An unfortunately expensive option to get polyphony is the Blokas Midihub... I'm experimenting with using two MIDI tracks from my Octatrack playing a 5 voice digital synth (Syntakt tracks 4 to 8) AND a 3 voice analog synth (Syntakt tracks 9-11) on the Syntakt. A bit complicated to programme on the Midihub, but the patch available on Patchstorage works perfectly! OK, so then I velcroed my OP-Z to the Syntakt and use another Octatrack MIDI track to play samples on the OP-Z... Of course, I could have just gotten an MC707... 🙈
@@Digiphex I agree. This is my workaround though. It works better on the DT2, because you can select only the tracks you're round-robin-ing and "control all" params on just them.
I had to sell my syntakt last year to pay rent after losing my job. Got a new job a while ago so I might get it again some day if they keep updating to remove its few deficiencies, it’s a great box, closest thing they’ve made to the monomachine and in some ways it’s more powerful, it’s just a little limited in sonically ways that the monomachine wasn’t and I don’t understand why some of those digital engines aren’t being ported over to increase the value of the syntakt. The chord engine is also pretty lackluster on the syntakt, it’s basically the same as it is on the model:cycles and in both cases I always just use it as a way to draft ideas but replace the chords in ableton eventually, whereas most of the other sounds are strong enough to not need any replacement and much tweaking in the daw.
@@No.0.o.0facts. The VO voice engine was cool too and it doesn’t make sense to me to have so much cool digital synth engines/machines stuck on legacy hardware that isn’t supported or sold anymore. Also the monomachine had a built in compressor which was nice, the syntakt you can program the fx channel to automate volume on the sequencer and get a sort of sidechain sound but it’s not quite the same as having a built in compressor.
how exactly does the chord engine work? specifically I always wanted to know if you could change the chords on the sequence or if you are stuck on one preset chord.
Oh man. If they give us 128 steps per pattern, I'll give the CEO of elektron a gentle kiss on the cheek. I know there's not enough LEDs, but they could just put an indicator on the screen. 128 makes a huge difference at high bpms, especially with unquantized melodic solos.
The machine really needs attention, polyphony, and to improve the chord engine which is very poor and bad. We also need a compressor effect and 128 steps.
Funny cuz i literally just sold mine last week lol 😂 same thing happened when they did the rytm update. But its cool, im still holding out for tonverk…
euclidean sequencer yes
Sweet, the update will have Cuckoo installed. Time to buy one!
if not now, then Cockoo come definitely come with firmware 1.30C
Good to see you moving to that groove in that jumper. Very pleased to host you over the weekend all the best Simon. Nice sounds.
Oh hello! It was so lovely to hang out with you and get to know you a little bit. Made my Bristol experience very memorable. 🙏🏼
Sounds so crisp, have to listen to it again! Love the use of reverb on this one!
About damn time ... 🖤
Polyphonic is needed.
If they JUST had allocated voices like oh you can pick 7 voices in this etc that’d be me buying it back again

Retrokits has a $50 smart midi cable that will give any Elektron device polyphony
@@jmichell1880 Should be able to hold down the number of keys and round robin those keys, with the option to copy patch to all.

Unmistakably a Cuckoo track!

The FM and gritty wavetables of the mm should seriously be in the syntakt also samples….

@@stfomusicthere is a chord shape parameter that has a bunch of different chords that can be parameter locked
hell yeahh!!! many thanks for updating us 🙏❤ Super excited for the other necessary improvements 😬
The other need feature is a good snare module /machine at the very least a sd acoustic
Nice!!! Can’t wait for this one 😄
Chorus, compressors and polyphony would be nice.
That is the full sized polymachine coming soon!
F-ing Fire Cuckoo!!! 🤌🙌✌️🖤

I’m going full tongue.
Indicator on screen and each LED color differentiation. Not sure if CPU can handle it.
How about being happy with what you get lol
@@happylittlesynth never. If the CEO wants that kiss, he or she is gonna have to earn it. My love don't come cheap.
George you can't just go around kissing everyone
nice i just bought this and now i get an update!
Really hope they add the chorus from the Digitakt II as an FX block effect
Sounds dope! 👍
Very nice!! When will the update be released? Can’t wait to test the new features
Yes ! Living dreams ✨🎶🖤🎶✨🌙
nice, love the syntakt!!!!
Cuckoo killing it!!!
Euclidian cool , but i really hope the mute mod , kits ect , renaming of midi cc ect will be on the menu !!!
Complimenti ❤
lovely, was debating selling my syntakt for something else.... this update comes juuuust in the nick of time ;)
It's best to buy hardware for the features it already has, than to be unsatisfied because you were hoping for something it didn't have at launch.
Can probably sell for a better price after the update since more people will be wanting one again
Coool! So good!
Hmmmmmm. Elektron usually does great with updates. I’m sure this one will be killer also.
Yes sir
Sounds fantastic

Would really like to have seen an other chord engine ... but nice anyways!
Super cool dude
I was going to sell my syntakt, gonna wait for the update, it will be more valuable by then :D
so the chip machine is being ported over from rytm
Yummie
Hot damn Cuckoo!

Sweet jam!
I sold mine, but I'm glad to hear that Syntakt users are getting something cool.
Sounds juicy juicy

Finally! Hopefully all the complainers who expect Elektron to move mountains regarding software updates can give it a rest for a while...
