Hi this was really useful, I just wish there was a translation after every sentence or every couple of sentences because I forgot what they had said by the time the translation came. GREAT VIDEO THO TYSMM
Brazilian portugues is very good in listening for me. That is phonetichal language. For l know english and italians, learning portugues easy for me. 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Great basic conversations. I learned few English wording I rarely use in my conversations then Portuguese. My first language is Spanish Second English Third would be Portuguese.
@@gilsantos2995 hahahaha, my language is easy for me to speak because I am a native, but the Portuguese classes are very difficult, there are many verbs. English is also not an easy language

I don['t think it is very difficult. The grammar is similar to Spanish. The pronouncation is a little difficult because of the nasal sounds. But onverall it is not difficult. But it is a beautiful language.

thank you so much for this video. how do i use these dialogues to improve? do i first listen and then test myself, by hearing the english and saying out loud, the portuguese?
looks like you are doing this like in your books. But I think that it would be better if you had the English under the Portuguese words at the same time. The way you are doing it you have to go back write down the whole conversation and compare it to the actual Portuguese one. That could be very frustrating and cause someone not to want to learn the language.
I can’t understand what they are saying. I have to understand and then translate everything into English which is a very slow process. I have the book but I can’t understand it yet and I have to translate everything word for word into English. I’ve been learning Portuguese for 6 years now and I’ve visited Brasil 17 times and I’m returning in 17 days. I need to find a way to learn instead of translating everything. Any ideas? Thanks
Everyone else I know learns portuguese quickly. I have been studying for over 6 years now and I still can’t understand what people are saying. I practice every day with my girlfriend who only speaks Portuguese and we’ve been practicing for over 3.5 years now but I can’t understand her either. I must be doing something wrong. Thanks
I practice every day with my girlfriend who only speaks Portuguese and have for 3.5 years now but I still can’t understand what she’s saying and have to translate it into English. I watch movies and TH-cam videos but I still can’t understand those. Since I can’t make out what people are saying how do I find input? I’ve been studying for almost 7 years now and I still can’t converse. I have to translate everything into English when I read because the words don’t mean anything to me like English words do. I study every day and have classes 2-3 times a week. Do you have any ideas? Thanks for the help!
@@patfromamboy I use audio books in the target language and follow along. I have graded readers and many short stories with script. After months of listening to the stories I can understand easily now. It took a lot of listening to stories and dialogs. I have several language courses in the target language also, and I listen to them daily. Now I can understand spoken Spanish easily. Reading the stories with the English transcripts made a big difference for me. The graded readers had a lot of dialog that I listened to again and again. I plan to start Portuguese in about three months. Now I am collecting resoursces such as stories and dialogues.
