I lost my wife of 29 years two weeks ago. I stubled across this youtube video while listening to a song that we danced to once. This has helped me through my grieving process. I am not a musician, Im just a simple engineer who writes firmware and create things that would help people in their daily lives. Thank you.

*I miss our beautiful and loving daughter so much! But, if we allow, God uses all life experiences for good: to equip and bring us closer to him!
Dear reader Jesus says, that because of wars, rumors of wars, "signs in the sun, moon, stars, and upon the earth distress of nations with perplexity: the sea and waves roaring" people's hearts will fail them because of things coming and fear death! (Luke 21: 25-26) I am 73 years of age and due to health issues will soon succomb to the degeneration of this flesh. I will leave this corruptible body behind as the spirit will return incorruptible to my true home and God who made it. (1Pe 1:23) (Hallelujah). (Ecc 12:7) Is God calling you home, dear listener? Only you can answer this question! I believe our loving and faithful Creator is calling you and has put you here, at this moment, for His purposes! Through His breath of life, you have received conscience: with knowledge of good and evil. I know your conscience has been pricked because
of the questions you are asking, even now! We cannot understand, by the reasoning of intelligence, the sovereign and supernatural acts of God. Those whom come to Him must come to him by faith for it is written "without faith it is impossible to please God. (Heb 11:6) God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship
him in spirit and in truth." (John 4:23-24) We cannot receive, nor comprehend, the actions (initiatives) and desires of Father God, our Creator, without spiritual discernment of His Truth: being born again. "Not by works of
righteousness which we have done, but
according to his mercy he saves us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit;" (Tit 3:5) Jesus says, "I am the way (to God) truth (of God) and life (of God) no man comes unto the Father but by Me"" (John 14:6) We did not ask to be born here on this fallen (corrupted) world! Our flesh and sin nature is inherited from the first Adam, a living soul. Through procreation, by whatever means, we are living souls and now must suffer death in these bodies but by our own sin. (Rom 5:12, Deu 24:16) But through the sacrificial death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Messiah of Nazareth, the "Lamb of God" without blemish, God has taken away the sin of the world. (John 1:29) "Sin
has reigned unto death, even so might grace
reign through righteousness unto eternal life by
Jesus Christ our Lord." (Rom 5:21) Jesus has defeated death and the grave and now by grace and through faith in His precious shed and redeeming blood are we saved! (Eph 2:8) Jesus Messiah of Nazareth is the last Adam and quickening Spirit given us by our loving Creator God! (1Co 15:45) Now, a faithful Creator is giving us a choice between life through Him or death by suicide, as committed by the first Adam; our choice! The Spirit of Yahweh's mind, heart, and eternal Spirit can only be accessed and received by His grace and through our faith, in the last Adam, Jesus Messiah of Nazareth! Through His Word, infused with the Holy Spirit of a loving, righteous, and faithful Creator, we hear and see the need for His forgiveness of our sins of unbelief! "For all have sinned, and come short of
the glory of God;" (Rom 3:23) All sin is unbelief in the existence, commands, and promises of heavenly Father! Forgiveness of sin comes only by His grace through our faith. Faith is our choice in obedience to His call! "The mystery of faith is held in a pure conscience" (1Ti 3:9) "Not
the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,
by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:" (1Pe 3:21) This is our understanding of renewal comes through regeneration by the Holy Spirit: a new life of obedience through faith in Jesus! (Rom 1:5-6) Jesus answered and said unto Nicodemus,
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." (John 3:3) All of us who believe, must "work out our own salvation with fear and trembling.
For it is God which works in us both to will and to do of His good pleasure." (Phl 2:12-13) Being born again of Yahweh's Spirit means we will never die or suffer eternal damnation of soul and spirit. Again, our choice! Jesus tells us, "As
Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness,
even so must the Son of man was lifted up.That whosoever believes in Me should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that
He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved. He that believes on Him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness
rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that does evil hates the light,
neither comes to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that does truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God." (John 3: 15-23) For all of you loving your children, families, and friends and with ears to hear this Gospel and good news, do not hesitate please choose life! "I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:" (Deu 30:19) Amen
      Heart Enslaved
We're not to know God's works to be
But share His grace with humanity
Each day I grow and understand
His sorrow and suffering for sinful man
Sin beats a path till its road is paved
A highway of destruction to a heart enslaved
How sad for those who will not see His grace cleanse their iniquity
      (Acts 1:7)

Take a moment now to sense whether you are carrying any guilt associated with the habits you are trying to cultivate. Oftentimes people beat themselves up for their stops and starts, or not achieving things fast enough.
Take a deep breath and realize there is no need for misplaced anger any longer. Here, there is no self-loathing, no bad grades. Everyone goes at their own pace, taking tiny steps and celebrating each one.

What a wonderful, helpful, inspiring, and authentic dialogue. I am an artist and often will tell myself unhelpful things like “There are too many artists in the world, why would they want to see my art?” or other such disparaging remarks. This was so helpful to unwind that broken tape and shut it down, because as I tell my students that I teach art to, “No one sees as you see, no one can express what you can express, no one can convey the stories you have, yes, there are those that want to see your art, and maybe even need to see your art, so create to the best of your ability whatever is inside, trying to come out.” Thank you Rick and Jay, for validating what I know is true in my heart, this brings tears to my eyes. Bless you both ❤

      (Acts 1:7)

Wish I found this interview much earlier in life. What a teaching moment by Rick Rubin. I am a massive overthinker--I can see this helping in a big way if I can put it into practice. We need so much more of this type of thinking in our world. It would be great if the US Government would hire Rick as an advisor to help them get back to working well together (crazy, but one can dream). Would help

Most of the things we do in life are just to be accepted or belong somewhere, our brain keeps telling us to do this so that people will love it, and that kinda gives us a sense of acceptance. We crave acceptance from others because we haven't accepted ourselves. All our life we cater to other people, we focus on other people but the answer to our life lies within us. But we rarely see within us. Once we learn to accept ourselves, we will never crave acceptance from others and at that moment our life will change forever! Self-acceptance = simple life!

I love this interview! Creativity is sort of a magical thing because of how random and elusive it can be. A "block" in creativity is unfortunately more the norm than the exception, and if we could somehow know exactly what circimstances we need (at any particular period of time) to re-stimulate our creative energy, we could perhaps get ourselves out of a creative doldrum very quickly. But we seldom know exactly what we need!

The amount of mutual respect, appreciation and love these two had shared during the podcast goes through the vibration of their voices, their chosen words and expressions. It was a delight to hear. And I totally resonate with Jay: Rick's book is one of a kind. I'm savoring this book, reading every word and marinating on every thought. That's one of the best books I have ever read by far. Rick's writing is completely honest to who he is, there's no shape or form, and still everything he wrote is completely down to earth as it honors every aspect of the human being's essence, which is creativity, openeness and love. I wish I could meet Rick in person one day. Funny fact is that if that happen to come true, I'm sure we'll sit in silence, close our eyes and just be. 🙏🏼❤️ Much gratitude for sharing such beautiful and deep wisdom. 🇧🇷🙏🏼💎
