Nice video. We were going to take the Manitoulin Island, but it was a little longer and we ran out of time. It is cool to see this part through your lenses! Thanks!
I don't know if there is any connection, but Elgin on the Moray Firth, Northeast Scotland is my home town. I have been following you since your starting out and much enjoying the videos - as well as admiring your stamina! I am sure you will enjoy your family time. All the best to you and yours.
Have to say this video was extra special since this has been my home area for the last twenty years. But now that you're going into southern Ontario you may be going by my previous home in Lindsay/Peterborough, or even Ottawa (my university home). I think you said you were from Lanark. I have yet to watch the earlier videos. Much happiness for you guys along the way.
We are following the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail through the GTA and Lake Ontario and the Seaway so we won't be in the Peterborough area or Ottawa. We know those spots we'll, though, since we live in Perth.
Also, we noticed that camp fees were extremely high in Ontario both Provincial and Private. Do you know why the fees are so high in Ontario compared to say Sk and Mb? We may not return to On for this reason.
No idea why they are so high. The place charged us over $50 for a patch of dirt and then we had to pay for the showers! We only found out when we were naked in the shower and the water wouldn't warm up. LOL
@@Shannon_Marco_Travel lol, that happened to us in Alberta. We saw the shower but had no loonies or toonies and it was late with no one to make change. Nonetheless, the fees for camping are way too high and for anyone traveling by bike they should really offer a reduced rate. Looking forward to the rest of the trip! Cheers
Wow you two! What an adventure of a lifetime!
Wonderful!!!!wish I was joining you!!!! Tracey S
Hey Tracey! So happy to hear from you! We hope to see you in September...maybe?

I was keeping an eye out for you guys in case I managed spot you going by I live in Cutler with the moose and teepees on the yard, safe travels
We were probably just a blur of spinning legs as we zoomed by! LOL
What?!? No in-depth interview with Shannon's parents?... "What was it like to raise such a motivated human?"❤
LOL! Sorry Rebecca! No hard-hitting journalism, just cycling voyeurism.

Thanks Norman! So many of our towns are named after Scottish towns (we live in Perth, along the Tay River LOL), so there probably is a connection.

Hi Nana and Papa and Goble's Grove!
Nana & Papa say hi back! And Goble's is great...the water is so warm! And the beach is in great shape!
Not that you needed to, but it l like both of you lost some weight!
Not sure about that...but we're eating as many apple fritters as we can. LOL

Are you aware of The Great Northern Bikepacking Route developed by Matthew Kadey?
@@DanielRahrer yes, we have been following Mat & Ali (@triplonger) and met Brian Charrette in Warroad, MN. Way too tough for us!
