    I don't know if you've ever seen it Chelsea but I've seen a few Japanese drift cars that run small sprayers in the rear wheel wells instead of worrying about water pits. They are stupid easy and cheap to fab up, you could even use the factory windshield wiper fluid tank and pump and just run new line from it to the wheel wells.

    Hey man, I have a 330 e46. Was wondering if you could give me some insight on tire size. Great videos!

  • @utubit22
    @utubit22 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Can you elaborate a little more on tire pressure?
    do you run around 60psi in any set of tires or how much of an increase is that from what's factory recommended on the ones in this video?
    Also, do you want more grip/softer tires or less grip/harder tires when drifting?
    finally, do you have a recommended all around tire + tire pressure combo for canyon driving?
    Thanks man. Driving is so fun!

    Congrats on the Long Beach win! Wish I was there. I just had two questions.
    1. Where would we find a place to do this? I Live in SoCal and I found one track but I doubt they will let us practice donuts and figure 8s on their drift days.
    2. How did you find that car for $900? Was something wrong with it? I have been trying to find an e36 to start drifting for about 6 months now, and the are all either way too expensive or have way too many problems. I was looking at cars up tp about $1800 and haven't found anything yet. An e46 is even more expensive XD
    Good luck in Formula D this year!

    • @chelseadenofa
      @chelseadenofa  8 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      1, I would politely ask the event organizer to watch this video and say you want to practice this. If they say NO tell them to contact me so I can explain they are stupid for wanting to take your money and not have you become a better driver for their spectators to watch.
      2. They vary in price depending on location, e36's by me are actually more money. I prefer the e36 since its lighter and has a bit more top end power.

    • @sultanofswingdrift3021
      @sultanofswingdrift3021 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mickael Azenha just keep it safe... your car can drift all day long from factory.
      except maybe hydro handbrake, and change your diff oil if it you have old oil, so you don't wear your lsd unecesarily

    • @mikgtc
      @mikgtc 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was thinking about putting a hsd suspension in it for a better look too..And I know the suspension is one of the most important things for drifting

    any tips on how to drift a bone stock e36? What I mean is how does the car handle beyond the limit and how do you drive it?
    example: in an ae86 or miata you have to use a lot of weight transfer and wot all the time. on the e36 how is it?

    • @chelseadenofa
      @chelseadenofa  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Stock e36 is great! Just make sure it has a locking diff and a good handbrake.

      You need to have the weight transfer before you are pulling the hand brake or clutch kicking. If on a left drift, you'll want to pull the handbrake as soon as you feel pressure on your right hip in the car. Opposite for the right drift.

      Popcorn Senpai I have a miata and i can drift great if its a little damp. A bit underpowered for dry but i do still have an open diff. It rotates freely and is really smooth. Pretty cheap to get but if you dont get the hard top you'll need a roll bar to get on a track. This bmw would be great too i have driven one very similar and it was a really good beginners drift car. My mk3 supra does ok it's a bit twitchy because it needs more power, they're heavy.

    • @strepidemic
      @strepidemic 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Taran Offord it's funny how you just commented this because there's a miata drifting outside right now haha. but thanks for the ideas, I'll take them into consideration.
