If a person is looking for a great small town, I HIGHLY recommend Simpsonville. We are the Saddlebred Horse Capital of the world, abt half an hour from Louisville, surrounded by rolling hills and horse farms, and we have a great Outlet Mall. There is a community pavilion in the center of town where there is a seasonal Farmer's Market every Saturday morning and Fireworks twice a year.
So true! Simpsonville is wonderful! Small town feel yet still close enough to all the city amenities!
Lexington is a beautiful city. I’ve worked there for years, but I don’t live there. The rent is expensive. The eastern part of Louisville is nice, but downtown is dirty.
Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!
Iam in the process of moving from Central .
Florida to North Kentucky. Retiring to an area nect to Covington, Fort Wright. Please , tell me more about this area?? i also plan to cycle the Bourbon Trail. Thank you
Ft. Wright is a very convenient area. You will be close to downtown Cincinnati as well as Florence. Very pretty area with hills and lots of green space.
Awesome! I'm happy to answer questions related to Northern Kentucky. Email or text and I'll be in touch!
@katieskeen thank you for your kindness and positive note to moving to N. KENTUCKY. I fell in love the friendly - happy people I met...I'll keep in contact..
why the hell would you move -
@@davidrice3337because Florida sux ass .... Way higher crime rate, higher cost of living, only 2 seasons at best, rude ppl, need I go on??
I think you mean Lost River Cave.
What did I say?! Thanks for watching and for the feedback! :)
Do you tend to encounter scorpions or snakes in Kentucky?
Never seen a scorpion here, but plenty of snakes in rural areas. Mostly King, Rat, Racer, small green snakes. Most just say "black snake" when referring to one of the Kings, or rat snakes. Also Copperheads and Timber Rattlers. Timbers are usually in the woods around rocks or small caves ( of which KY has plenty). Numerous others but I mentioned the most common. If you are in the south central or south western part of the state you may see Cottonmouths as well.
There are some scorpions here, although not too common. Plenty of snakes in Kentucky! Check out more info about scorpions from UK entomology.ca.uky.edu/ef633#:~:text=The%20southern%20devil%20scorpion%2C%20Vejovis,Scorpions%20are%20very%20distinctive%20arthropods.
I am from TX and visit there quite often . The Lexington area IMO is by far nicer than Louisville. Louisville just a big town nothing special
Thanks for watching and sharing your opinion! What do you enjoy about Lexington?
The main thing I didnt like about Kentucky is that the people there have more tattoos than teeth.
I don’t know what part of Kentucky you were in?
Oh my! That hasn't been my experience!
Hey! Not nice.
because of forced busing and the merged g'ments there isn't a such thing as good place to live in Louisville -
just sayin
