Surfing in Tokyo? Wait what? Well, only a 1-hour train ride away from Shibuya you will find Kamakura. A surfing paradise with a laid-back vibe, incredible nature, sightseeing, and sunset views of Mount Fuji.

It's worth going by train for either a day trip or a weekend trip. One ride cost around 1000 yen. You will find local surfers and skaters all around as well as happy vibes.
Locals usually store their boards in shops where you can also rent surfboards and gear. You will find plenty of surf shops and schools while walking.
You can pretty much surf the whole coast from Chigaskai Beach to Zushi Beach.
Chase waves with pretty much everything: such as stand-up paddle boarding, surfing, windsurfing, hydro foiling as well as kite surfing.
