      Thanks Lis! I like having the photos kind of greeting you while entering the room. You can’t go wrong with any Technics turntable in my opinion. Thanks for watching!

    Very clean and orgainized set up. Great to see what you have and your system, though most of that goes over my head. Love the B&W pictures and poster. Thanks for finally doing this. Steve

    First off, I loved the dogs. Really cute. I really enjoyed the tour. I love all the framed posters of Dylan, Lennon, and the black & white jazz pictures were beautiful. The 45's storage trunks were really cool too. Your wife did good with the pillow covers. Thank you for showing us around. I really enjoyed it.

    • @firstpressinggoodness8329
      @firstpressinggoodness8329  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Melinda! The boxer is mine and the Boston is my wife’s baby! I have a thing for the 45 storage boxes so I pick them up at estate sales. Thanks for watching!

    Very nice room tour Chris. Love those DQ speakers and how you acquired them. The Rock n Roll theatre poster is wicked cool. Outstanding job on the Dodgers pillow....Go Twins! You def got everything covered. Enjoyed immensely!

    You’ve got a really nice set up there my friend!! Your music room bathroom is bigger than my music room! I’m in the UK, so as you know everything is smaller here!! lol!! Thanks for sharing your room with us & I thoroughly enjoyed watching!! 🤘🏻

    "That's where the cat takes a crap" then moved right on with the tour LOL!!! I laughed so freakn' hard lol!! Beautiful dogs. Boxers and Labs are my favorite. Awesome video and setup(s) my friend! Funny into as well getting bombarded by the pups haha! Really love that upstairs music room - it's evident that you took a lot of effort and set that up gradually over time and it looks amazing. Looks like all top notch gear and I have to bet that your records sound amazing coming through those speakers! Thanks for the tour Chris!

    • @firstpressinggoodness8329
      @firstpressinggoodness8329  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Chris! It did take me a while to setup the decor how I wanted it and my wife pretty much painted the entire room for me. I really like the setups I have right now and everything sounds great to me for the time being. That could change at any moment though. Take care my friend.

  • @TheVinylverse
    @TheVinylverse 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I'm not sure I'd ever leave your record room, Chris! You have a good amount of space to handle all of your gear, vinyl and relaxation. I really enjoyed seeing everything. I think you need to start a podcast on how to find the deals you find at estate sales, eBay, cragslist, etc. I have dreams of doing something similar to your jazz pictures if I ever get a bigger space. Right now I have a corner of the play room/office/music room. Thanks for sharing this! Happy 4th of July to you!

    • @firstpressinggoodness8329
      @firstpressinggoodness8329  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I try not to leave either Bill! Vinyl and relaxation go hand in hand for me. I thought about making a video about eBay browsing. Might have to follow through with that. Thanks for watching!

      I was waiting for you to say something about that. We got those at the Disney parks outlet store in Orlando while we were there. I think we're planning a trip back next year probably. God Only Knows is in my top 3 and might be my number 1 as well.

  • @Paneeks1960

    That was fantastic Chris. I actually watched it last night and started to leave you a killer comment. Then I had to run out. I left the tab open so I would not delete my comment but sure enough ex'd out my tab and lost the whole comment. You Tube set it up to save your comment even if you leave the video completely. But you have to do it f~a~s~t enough to make it count/save. Anyways. In short I really dug seeing your system, the Technics SL- 1650 {very cool and for $40 clams? Super} the neon Records light, your 7" collection/cases, your record racks/shelves and the way you do not overcrowd like me and also your whole setup with the layout of the room. I am still in the middle of getting my two rooms together. The clean-out/donate/giveaway/shredding is completely done. The shelve building has been started and the the plans to paint or other is in the process. Hoping that it will have a used record store vibe to it after my cousin builds the digging bins, lighting, etc... If it looks as half as comfortable as your room I will be very happy. Enjoy your 4th Of July Chris. Thanks for giving us the tour. I really enjoyed it~

    Very well thought out arrangement Chris. Love the Dalquists. One of the first pair of affordable quote/unquote “high-end” (or) discerning Audiophile-grade mains that I ever owned... probably back in the late 90’s. And as I mentioned, I think your main turntable is a very nice choice.
    P.S., I’d go with the Nagaoka cart between the two of those. ;-)

      @firstpressinggoodness8329  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I will probably change the Acutex over to the Nagaoka when I get that urge to change something. I wanted these speakers for a while before finding a pair. Take care!

    You need to send me some jazz vclt. Not sure what you like beSides jazz. Love your record room. Nice setup. I like the poster with all the musicians. Neon very nice. JBL are nice too. 1650 turntable is real sweet. I had to get me a Technics SL1200 MK2. It's a beast. It will last for ever and in the past 50 years of record collecting it's my choice. Very nice my friend. You should be proud. Bill Young

    Question for you all.. I have a budget for speaker towers but my listening room is the size of a small living room. Would it be better to go bookshelf speaker so I can push the speakers or go tower that sound very full but probably boom at a small volume? Great room BTW.

    The Japanese know how to make an amp look impressive even if the sound has its limitations, their inbred inherent love for a clean and bright sound. It kicks out 120w at 8 ohms and 170 at 4 ohms, impressive but that is tops so its really nothing special just looks an absolute beast. I would guess the Yamaha sounds better, I love their "Natural" tone
