I have the very first year of the Road Glide model (1998) and have personally put 143,000 miles on it. I guess you can say that I love it... Willie G really knew what he was doing.
Went from my FXR with a 124 full done to a road glide 2017 , put a bassani on it and some bars it’s soooo much better so comfy and I get like 450 km a tank . Dream machine fuck anything else
On my 18 street glide special I have the Ohlins FKS228 drop in fork cartridges, paired with their HD772 rear shocks, the fronts made a huge difference, totally worth it in my opinion.
Bike looking good and shiny, Andrew certainly don't baby his bike just blasting... Matt your camera setup always make sense, nice video per usual. Love from Africa.
Really nice, the look is great with the gold parts and stainless Bassani. I appreciate the money that already went into it, without even doing engine stuff yet!
Love that look!! But is there a T-Bar that will permit and medium height man to see the infotainment screen? Losing sight of that would be the only down side for me.
Already knew Andrews bike was going to be sick. His Street Glide was a monster! The only thing that throws me off is the gauge relocation. I like it but then it looks weird at the same time. I guess you just have to get used to it. Anyway man..sick bike. When’s the next epic ride vid coming out? The trip to Zion was a classic! Respect fellas.
Thank you for the kind words man! Tbh it was a little weird at first but yeah you get used to it. We don’t have a long trip planned just yet. But there were talks about doing a trip up north to the Redwoods! Thanks for watching man! 🤙🏼🤙🏼
When i had that problem. I had the SG with a stage 4 114 with just the street tuner and slip ons. Bike started chugging and coughing up in Yosemite. Threw “front cylinder too lean” codes. Once i came down in elevation it started running better. Soon after got the auto tuned.
Wicked Road Glide Andrew! Well done sir. Great video Matt. Love the channel, keep the custom bikes coming! With the performance bagger craze in full effect do you think the motor company would be smart to introduce an entry level Road Glide, similar to the new Electra Glide Standard? To me it makes a lot of sense to have a bare bones Road Glide for those who want to do a custom build at a lower price point. Keep up the good work dude, also enjoying the podcast!
Awesome looking bike. Are those stock handlebars? I have a 2020 LRS and like your set up. I see some guys putting on moto bars but not sure the advantage? any help? Thanks.
It’s a custom made vest handmade in California by Espinozas leather. They are out here in Rosemead CA. The one I’m wearing is a Laidlaws edition. We sell here in our dealership! 🤙🏼
Greetings from new Zealand. nice bike Andrew. I really like the idea of baggers getting hotter. I have an opinion on the touring vents. I think HD should have kept them. A 5 am start from Durango CO to Four corners with motorcross gloves had me fully closed and thawing my hands on the rear head (M8 Ultra), yet fully open the previous day on the 141 -Gateway to Naturita. I dont think it would be such a big deal to keep them.. Keep up the good work. cheers, Greg . Coromandel NZ
Thank you! Really? Thank you for the feedback! I’ll keep that in mind next time I’m on a long distance trip in cooler weather. The Zion trip was in summer so then i couldn’t tell a big difference. But yeah thank you for watching!
I have a 2019 RGS as well, I added the Kahuna heated grips. it might help a little closing the vents but not that much I run with mine open all the time. I just got back from Sturgis hit temps from 37 to 107 and the heated grips worked great on the colder days so glad I installed them.
I bought my RWD front suspension cartridges in Nov 2019 at the initial release. IDK why they’re not on the website. Maybe call or email RWD and ask about availability.
Nice Andrew ... I have had both a Road Glide and a Street Glide and I am also 5 ft 11 ... on a good day ... (hehe) BUT i liked the Street Glide better mainly for the better wind protection and also the reach to the info center was MUCH easier ... JUST my opinion ... but LUVed both bikes. THANKS for sharing !!
I can't get enough of this video! And..I like the Low Rider S and the Slim. Andrew and Matt made the baggers GREAT AGAIN!!! I want to see 4 more years of these cool vids then some lol Love you guys!!!
I was always a FXDL guy for a long time. I used to talk mad $%!t on the touring guys for riding those hogs but now that I have a FLTRXS I don’t think I can go back 😂 Nice Bike Dude. Ride Safe 🤙🏼
Hey Andrew, beautiful build. I'm not a fan of the black rims, so seeing your gold ones was refreshing. By chance, do you have a link or model # to order?
Nice bike a really good taste simple and clean 👍🏼. Kraus advertise the wolf plate what is the difference between in it and the t ricks plate you are running? Thanks 🙏
I have ZERO experience with the S&S or the Zipper, I'm sure they are great. I did a SE stage 3 117 on my 20 SGS and DUDE!! Totally diff bike and ABSOLUTELY worth it IMHO!! Sick!!! Love the Bike!! This one sounds pretty amazing with that exhaust as well
Mean A$$ bike!! Hey Matt - in your opinion, what’s difference in KST 14 Ape hangers on a roadglide or those T bars? I hear TBars allow more control...🤔
Nice ride man, picked up a 20 RG blue & white this year and love it. Will be going with the RS1 shocks as well. Any clearance issues with the shocks, axle and exhaust?
My RWD rear shocks are 13”. The add’l suspension travel vs the stock H-D shocks is a huge improvement. And installation is super easy. No clearance issues on my ‘18 RGS.
It’s does, but Im rockin the king tour pack, windshield and my bike is chrome. I don’t think I’ve seen a chrome setup yet🤔. Question if you could, t-bars seem like they keep you pretty straight up in the seating position and less pressure on the wrist, true?
G’day Matt, what are the fairing pieces btw the bags and the rear fender. They aren’t open like that (so you can see the shocks) from the factory are they?
I love how Matt filmed on a livewire so there was no exhaust noise to interfere with The road glides exhaust noise, very smart
I have the very first year of the Road Glide model (1998) and have personally put 143,000 miles on it. I guess you can say that I love it...
Willie G really knew what he was doing.
That bike is exactly why I’m buying a road glide this year. So legit
thank you!!!
Went from my FXR with a 124 full done to a road glide 2017 , put a bassani on it and some bars it’s soooo much better so comfy and I get like 450 km a tank . Dream machine fuck anything else
Nice ride Andrew. That’s what I love about Harleys your options to make it your own are endless. Great job.
Thank you!
Love the gold rims
Thank you!! I appreciate it! 🤙🏼
@@speedpig513 do you know what brand of candy gold was use to pc the wheels....dope RGS 👊🏼

Good looking bike.
Enjoy the insight. Nice to hear your experience thus far. Look forward to the rest.
Hooah
Now that's what I like., on nice clean looking bike with a nice roaring bassani pipe!
Love the bike, Andrew has good taste.
Thank you for the kind words and support! 🤙🏼🙏🏻
What a great build and ride sounds really great thanks for sharing
The sound of that exhaust is awesome!!! Love what you've done with the bike.
When I get the money I want Andrew to help design my next ride. Love the style!!!!
I’ve been waiting to see what Andrew did to the Roadglide since the Zion video when he had just bought it. Good stuff!!! Ride safe!!!
He finally got it done. At least stage 1 of the build
@@MattLaidlaw So when are you going to convert over to the RGS ?
Alright Andrew! Awesome upgrades and exhaust! Ride on.
Thank you!
I love the sound. I looked at the vid twice just to hear the sound. Nice Bike.
Nice touch with the ultra limited rear fender. Looks so smooth and pairs perfectly with the bags💯👌🏾
Nice bike Andrew!... I like your style be safe out there. 🤘🏽🤘🏽
I will thank you for the support! 🤙🏼
That Harley-Davidson sound...👌🖤🏍💨🔥
Can’t beat it!!! Thanks for watching!
that bike with a 131 and that exhaust will be perfect
I can’t wait man! Thank you!
Is that a stock bassani exhaust? Sounds a little louder than normanl.
Bike looking good and shiny, Andrew certainly don't baby his bike just blasting... Matt your camera setup always make sense, nice video per usual. Love from Africa.
Thanks man 👍🏻
haha i sure dont baby any of my bikes or vehicles. I pad a lot of money, im sure going to use it!!! thanks for watching!
😀 Nicely said bro 👍
Beautiful bike! I like what you did to it, the bassani exhaust are amazing .
Thank you! I do love the look of stainless steel!
Love that Bassani! Don't see them much out there! Look forward to the 131 ci upgrade!
SIICKKK looking ride Andrew,,,,I have a 2020 RGS,,,"BLACKED OUT" and I LOVE MINE,,131 built in Idaho,,,,Enjoy!!
Thank you for supporting! I appreciate it. I’m jealous. I can’t wait for the 131!
You can absolutely feel the difference in the rain if you close the lower vents.
Really nice, the look is great with the gold parts and stainless Bassani. I appreciate the money that already went into it, without even doing engine stuff yet!
thank you man!! i appreciate it!
That bike is gorgeous. Love the gold! ❤️So glad Andrew got away from that Street Glide that gave him engine problems on his road trip.
Thank you for watching the channel! Yeah i had bad luck with the SG. But this bike is holding up! 💪🏼
Great 👍 sounding Bike Man 👌!
Thank you sir! 🤙🏼
Sweet setup! Those exhaust sound freaking awesome! Thanks for the video Matt!
Bassani is where its at . BEST sounding exhaust by far, Just like he said.
Awesome video guys! Wicked build! Sounds amazing!
Love that look!! But is there a T-Bar that will permit and medium height man to see the infotainment screen? Losing sight of that would be the only down side for me.
Motorcycles really cool You set it up really well Take care guys
really cool setup " XL Lowrider S!!"
Damn fine bike Man!
I just got a 2015 RG with only 6000miles my first big tourer so much to do to custom it.
Go hard from NZ
Thank you sir!! Right on man, enjoy that RG!!

After owning both two brothers and bassani which do you like more and why?
The bassani for me.... the two bros was nice too, but the certain tone and overall fit and finish to the bassani i liked more.
Nice to see a roadglide splitting lanes🍻 Got a Recommendation for a tuning shop?
Perfect build Andrew - well done.
That’s a badass bike clean build
Andrew you said you put auto tuner on it and before had issues in the mountains, was that after eh exhaust change or before?
When i had that problem. I had the SG with a stage 4 114 with just the street tuner and slip ons. Bike started chugging and coughing up in Yosemite. Threw “front cylinder too lean” codes. Once i came down in elevation it started running better. Soon after got the auto tuned.

S and S 128 kit or Harley 131 kit. What’s ur opinion Matt?
A bar and shield like the CVO has color matched to the bars and wheels would look wicked.
Awesome looking bike. Are those stock handlebars? I have a 2020 LRS and like your set up. I see some guys putting on moto bars but not sure the advantage? any help? Thanks.
What is the model of the Bassani 2-1 exhaust you have? And can it be shipped to SoCa from out of state..
No dealer upcharge
Considering buying a bike at Laidlaw
Bike is awesome & that exhaust sounds wicked.
The guy seems like a legend tbh
Sweet ride, “with more to come!” 👍
Thanks man!!
@@speedpig513 Andrew what grips were you running on this bike?
very nice ! the powdercoated wheels really make it stand out .
Thank you man! I appreciate it!
You didn't mention the saddlebag switch. I'm guessing it was because of the pipe.
Awesome video guys👌what is the rear suspension I couldn’t hear what you said.
It’s a RWD rear suspension set up
Russ Wernimont Designs. Excellent shocks. Cost is around $930 but they are legit.
Yes sir!
So badass, nicely done!!!!!!!!! Looks great and sounds great and seems like it performs great!
Hello Matt... when are the 2021 models launching..?
Love & Peace from Dubai
January / February 2021. H-D delayed the model year launch because of covid mostly
Matt Laidlaw god bless you brother..
Amazing bike! That exhaust is pleasing to the eyes and the ears! 👌 What model of helmet were you wearing, I noticed Matt wears one similar to yours?
Thank you!!! It’s a bell race star flex in carbon fiber
Perfect bike! Congrats Andrew!!!
Thank you for the support! 🙏🏻
Andrew, a bit off topic, but what vest is that with the diamond stitch leather you're wearing on the ride?
It’s a custom made vest handmade in California by Espinozas leather. They are out here in Rosemead CA. The one I’m wearing is a Laidlaws edition. We sell here in our dealership! 🤙🏼
Does the Bassani still have the baffle in it or is it removed? I bought the Bassani because of this video lol.
Where's the vest from?? Looks nice!
Nice bike, good style. How much did he spend to custom like this? I also used to ride Roadglide before and I would like to custom like this later
Love that sound! Taking a new road glide out next week. Just did a Indian challenger review so want to compare. Will see 😆
Well I bought the RGL

what's the difference on that handlebar set up russty ornament vs trashin surplus ?
RWD also has front fork inserts for your bike. Maybe instead of mixing brands, go with Russ Wernimont Designs front and rear?
You make a good point.
I couldn't find them on the RWD website, are they brand new and maybe not released yet?
I bought my RWD front suspension cartridges in Nov 2019 at the initial release. IDK why they’re not on the website. Maybe call or email RWD and ask about availability.

Looks just like a properly tricked out FXDLS!!

This guy’s got taste. Man. Sexy bike... and every single mod he did to it is very choice.
One awesome bike !! Parts list ?
Thank you! I’m running kraus 10” pull back bars, RWD 13” rear shocks, FLHTK rear fender, bassani mid length RR3 in stainless. That’s pretty much it.
Wow that is one beautiful motorcycle. Love the wheels.

Hey Budds . You see the Geelong .
Bogar clip ! Magical
Dont get me wrong ! . Aweet as s cycle ! . Great thing
👍👍 really starting to dig that style with the t-bars or moto bars. Not sure how they would look on my RK standard🤔. Thoughts?

Looks like a low rider with bags and a fairing. Looks skinny too. 🤩 wow
That’s what I thought too.
Cool Road Glide man.
Why Russ Wernimont rear shocks instead of Legend?
Legend makes amazing shocks as well. He would have been happy either way.
5'11" in the morning on a good day🤣 i love the bike brother, don't stress too much, i wish my bike was half as nice
Damn I need that exhaust for my 2020 softail standard 👊🏽
