With 2 year+ release cycle, they probably don’t want to release an iPad Pro processor on a node where Apple M3 is the only customer. I’m sure the air will use the M2.

True. It’s just apple is falling behind on the ai trend. By releasing the m4 chip, they can elaborate on this chip on the upcoming wwdc… the m4 max and ultras may come out later this year👍
