal an established place to use for making a new place for their own subculture and then in turn gatekeep anyone who liked it how it was before.
U explained it perfect here imo. Can’t stand when people come in something they don’t like and try to change it for themselves when there was already an established fan base of said thing
For me Monster Hunter World/Iceborne is _literally_ the best game ever made❤️🔥 And it's definitely not nostalgia talking since I started with World/Iceborne in 2018. I can go on and on about multiple aspects of the game that are executed so well they are either one of or _the_ best in gaming of that aspect But also the community is so wholesome and welcoming it's just a pleasure being a part of it
I feel that comment about not being able to clear up the backlog. I’ve been playing MHGU for a year straight with almost no breaks and I’m finally reaching the end with the final deviant fight where I can be done and free to play other games again. These games are just too damn addicting.
Mhw takes pretty much everything that made old mh titles amazing, then makes them better in every way. Its a masterpiece. Also the music... (chefs kiss) If you're to play mh3u I recommend doing that soon because they are shutting down the mp server on April 8th :(

It has so much content it’s crazy. All these armor pieces and even the steam works which resembles a gacha but it’s all FREE and all well designed. I am part of the club for sure now haha
a bit context for MH franchise: ever since the 3rd gen back in MH3U, capcom always drip fed content post launch for a whole frickin year for FREE. in MHW they cranked up the free update content with crazy siege quests like kulve taroth and insane collab content with FFXIV to hunt Behemoth. fans didn't have to wait long until we got the expansion on Iceborne and they redo the whole 1 year drip fed content ALL FOR FREE. we got insane siege quests of Safi Jiiva and peaked with Fatalis. what we have right now is the fully updated content for a whole frickin year from MHW and if you buy Iceborne, you'll get another year's worth of content. and you don't pay full price since it's a 6 year old game. even at full price the game was insanely worth it, you get hundreds of hours of content. yeah you can bet your ass they'll do this with Wilds in 2025. MH is truly an underrated franchise.
Dude same. I've been playing the Final Fantasy series, I'm currently on Lightning Returns, but I've been pausing my playthrough of that to continue playing MHW and Rise
World and Rise I would choose any day over that lol. LR has a great combat system tbh, and while I don’t care too much for the story it was cool enough. It was the leveling system that made me eventually rage quit on stream lol. I do not want to do boring side quests to level up. Let me play around with the combat

I finally got around to playing through both the entire Yakuza series, the entire Devil May Cry series, and Monster Hunter Rise and World in the last 6 months and all 3 were so shockingly good. I play a lot of games and most new releases so it’s rare I find one series that is this good that falls under my radar for so long, nevermind 3. But these have been on my backlog forever and it just shows there are always gems out there left to discover. Next up is the Persona series after I finish Infinite Wealth. Figure it’s a good time to finally check that series out with the upcoming release of Persona 3 Reload.
It's nothing like world, but if you enjoy "HIGH SKILL CEILINGS" please play monster hunter frontier, its the most difficult entry of any monster hunter game and near the endgame the fights are ridiculously hard, punishing you severely for the slightest mistake. Whereas the very very start is like super easy.

2:09 competetive?? Wanna try to beat Dodonpachi Resurrection high score? Hehehe. Anyways, Monster Hunter speedrunners are pretty competetive when it comes to speed killing some hunts. Trying to apply some of their methods can be fun of their own sometimes. What I find weird when trying is that I still end up forming my own take on the hunt. This methodical slow paced action game is unbelievably open for player expression(I often see this term used in fighting game and Devil May Cry). Still, figuring out how you can beat a hunt in this game is priceless for me. I also like that monsters in Monster Hunter got some personality despite some having the same skeleton models. Ok watching a few minutes of this video makes me wanna fight one of my hated monster, Azure Rathalos.
The personality of the monsters really gives the immersion I love. I adore when they get in fights 🤣 GO KILL THAT RATHALOS FOR ME. Thanks for watching :)

Yeah, it became a top 3 game for me pretty quick, I’d say the top 2 are Terraria & Elden Ring, it’s THAT good (including Iceborne of course). I’m replaying it now, reinvigorated my love for gaming AGAIN.
Monster Hunter is an awesome series. World was also my first foray into the series and it makes a strong argument as my favorite game ever (at least top 2). MH Rise is also a great game imo and definitely something I think would be worth playing for you. However I think it would probably help to know the context going in. Monster Hunter series basically have two dev teams, one called the main series team and the other called the portable team (even though it gets weird because the main series released on 3DS for a while which is a portable system, but point is, they alternate game releases). World was a main game dev joint and Rise is a portable. Portable series games tend to be less focused on the ecology and world/environment, so hearing that you greatly enjoyed that in World, that area might be lacking for you in Rise. What Rise is, is a faster, more arcadey, more combat focused game. IMO, it’s also fun, but it’s just different. I think you can enjoy it when you realize that the different flavor for the game isn’t a sign of permanent changes to the series. The more ecological, grounded approach to MH will return with Wilds, and then the crazy kitchen sink approach of Rise will return in the game after Wilds, etc. Just enjoy each MH release for what they are.

when you first start out the food buff is only +10 health and stamina so it doesnt seem that good but its good go get in the habit of eating i also did the same and felt really stupid when i started getting the big health bonuses

MH games had working multiplayer running very well on toasters (PSP, 3DS, etc.) So no surprise it works well on PC

Why are you going to missions without the Food buff? You're losing so much on hp and stamina...
