Ramsey, I absolutely loved your video on the beloved Diaghilev, which, I have to admit took me years to acquire before I could buy it. Thankfully, I was able to buy it before I was forced to retire. Your video truly did this magical perfume justice. Although I have less lifetime left than my many perfumes, if I were only able to keep one bottle of perfume, it would be Diaghilev. In my humble most opinion, it is the masterpiece of all fragrances ever created. Thank you so much for doing this video!

I actually much prefer Diaghilev to mitsouko. You are also right that black currant bud is animalic/pee-like. The original formula of POAL contained black currant bud absolute but not any more. Too expensive. I like the smell of it. It's more animalic than castoreum for me which is interesting. It smells witchy too! I just purchased from E-Bay a vintage bottle of Histoire d’Amour and it is a EDT 3.4 oz. Bottle. Some of the liquid is missing but not too much. Awesome review as always! But I want to ask if you would think of Diaghilev as a more mature perfume, ideal for people in their 30s-40s rather than younger ages. It's my favorite among the Rojas I have sampled but I think that I couldn't pull it off just yet. Thanks for your time and effort to put videos like this together!
Hey 🐏 sy Comparatively to femme i cannot ever dare to wear it outside because of that fruity ripe candied opening that is just a big NoNo (Too vintage too old, unwearable) to my taste, but the oakmoss drydown grows on me and is pleasantly nice, does diaghilev keeps more of that candied fruit aspect of femme? Femme also doesn't smell remotely modern as it is vintage which is also making it unwearable for me, I'm curious what part makes diaghilev modern and different than your typical vintage chypre? Because i do hear it does have modern qualities to it
I dont think it has a candied fruity vibe as much as femme You may not be able to wear Diaghilev because of how sexual that cumin & civet smells...but I love it 💪🐏

I wish you all the best and try to keep the most loved fragrances that you have. Dmitry
One of my favourites, I am selling 10 bottles of shit to get it. Btw, is it true that you will be parting with half your collection due to your personal situation! Hard to believe that anyone with any sensibility would force you to do so.
I’m sorry to break it for all of you here, but if you’re ever got trapped in such situation where you accidentally witness 2+ people getting cozy you know the room rarely ever smell like perfume unless some of the participant wears perfume, let alone Diaghilev specifically. But I get the poetry behind the imaginary. Diaghilev is really beautiful , but at 1000+€ I think it is just a steal. It can compete directly with Van Cleef & Arpels “Gem” from 80s, but the later costed a tiny fraction of the price of the former.
Will be you trying the new absolu aventus? Apparently it's around 50% oil concentration. Heard about it a few months ago & the sales assistant in harrods said its coming before Christmas. Hopefully it's good

Ramsey, I need help. Maybe you have 50 ml or 100 ml tall vintage bottle of Eau Sauvage Extreme to tell the height of the bottles? I won auction but concerned if it was 50 ml or 100 ml.
I dont own Eau Sauvage Extreme
@@RamseytheRam Thank you for the answer
Great review as always….need to get me a bottle soon 😊
I need to get you to spend $ Ajay 😂😂😂
Malik Al Taif shall be mine 😅😅
Great video, it’s the best from Roja 🎉
I agree.. the best Roja indeed 🤌🤌🤌
Hi Ramsey. For me Diaghilev and parfum de la nuit 3 from Roja are out of this world. Do you know Angeliki from Angelos Creations Olfactives? Lovely chypre. Best Regards. Pedro
I have never smelled Angeliki... I will put it on the never ending to sniff list 🙏🙏🙏
I love Mitsouko, and the only Roja I've smelled is Chypre Extraordinaire. I thought it was awwwwful. Is it worth giving them another shot?
Some rojas are shit be careful before spending so much
I hated Chypre Extraordinaire... give Diaghilev a shot
@@RamseytheRamtried a sample and didn’t like it at all.
Classic of a video here. Ambrette seed is a favorite material of mine, it's got such a naughty vibe to it lol
I also love Ambrette... a brilliant note 🤌🤌🤌
Really enjoyed this one, superbly done befitting a favorite of yours ,and cheers for the heads up on the 50 ml bottle now on offer ,will absolutely consider a purchase,if I can’t find a partial 100ml from an older batch ,cheers Rams awesome video man 🙏👍✌️
Thanks Bren I hope you can grab a bottle one of these days 🥂
@@RamseytheRam 100% it will be my next purchase brother, I gotta have one eating my arm right now from my little 9 ml sample lol 😂✌️
It’s always more fun to bless than to curse
Some people love the negative reviews lol
I just try and always be honest no matter what
Thanks for watching 🙂
@@RamseytheRamyou’ve given me a hankering for this. Been years. Next sample incoming
I think any one of any age can pull it off as long as they have some gravitas about them 🙏
@@RamseytheRam Thank you for your insight on it, I will consider getting a bottle soon! Have a great day!
Because i do hear it does have modern qualities to it
I dont think it has a candied fruity vibe as much as femme
You may not be able to wear Diaghilev because of how sexual that cumin & civet smells...but I love it 💪🐏
@@RamseytheRam gosh i hope i would liked it, im 2 weeks in into my preorder blind buy of it😂, i'm trying to get the best chypre to actually prove to myself that not all chypre's the same you know being old and not welcoming to new noses
Amouage Jubilation 25 Woman is so, so close and $$$$ less expensive.
Got a 50ml bottle on sale- great price.
Jubilation 25 for woman is fantastic and so underrated... but there are differences
That 100ml bottle is starting to run low.
Dont get my anxiety up 😅
A true masterpiece. I feel like i am smelling history, a piece of world class art when i spray this from a decant.
Yes this is true historical Art in a bottle 🖼
I’m getting a decant today. Based on the way this review is going, I’m going to say I probably won’t like it. Not because I’ll think it’s “bad” but because as fun as it sounds, sweaty intercourse marathon is not a scent that I need in my collection.
To each their own! 😂😂😂
Let me know what you make of it
@@RamseytheRam ok so I just sprayed it on the back of my hand. You were right about it having a breathtaking opening. I don’t think I understand what’s going on but it’s a lot!! Definitely need more time with it.
Diaghilev is just a beauty🤌🏼 A scent animallic enough to keep you hooked and classy enough to wear to a black tie event🤝❤️
To me Diaghilev is what James Bond wears, wearing a Tux while stealing the bad guys girl🚬🤷🏼♂️
Absolutely spot on brother... my kinda fragrance 🕴
One of the discounters has a 100ml bottle for $545. I’m tempted to blind buy 😮
Thats actually a really good deal 😬
Great series, new sub and
Binged watched a few videos that piqued my interest. Agree with your thoughts on diaghalev. Question I didn't see Qatar mentioned by you in the videos I searched up. Have you also tried qatar from roja? Would love to see a video on that as well
I have not unfortunately... its on the never ending to sniff list
Thanks for the sub & welcome the the channel🙏
Hello, Ramsey 👋 Brilliant review of this fantastic fragrance 👏 Love your work on this channel, thank you so much!
2 days ago I wore 4 sprays of Russian Musk II + 2 sprays of Diaghilev, what a great Chypre evening this was. I love wearing Diaghilev in any weather and temperature, it’s perfection.
I went buying more Chypre fragrances this year after watching your reviews and how your are loving Chypre style.
I wish you all the best and try to keep the most loved fragrances that you have. Dmitry
Thank you for the support 🙏🙏🙏
One of my favourites, I am selling 10 bottles of shit to get it. Btw, is it true that you will be parting with half your collection due to your personal situation! Hard to believe that anyone with any sensibility would force you to do so.
we shall see how it all plays out but its a definate possibility
Why it take thirteen years for you to discover it?
Just because I did the video in 2023 I didnt discover it in 2023... want to try again?
@@RamseytheRam Try what? To make you look stu pid? Don't have to try, with you.
First!
👀
Yeah buddy!!
I can't be lusting over this fragrance..it will cost me everything lol
😂😂😂
It is NOT cheap thats for sure
@@RamseytheRam you don't strike me as a ram, more like a GOAT🙂
Diaghilev is ..the chypre of chypres!! Like this !! Simple .
The king of Chypres 👑
@@RamseytheRam like this !!
The man of countless snails 🐌😂 GaRRRRyyyyyy! Ohhh Ramsey. What have you done. 🤣 The fragrance however...timeless.
😂😂😂
Roja the 🐌man🤔😂
I’m sorry to break it for all of you here, but if you’re ever got trapped in such situation where you accidentally witness 2+ people getting cozy you know the room rarely ever smell like perfume unless some of the participant wears perfume, let alone Diaghilev specifically. But I get the poetry behind the imaginary. Diaghilev is really beautiful , but at 1000+€ I think it is just a steal. It can compete directly with Van Cleef & Arpels “Gem” from 80s, but the later costed a tiny fraction of the price of the former.
Gem is beautiful💎
Will be you trying the new absolu aventus? Apparently it's around 50% oil concentration. Heard about it a few months ago & the sales assistant in harrods said its coming before Christmas. Hopefully it's good
I would love to try Aventus Absolu... but I wont pay for it... someone will have to send me some 😅
@@RamseytheRam I've linked a picture of the bottle.
TH-cam blocks links but I have seen it
@@RamseytheRam no worries mate hopefully it's good! I didn't like the aventus cologne but the notes on this do look better & the price isn't bad considering it's cheaper than the 100ml if I sample I'll let you know how if its good
A masterpiece! So many notes, perfectly blended. 1,000 bucks? If ya got it, it’s worth it. For the rest of us plebs, he offers a 50ml bottle sans fancy unicorn-skin-lined box for less than half price. 😅
Fantastic review of one of my all time favs! 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻 thx, Rams!
No unicorn skin?! 🥺🦄
I love this video! I just got a hint that I might like this perfume, I checked whether I can find it in your account and there it is! Your description is very detailed and reaction reminds me of my reaction for Mitsouko - my favorite perfume. I will definitely try this one when I have a chance. @ramsey
Do let me know what you make of it... Mitsouko is potentially the greatest fragrance ever made , but I prefer wearing Diaghilev personally
