Madison County schools are good too. They don’t have the discipline issues that Lexington schools have. Great music program if you have musically inclined children.
I really do enjoy the schools here. Great people who care about students!
Our school will be in Ashland at a ministry center Sat We have our evenings free what to do in Ashland.
Lived in Richmond for years. It's a laid back town and affordable and surrounding beautiful countryside just couldn't find a decent job there. I now live outside Louisville (love it here) where good paying jobs are plentiful and visit Richmond often.

I live 5 miles from Richmond, 5 from Berea and love it. I’m retired and my wife works on the Army depot making good money. Bought a fixer upper home for $125k. Paid cash so no mortgage and the house is coming along nicely. One thing that makes me mad is finding ppl to do work on it. If you can find someone it can be half ass and shoddy work.
Looking to move to Kentucky from Arizona. Looking at Hopkinsville or Radcliff. Any insight on the two before we road trip in March?

I lived in Hopkinsville for 14 years, it's grown a lot since I left I guess it would come down to what you want to do.
How was your trip? Looking into a winter place there (I'd have caretakers the rest of the year. ).

I like Morehead! I would say the things that stick out to me are the quality of the University, the natural beauty and outdoor recreation, and the affordability. I was born and raised in Danville ♥️♥️ Boyle County has a strong love for their high school football teams as Boyle County vs The Danville ads football..Danville/Boyle county is absolutely an amazing place to live

My husband wants to relocate to KY but we have a few things to consider. (He's a mailman so he can only transfer to the places needing them. ) I work from home so that doesn't matter. Our concerns and many we know considering relocation have the following concerns: gun laws - google only tells you so much. Townsfolk- prefer small town but accepting and welcoming. Not the clique small towns. HOMESTEAD - Colorado has too Manu restrictions for homesteaders. And MMJ laws - I'm allergic to all pharmaceutical drugs. I have my medical card here for it but Kentucky hasn't specified the rules yet and if those transfers from other states will be considered and if we can grow our own at home as we can in the other mmj states..... Colorado has been overrun and gone down hill fast. Breaks our hearts but it's been time to get the heck outta here

I’m a mail lady! I was looking somewhere with better COL. It does suck that we can only go where needed. But I’m willing to travel 25 min out. Only thing is we can’t see where we’re needed so we just put in our request and just wait pretty much.
I relocated to KY four yrs ago from CA. RE some of your concerns...I don't know what Google says about it, but KY is a big gun state. I believe that it's an "open-carry" is legal, but I believe it has made it safer. KY is very historical. It's the 15th state since the founding of the country. I see many ads for "rural" mail carriers. Do you want accepting and welcoming? Strangers wave at each other. Every time I go for a walk in my neighborhood, I meet somebody new and end up talking for an hour. There is a tom more pros than cons. I hope this helps.
Clique small towns...that perfectly describes a lot of small towns here in Colorado.
It's a beautiful state but it's basically only a state for yuppy rich people nowadays because of how expensive and crowded it's become.

Well of course you would pick all the cites close to you,,,, Bowling Green Kentucky has all of them beat hands down. Bowling Green should have been #1 on the list.
Bowling Green is awesome! My wife and I love stopping there when we travel West. I think that I naturally lean towards the cities I mentioned due to the fact that they are close to me and I spend the most time in them! Thanks for watching.

There must be more to Kentucky then just Lexington and surrounding cities. How are more east and west.
I don't like to comment in depth on areas outside of where I primarily work just because I am not as educated the further I get. I can go 3 plus hours east and west and still be in Kentucky. I do have some thoughts I would be happy to share if you email me! Thanks.
Im from Louisville & i love my city but its not the safest place to raise a family. Newport, Covington, Lexington are my top 3 in that order. Louisville is good to visit. Its cheap but expensive by Kentucky standards, its the largest & most prominent city in Kentucky.

When you describe a city or town in a state, ALWAYS BEGIN WITH A MAP SHOWING ITS LOCATION! DUH!!

I guess is you like the liberal towns of central Kentucky then OK ... but you are missing a lot of smaller towns that are great places to live. All the town you listed are all within a few miles of each other ... what about Bowling Green? Murray? Paducah? Henderson? you know there is a western Kentucky too.

If your going to mention Richmond so much you should mention its sister Winchester ky same judges closer to Lexington, and far more affordable housing in Winchester not to mention half the traffic. You must have some real estate for sale in Danville its a small town that likes to act like a big town and theres more cops than criminals . There are way better places to live than what he picked, he should have said the 5 places i sale houses in or my favorite picks. Powell county jas the gorge and Whitley county has Cumberland falls and these are just a couple of attractions someone may be drawn towards in ky

Cost of living in Kentucky
Two bed apartments go from 800-1100 houses with three bedrooms are roughly 1200-2000
Job why family move to lou,,,,hour two hours form lou. Love to make live in west south ky ,,live 28 miles out lou.
Obviously you've never spent much time in western Kentucky. What about Bowling Green , Owensboro, etc.... You're all about central KY. I can't agree with your list.

When we would travel 2 hours EAST from Murray to watch our university compete against the Pillpoppers of WESTERN Kentucky University I always laughed MAO at the utter absurdity of it lol. Bowling Green is in central Kentucky.
Lexington is expensive, more expensive than Louisville, but a lot cleaner than Louisville.

London is a great town. I really like Elizabethtown, Fort Thomas, Bowling Green, and Corbin too.
