Yaaaasssssss!!! So glad your eyes 👀 rolled too 🐏 sey!!! It was def my fave from the ones I’ve tried. Looking forward to your reviews on all of them. Tabac Tabou made me feel like I was in a horse barn with the pissy hay smell-really evocative and interesting, Cuir Ottoman had a lot of tolu which was unique. I also hate clean white musk. A negative review now and then is good now and then as it’s boring when everything is all sun and roses.

I absolutely loved it... it might have jumped to the Pantheon of Musk fragrances for me... Areej le Doré Siberian Musk & Bortnikoff Musk Khabib... but they use REAL Deer Musk while this is competiting with the big dogs using Hyraceum & Muscenone... very very very impressed and I could smell it in the morning as if I just sprayed it too 😳.. the EDP is a monster... this house really grabbed me and left me wondering what in the world took me so long to discover Parfum d'Empire!
@@RamseytheRam Wow that is high praise indeed! I’ve never smelled the bortnikoff or ALD, glad I don’t have to spend a lot more to get something of similar quality.
Yes high praise indeed BUT there is something special about smelling the real thing... something almost HOLY... if you ever get the chance to smell the AlD or Bortnikoff I would highly suggest it 😊
I appreciate the honesty here and I totally agree with you on A Midsummer Dream. I was so let down when I sampled it like... "What?! Is this really a Roja!!" I'm also a fan of his creations but this was a big pass for me. I'm not a big fan of the fresh scents in general but his Burlington is waaaaaaay much better and more interesting! I don't know if you have sampled Burlington 1819 yet but if not, you should definitely sample it. It'd be great to hear your thoughts on my favorite fresh scent from Roja!

Beverly Hills Perfumery I have found has the best 2ml sample atomizers I have bought. Perfumed Court also has good atomizers. I like the ones I can unscrew the sprayer just to get a dab sample. Yeah I really dislike those same atomizers you showed. Sometimes I can't even get them to spray. They also have no easy way to open them.
I was going to talk about Xerjoff shooting stars GAO today but I couldnt get the sprayer to spray... same aweful samples ... Xerjoff and Roja should spend some of the dough they are over charging people and put it back into the business .. shame on them 😠
Tim, completely agree on the sample sprayers. BHP, PC, and I would add Indigo do it right.
From my own experience sampling designers, those specific atomizers have a dismal track record. On the other hand, I'm pretty sure I had an Invictus one that wouldn't spray and I experienced relief and gratitude. 😆 So I suppose it's a mixed bag. Appreciate those honest thoughts as always. One request - more exaggerations! 😄 Let the creativity flow.

@@RamseytheRam lol ok, good advice! ✌Diaghilev is my No. 1. Adore Unspoken, edp, which some say is an earlier interpretation of Roja HL. Both Fortnum and Masons are lovely. Pierre de Velay No.1 is another favorite. Also enjoy wearing Kuwait.
@@taffyj531 wow never smelled most of those except Diaghilev which was hands down my favorite until Great Britain butted in and started giving it a run for its money ... its either Great Britain or Diaghilev for me with 3rd place going to PDLN 3... Would love a full bottle of that one day... but for now I am content to just wear Eau d'Hermes 😆

I actually like this one, although haven't worn it much yet, so maybe I'm missing something. I've also smelled a lot of fragrances, close to 800, and haven't quiet smelled anything like it.
It just seemed like the most boring of all the Roja's I have tried 🤷♂️its like Lanier Smith says though... wear what you love not what they tell you to love 😊
Hi Ramsey! Great review! I feel like we are “generation white musk” - the stuff is just in everything (which cheapens it for fine fragrance). I know some white musk molecules are super super expensive, but I don’t care bc they are all so boring to me! They just all smell like laundry, 🤷🏻♀️

Ramsey! I know you've got tons of ideas of your own for the videos, but I've been thinking... what about maybe a 'this is not a top 10' featuring a *wide array* of *different* types of perfumes? Imagine having someone over at your place, someone who doesn't know much, if anything, about perfumes etc., and you don't have the time to explore your entire collection, not even your 50 best etc., and the idea is to introduce your guest to the world of perfumery using your taste, your knowledge and your collection: This is the best floral, rose (1) perfume, and this is great as well, but it's not as expensive (2), this is the best fougere (3), and this is the best musk (4), this is the most emblematic leather (5) and this one is also great but not discontinued (6) etc. etc. with maybe 15-20 or so frags from your collection. The end goal would be for your guest to have some understanding of the whole spectrum. What do you think? Thanks!

Even my 7.5 ml sample of haute luxe from roja has a sticker on the atomizer lol.
I know i have one of those 7.5ml discovery atomizers too and you are exactly right... what is it like 300 bucks for 7.5ml 😂
And all you get is a sticker on the standard atomizer 😆
The crappy Roja samples look like the crappy Le Labo ones I have. My Tabac 28 sample doesn't even spray anymore.
Pathetic ... these high end brands need to step up their sample game 😊

Parfum d'Empire is a great brand. The original Musc Tonkin was an extrait, with a punchy opening of pure skank. Wish I kept that bottle.
🤔 interesting... so they went extrait first... then EDP ... then discontinued the EDP & kept the Extrait but in a new bottle 🤠
I love the EDP though... instantly one of my favorite musks 🙏
@@RamseytheRam Yes, that's right; it was released in 2012 as an extrait, limited edition.. The bottle I had was from the 2012 launch; I haven't smelled the newer extrait or the edp to compare. Glad you love it! 💙
I hate the shitty sample bottles. If you have a vice or something that can securely hold the bottle still up to the neck, you can take a pair of pliers and snap the top of without breaking the bottle.
I might try it if I get desperate enough to try Xerjoff Shooting Stars GAO... until then I just threw it with the others 100s of samples I have just sitting there lol

You are correct I should try more of these samples... I just get so upset when I wear a sample as my SOTD and it sucks when I could be wearing some of the frags I love & have full bottles of 🤷♂️
@@RamseytheRam never wear a sample as a SOTD, unless you have a 5+ml decant/sample. The average sample being 1.5ml can only stand one small sampling and 1 wear. A full size atomizer will dispense about .1ml of juice per spray(10-12 sprays per ml) and a sample 20 sprays per ml. I usually sample fragrances after work with a couple sprays on one skin spot, and if I enjoy it enough, I will use the rest for a couple more tests or 1 "full wear ".

I actually like the fragrance " think it's a good casual year round fragrance, but unfortunately once again at 320 00 dollar's! It's not worth the price! I understand quality of ingredients but there's nothing mind blowing in this one. Lol . Out of curiosity I bought a sample of Alexandria FRAGRANCES inspiration of this fragrance called Casanova and let me tell you it was so spot on honestly after 20 to 30 minutes they was identical!!! Lol. And at a fraction of the cost lol lol lol I have about a little over 20 years now in the fragrance community and honestly the quality of oils being used in these new inspiration house's is putting some of these niche FRAGRANCES house's to shame lol
I 100% agree ... although I dont usually talk about clone brands this Alexandria brand has Casanova & they also have one called Zion I have smelled that is really good... would never buy Rojas A Midsummer Dream or Elysium Pour Homme tbh 🤷♂️
If your target customers are yuppies which don t have a clue about parfums and they just buy it because it s expensive, then you can use cheap sprayers like that I think :-) it s sad if they discover that there is money to be made...booom

Ebay... its because the old EDP were 100 ml but they are now discontinued... only extraits left at 50ml of Parfums D'Empire .. someone made a mistake selling this amazing sauce I can tell you that 😂😂😂

Yes but it was before I had Musk tonkin... to be honest outside of the Areej le dore & Bortnikoffs that use Real Deer musk... Musk Tonkin is my favorite mass produced musk fragrance of all time... I will rank my Musk video soon my friend 😊

I struggle with Mkk... its got something that hits me the wrong way... even though Musk Tonkin is still animalic (maybe even more animalic than mKK) it just hits my nose right & I love it 😊
Just on a side note I love how the entire house of Parfum d'Empire does animalic notes 🤌🤌🤌
