So Apple has officially announced the 2024 iPad Air and this is a pretty typical spec refresh for the most part, and I know we need to wait for reviews before we judge this completely but I wanna say something upfront - I don’t think this is worth buying so let’s talk about why.

What are your thoughts on the iPad Air 6?
Garbage. Wish the 13” would’ve had mini led. Better off getting an M1 or M2 iPad Pro
im still gonna get, even though the smarter choice would be the m2 ipad pro. i dont want apple to start slowing it down on purpose after a few years (which shouldnt even be happening in the first place).
The previous version of the iPad Pro 12.9” renewed is over a grand so, I think I’ll go for the air.
What do you suggest I buy if I don’t have an iPad, but one want? I won’t be using it for heavy work however, since I have a MacBook Pro
Is there any change in the refresh rate of the new ipad air.or it is still that same 60 hertz ?

Doubling the base storage could entice new customers to the Air line. However, for anyone who already has an Air (above 3 probably) there's no reason to upgrade to the Air 6. And at the new Pro's price point I'd consider getting the M2 Pro instead.
After watching the event and already having a pencil 2 I’m grabbing a 12.9 inch M2 iPad Pro for the same price as the base new pro and not needing a new pencil.
Mainly a note taker, I have a mini 6 rn, and it’s good, but need something bigger. Gonna go for the 13”, but idk if I should get the pro or the air. The screen is just so much better on the pro, and I’m a display geek.
apple refurbished store doesn't exist in my country, so which one would you recommend?
ipad 10 256 (now that price dropped) vs ipad air6 11" 128 (i absolutely don't need the 13" since i have a 15" MBA) or wait for ipad mini7 (it'll also come with base 128gb i hope)
For basic iPad stuff, iPad10 will be fine. Finally, the price tag makes sense 😅.
However, if you plan on using Apple Pencil a lot, then you should go for the newest iPad Air… that’s because it supports the NEWEST Apple Pencil.
You have a Macbook, so I’m quite sure that you won’t be buying the Magic Keyboard 🤔
If for gaming. Buy ipad Air now because there will be at least 2 new genshin competitors coming out this month. Otherwise, you can wait for mini later or eaelier next year if you can wait. Don’t buy the 10. It will struggle in performance for these new games. If you’re neither gaming nor drawing, buy the 10 now
Can you run office365 on Ipad air? What do you mean by limited software?
I don't see the 12.9 inch ipad pro 6th gen refurb being less but maybe that's just me. But yeah probably won't be worth it to get the air just for the m2 chip over the 5th gen pro with superior display
Great video, both role 13” Pro on refurb is a compelling option, the problem is stock. The larger MacBook Air is great, I think this will be fine for most people.
Oh I'm still waiting for the iPad mini 7 as long as there's no price increase
It seems like there's no love for the mini series from Apple! I guess we are such a small group of consumers who love smaller sizes?

As an air 5 owner that wants a size upgrade, I kinda feel like I’m in no man’s land because 800$ is too expensive for the 2” upgrade imo.

I bought the 11” Pro a few months ago. I don’t feel that was a bad decision now as it is $200 cheaper than the new Pro, but for $200 more than the new Air, I also get Promotion and face ID.

What’s the market for all these iPads? Perhaps:
- iPad: students and casual use
- iPad Air: professional or business work not graphics related
- iPad Pro: creatives, video editing
Methinks both MacBook Pro and iPad Pro should be merged into one expensive device if they serve the same purpose
Minimal upgrades are not great for the regular upgraders. They are perfect for those who devices need replacing. They get the best possible improvements with the latest other features. These can be simple virtual launches. They don’t need a big fancy Apple event to be announced.
I agree but even for those on older iPads, an M1 model will still be great and will last for years. That's why it's hard to recommend this
@@SaranByte I don’t disagree. Getting a good deal on an older refurbished model is always a plus. Even waiting a few months for these to be available through third parties is always a better deal. I got my iPad Pro a few months after the launch and through Amazon with 5 payments. It spreads the cost out and all interest free.
i will be buying this tablet as an artist, i do not own an ipad and heck i was even waiting for a bigger size ipads since i draw all the time and 60 hz refresh rate is really not that bad of a deal considering u can even use the new apple pencil pro with it.
Yeah I guess if you really want Apple Pencil Pro and don't want to pay for the iPad Pro, the larger Air isn't a bad deal. Don't get me wrong it's a good iPad! I just wish it was cheaper, and hopefully it does get discounted soon
Absolutely wrong. First thing wait for the devices to come out with the actual specs. No way they would have the same battery in both. That does not make any sense

For me here in the US the Air 6 is $50 more than an Air 5 for 256GB so I'd choose the 6 solely for the better software support and M2. However, any higher price difference and it'd be the 5 for me...

Now it’s 128GB 😂 took them long enough for the new iPad Air still not ready to upgrade and it’s $100 more when I brought my iPad Air 4 and stills works fine and it’s was cheaper from the Apple Store at 2020
And for my big tablet I'm waiting for the Galaxy tab S10 ultra which I have the Galaxy S8 ultra because the 9 that big of an upgrade and I have the iPad mini 6
How's the software experience on Android tablets nowadays?
@@SaranByte other than certain apps only on iPad OS and iPhone for a tablet especially dex it's honestly better than my iPad mini for a big tablet in terms of software performance is not so great but it's usable for what I do and as far as art it's actually better than the old iPads and I'm not buying a new iPad just for art when the display gets downgraded from 14.6 inches so the software experiences great but not perfect
