In this video we hop onto a train and travel in first class through the Hai Van Pass. This is a pass that has been made famous by the Award winning BBC show called Top Gear and ever since we thought of coming to vietnam, doing this pass was just an absolute must for us.
This pass is mainly done by motorbike but unfortunately, due to so much rain in the area, we were unable to do the pass and had to take a train to our next destination. Luckily for us though, we were able to get a first class train ticket through the Hai Van Pass which was just as amazing. We were also curious as to what a first class train journey is like in vietnam if the service on the train would be any better than other first class trains that we have been on.

Tip for crossing street in Vietnam:
Many tourist foreigners scared of traffic in VN . Don’t worry about it! The rule to win this fear is keep routin slowly walking when you across the streams of motobike! -motobykers knows how to avoid you themself in chaos-order! remmember do not run and stop suddently , accident immidiatly ! Don’t be affraid off and do it if you want to be safety in the crazy- rule traffic in Vietnam.
You have to do the Ha Giang loop in Northern Vietnam, it's the best experience ever!

I watched your whole video, it's really amazing even though i'm Vietnamese lol. But about the staffs on this train, i'd like to say that all of them didn't want to ignore you guys, it was just they couldn't speak English as well as maybe they were shy in front of the camera. It was nice to view train in Viet-nam (my home land) comparing to Amtrak Train in the U.S.A. in which I took in Aug 2021, Roomette (St. Louis, MO - Longview, TX and by bus to Houston, TX) and Amtrak train - LAX - HOU, Los Angeles, CA - Houston, TX; 1547 miles = 2489.65 km = 40.5 hours. 18-20 May 2022

I’m going to a wedding in Phuket next January. The plan is to go to the wedding and then explore Vietnam (we’ve seen Thailand) with my wife and kids. Any suggestions for an itinerary would be most appreciated.

We would have loved to but is cost a lot to do those caves and they only allow 1500 people in there per year. But hopefully one day we will be able to do it :)

4 beds room is just 2nd class (SE6 of your). 1st class room only have 2 beds (SE1 and 2), with double price of 2nd class.
Our tickets were first class tickets on the SE6. Not sure if there was a mistake on thee booking system.
@@thebuddymoon Maybe I'm mistaken the name. SE1 and SE2 are VIP tickets, not 1st class tickets. Food and drink is also include in VIP ticket.

Without some basic Vietnamese to ask about food and prices, it's tough to travel. You guys have been in Vietnam so long, it's weird that you didn't invest the time to learn some. Those food carts were basic food for Vietnamese so they didn't want to bother gringos. Kudos to you for trying them all. Learn a new language. You only speak English.
We speak other languages but people viewing will not understand them😜 its hard to learn a language while traveling😜 but we hope to able to one day😁
