  • We cycle across the big city of Toronto and all the neighbouring cities to go from Oakville to Kingston. We follow the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail. We fight the wind all the way, get rained on, and need a bike fixed. We visit friends and family along the way.

Bottom bracket sorted AND neither of you are glowing from the nuke plant drive-bys. Happy trails!

you should have used the Millennium Trail while in Prince Edward County, far safer and faster than going on Hwy 33, kiosk stops along the way, toilets and even repair stands if needed

Hmm. We'll have to check that out. Maybe we are used to traffic but 33 did not feel unsafe at all. That sounds like a great trip for another time.

What a strange and cool coincidence! Your video came up as a suggested one when we pulled up TH-cam and then realized that we saw you two go by us - we were sitting in the lineup to get on the ferry on that rainy day! (on our way home from Wolfe Island / Picton area :) I even remarked that I thought you 2 looked like a touring couple that knew what they were doing lol! Good video!

That is amazing! That was a wet day!! Based on the number of views, it is highly unlikely that anyone would recognize us from the videos so that is a really fun coincidence (helped by TH-cam algorithm, of course. :)

@@Shannon_Marco_Travel yes just a couple of minutes into your video and I said to my wife, "these 2 look very familiar for some reason"! Then we checked the video dates and realized why - it was the jackets as well. Looks like you're having a great time out there... good for you two. (I did a solo circle tour of Lake Erie in September and loved it so much!)

Well done for calling those bad bike shops out. I have toured a lot over here and in Europe and with one exception (Penticton BC) whenever I have had an emergency, shops have dropped everything to get me back on the road asap. Even the customers in the shops have agreed to let me jump the queue. Shame on those shops in Kingston that let you down.

I'm glad you've had good service. We had great service in Moose Jaw at Boh's Cycle, as well. As Shannon observed, it's the difference between a bike shop and a store that sells bikes.

I live just off the trail in Stormont, you two look familiar, we may have passed each other near the bird sanctuary. when I see a Trek sign, I turn around and go elsewhere.

Frontenac tends to be cheaper too. Not surprised at J&J, hear a lot of complaints

Nice adventure guys! Happy that Frontenac Cycle could assist. Just curious are you mounting your GoPro on your chest or helmet of bars? Thanks

I use a Hero9 mounted on a Telesin ball-joint which is clamped to my handlebars.

Love the videos and updates along the way. So sorry to hear about the experience with J & J Cycles, but they have to be one of the worst bike shops I've ever dealt with! Keep up the great content! GLAD you found Frontenac! Best shop around!

We loved the waterfront trail from Burlington to Oshawa. So easy to cross a huge urban area.

Hi folks, we've been following you and love your videos ... well done. Having done some cycling, we recognize your challenges and your ability to cope, consistently putting safety first. We would like to know a little more about your gear, make of bikes, pedals and footwear, saddle bags, clothing, camera etc. Maybe you could slip tidbits on each in as you go.
