Hope everything is ok, I know what you mean about having one of those scenes where you need a stiff drink. Re: Shiso leaf, it's lovely in fact I'm growing it in my garden. Used in Japanese cuisine with Sushi or Sashimi, wrapped around the piece of fish it compliments the flavour, like lemon. Great content as always, some nice additions there.
My fragrance week is getting better, Ma Liberte today. It gets better and better with each wear.

Ma liberte is amazing ... do you have the EDP or EDT? I have the EDP & I love it... but I have never smelled the EDT 👀
@@RamseytheRam AHH poor thing, that is painful and irritating as hell, one of those things that's all too easy to do. I can imagine, as a parent you feel so helpless.
As for healthcare staff... it's even more hit or miss these days. Not sure how it is over there but here the quality is in severe decline. Apparently being too busy is the norm, they're not... they are just at work! Attitude seems high on the agenda, I feel it's time to put back CARE back in healthcare.
My ML is edt, it lasts and lasts, opens up beautifully throughout the day.

I have a 2015 Jubilation XXV magnetic, and I love it.
I also have vintage decants, I think I have two, and some 2013/14 Amouage carded samples of Jub XXV.
Difference, some. The opening berry note isn't as thick as the 2015, but the 2015 is still an eye-opener. Wonderful.
I don't know what the newer ones are like.
I do wish I picked up Silver Man when Osswald's was having an inventory cleanout.
Dia Man is another one that I love. I'll be able to find both
I have two of the Attars. Tribute is one of them. Not too much juice left in them, but still, the box and bottles are neat.
I had to do some dutiful restoration, that's why I got them so cheap. I enjoyed the work.
Looking at Reflection Man right now. Got that with the deal.
The bottle has only about 20 to 30 sprays left, but you know when the bottle gets down there like that,
the juice left is really good. Going to wear it tomorrow. Give Roccobarcco Pour Homme a break.

You should try and reach out to Roja and convince him to do an interview with you. It would be great. Sadly, I think he would be put off because of some of your honest comments but I don’t think he should be. I don’t think it would detract from his brand if he drew attention to it by doing an interview

Hi Ramsey! Love my Haute Lux bottle! Agree it’s a complex one to get to know. Shimmery, labdanum, floral, oakmoss, vanilla, yep 😀 To me, the Iris note is quite plush. Guerlain inspiration… hmmm… that’s super interesting! Metallica over HL! Now I’m super interested in finding at least a sample. Most Excellent video! Thank you for the learning! ❤️🙏

Speaking if Le Lion, I have to thank you and Emel for convincing me to try it again. I got a decant and first time I sprayed on skin it was a totally different experience-just beautiful. I also scored lightly used Oud Palao for $70 and…..a Dior Homme silver stem for $80!!! 🎣 Hope the good news outweighs the bad Ramsey.
Thank you for that and congrats on the amazing buys... those are some serious value for money deals you scored there... all is well that ends well.. basically my daughter had an abrassion on her Cornea we ended up being stuck in the hospital for 24 hours... it was a nightmare... she should be fine though in the end... there was more to the story but that is the short short version... it will heal back to 100% in due time 😊
And the good news should be something that lasts and lasts for years to come... so glad you tried Le Lion ... I think its the best Labdanum heavy fragrance of all time ❤️

I love Le Lion but I guess I am partial because I am a Leo.
@@en.chamade It was so different than on paper! The bergamot is incredible and I found so many more facets on skin. My partner hated it but I still might get it eventually. I love the hunt and waiting for a good deal. The Dior Homme was a 50 ml and I was a bit worried it wasn’t legit but I got lucky.
Just a pedantic pronunciation note but ‘Haute’, meaning ‘high’ or ‘grand’ in English, is pronounced like ‘oat’ (with the ‘h’ being almost silent). Cheers.

You have 2 of the Amouage’s I must have. Gentleman’s Cologne and Gold Woman. … I’m looking looking for a vintage Gold Man but I have a current era Gold. It’s fabulous. It makes me want to go upgrade my wardrobe.
They are both full bottle worthy especially if you love Gold Man.... get with my buddy Mudassir from Basenotes... he may be able to sort you out with a bottle 🤌🤌🤌

By far Haute Luxe... I don't really like Chypre Extraordinaire
Impressive haul for sure Rams ,I can only speak for Terre D’Hermes Parfum as it’s the my favorite,not knocking the OG edt it’s really good but I feel the parfum Just has that little something extra . The Haute Lux ,the personal Signature scent of ,the man with the golden slippers lol ,(reference to Bond villain Scaramonga) I feel it will only be known to me through excellent reviews from the likes of your good self. Those this sadden or up set me ? Hell no , I’m gonna get me some gold slippers and ponce about the house of an evening wearing Heritage, how’s about that then Mr Dove and friends haha ha ,ya gotta have a laugh now and again,have a good one Rams,smell ya later 👍🙏✌️
Hey hey thats exciting... i grabbed your favorite Terre D'Hermès by accident... dont feel like you are missing out... is it nice to apply and wear a 3500 dollar bottle of perfume sure... but you only need to try it once or twice ... unless your name is on the hospital wing you work at Bren... this one is probably NOT full bottle worthy 😂😂😂

This is true... although maybe after waking up in a cold sweat with heart palpitations after realizing you just spent 3500 hundred clams on a perfume (plus Tax) you might need an EKG done on the old ticker 🩺⏰️
Ramsey, I’m sure you’ve been asked before but how the hell do all your fragrances stay fresh and not go off?
Just keep them away from sunlight most of the time and you will be fine... fragrances if kept probably can last 40 or 50 years
24k Jivago for Men was the first time I used with gold inside. Late 90’s
That Lair D'or bottle with the gold flakes is from the 80s... Roja Haute Luxe is definately not the first and probably not the last to throw Gold flakes in a bottle and sell something for 100 times what it is worth 😂

Great review. I almost pulled the trigger for haute luxe for abt $1400, then I changed my mind and bought a backup bottle of Great Britain.

No way... i agree with your take on Great Britain... I think Great Britain is a much better perfume... to be quite honest if I was going to spend $1000 bucks on a perfume to add to the arsenal right now it would be Guerlain Metallica / Métalys over Haute Luxe...even though I am probably the only person on earth to make that association ... I just get MORE out of the Guerlain... plus its a John-Paul Guerlain... I know a true master perfumer made it vs Haute Luxe... who knows who really made that thing... could be some Junior Robertet perfumer for all we know 🤷♂️

Well if you watched my top 100 you know vintage Bel Ami is my favorite fragrance of all time...both of those you mentioned I own full bottles of & I love them both... fetish adds more smoke to the composition while puredistance M focuses more of the leather itself... its funny because sometimes I prefer puredistance M and sometimes I think I prefer Fetish pour homme parfum....but one thing that never wavers is Bel Ami deserves all the love and attention it doesnt get because of the influence it had on other leather fragrance going forward like the two we were just talking about & Je Suis un Homme etc.. for whatever reason that oily leathery / birch tar & spiced is just perfect for me 😊
As much as I love perfume, I have to say that I draw the line on the price. Some of these freaking perfumes cost as much as buying a condo or a car, all of which are ridiculous. I make a half-way decent salary, but would not spend $1,400 on a perfume. For years I have wanted to own Roja Dove’s Diaghilev but cannot justify a price now of $1,050.00 before tax. It is ludicrous.
Diaghilev IS amazing though.. its definately better than this Haute Luxe we talked about today... I did a top 100 count down last month of my favorites and Diaghilev was in the top ten.. one of the best Rojas along with Great Britain IMO 🤩

Original Santal is very similar to montblanc individual (which came first out and was of course heavily influenced from joop homme)... Vintage le male is the reason for my fragrance journey
Yes thats right... montblanc individual did come first didnt it.. then they discontinued it and then brought it back when creed took that DNA & released a fragrance for 300 to 400 bucks 😂😂😂

Thats funny... i honestly love them both but if you have never smelled the vintage Lancaster version of Joop! Homme I think it is vastly different from the modern bubble gum pink version coty is putting out now a days... hunt down a lancaster bottle .. I will do a comparison video between joop! Homme vintage and original Santal when fall / winter rolls around again 🤌🤌🤌
OMG. I am so glad I found your Chanel. I have enjoyed all your videos, but this one was out of the park! Oh, I forgot to mention that I completely agree with you. I have collected perfumes since I was about 17 years old and that era was the epitome of perfumes. I live in a small place but I probably have more perfume than food and wine. (Okay, it is easier to deplete a bottle of wine than a bottle of perfume unless you hate it and pour it down the toilet , but the same could be said about a hated bottle of wine which you would probably pour down your kitchen sink in lieu of the toilet.) That all being said, I am really delighted to have found your chanel. You do not mince words and tell it like it is. I also like your honesty and especially enjoyed your Roja Dove perfume review. @@RamseytheRam Parfum, heavy floral with a hint of ylang-ylang. I thought with the ylang-ylang it would smell something like Micallef Ylang-ylang In Gold but it doesn't.
I enjoy Bois 1920 Extrème, I will not go for Zino by Lancaster as I have the Italian one. Have the Zino by Coty but it's a much more basic palette in my non educated opinion. 🙏🐃

Yes thats right! But I think they did that after the Roja if I am not mistaken ... i think that brand started in 2015... but I could be wrong... I own exactly zero bottles from Atelier des Ors 🤷♂️
