Jay, I think Josh meant the silver Preds that had a silver dragon on he medial side of the boot. I've always been a Nike guy, but I remember playing Winning Eleven and they had those boots in the game, at a time there wasn't that much boot licensing in video games 😄
I love the way Adidas makes remakes, and I wish Nike would do the same...

@@jamesmccaul2945 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ 😆 The Copa MUNDIAL sits on a COPA 19.1/20.1 Soleplate.....some are saying, go w the COPA 19.1/20.1 Sizing, not the OG Mundial sizing which would be a full size down.
Yes, they made total BLACKOUT & WHITEOUT Copas several years ago as well the Lime Green Samba Copa. Jay-I’m with you on this one. I HATED the long Copa tongue. I’m so glad to see a short tongue version. I cannot wait to get some pairs & play in them. Need to figure out how the sizing run though.

The word soccer always fascinates me. The British invented modern football. They also were the ones who called the sport soccer for a while. So yes! Soccer IS a right way of calling the sport, just not as popular as football. I personally prefer football, because I'm from Brazil and its how we call it there, but I've been living in the US for a while, and got to appreciate the word soccer.
People who get triggered by the word just don't understand or know the history of the sport, which is a shame 😕
Brief explanation on how the word soccer came to be: football was the name of several sports, including rugby, Gaelic football, and association football. So to distinguish each one, they shortened the names and gave them nicknames, if you will. Association Football became soccer = soc (from middle of the word association) + er, which was just a suffix they used to add to words back then.

Growing up in New Zealand in the 80s and 90s we always called it soccer. But In 2007 the NZ Federation switched to calling it football. Either one is fine; it’s still the same great game.
How about a review of the Italian Uno Zero boots?
Gents, I am a middle aged high school soccer coach trying not to look silly or embarrass my players at practice wearing a pair of pink speed boots. Is there a modern football boot that screams “soccer coach” I can get or should I keep wearing my crusty Adidas Nitrocharges. I appreciate this podcast immensely as it helps me stay relevant with the youngsters and current boot culture. Keep it up!

I like the boot and love remakes but wish Adi would have chosen a different colorway. So many great options with the Absolute so despite this being a new one, I feel like it's a bit dull. Since Adi started 1:1 upper remakes in '18 we've only seen 1 red/black/white remake...would have been a good idea here. Please do the all time pred tier list, great idea. Happy Holidays guys!

Mine is:
1) Zinc Tart, R9 Vapor 3
2) Gold Zidane Absolute
3) Any match worn CR7 boot (preferably Vapor 3/4)
Still waiting for them to make a standard Predator. If they had something like the adiPower available for $200, I think those would fly off the shelves.

Question: basically I normally wear a size uk6 but recently I tried on my sisters uk 5.5 boots and they fit so much nicer. I'm thinking of buying a pair of nike junior superfly 7 elites. what are the differences typically between kids elite boots and adult elite boots? and also follow up question would you rather wear a pair of kids boots that fit perfectly or a pair of adult boots that have a tiny bit space in the toe box?

When you are storing a pair of predators is it better to have the tongue strap loose or under the boot like they would be if playing in them?
Loose. They'll keep their shape for longer.
Which soleplate of Predator mutator 20.1 low is better : FG or AG and why ? In my opinion Ag technically looks better with another middle stud and more stable and with a wider spacing of the studs on the heel

I’m rocking a pair of adipure iv’s and I’m in the need of new insoles. Do you guy have any suggestions on where I can get good replacement insoles? Soccer boot insoles are usually thin and light with little bulk and even the regular athletic insoles that I can buy at local stores are to bulky for my liking.
I love my curex cleat pro insoles. They are more low profile than most insoles but add some arch support. Josh did a video on them a few months back.
In a team I think at least 2-3 guys wore them... but I think the swerves looked cooler even tho I was a copa guy!
How does no one mention the CL final special colourway? Worn by Kaka and Gerrard in the Athens final. Black and White with the 'big-ears' on the heel. They were beautiful!
Ive heard that there will be a blackout pair of the Copa released too and an SG pair as well, does anyone know when they'll come out? I really want the white FG pair and a black SG pair
The blackout pair will not be a true blackout. It will have gray stripes I believe. Also, I believe they will release alongside the Predator Freak probably Jan/Feb 2021
Is the copa 20 still good for wide feet like the old school copa mundials?

Need a Powerswerve remake. Best performing Pred of all time IMO. Always go Morelia over Copa and Wave Cup Legend is the best boot of all time IMO.
Hey guys, what are some good non leather/synthetic options for a former tiempo fan who no longer buys leather products? Mainly looking for comfort and a padded touch but most synthetic/knit uppers are too thin. CTR360s would be a perfect option :(

Why have a lot of pro’s ditched the X ghosted and gone back the 19 plus’s (white core black shock pink especially!) some have even swapped to the nemeziz horrible energy colour!!
I think they don’t like the synthetic feel of the ghosted.
It's weird when they choose to do a full size run and when they don't. I can understand it on stuff like the leather predator 20+, but they've done full sizes on remakes before.
Not that I'd be able to get a pair in my size (us12.5/13) unless they're from a scalper anyway. 🙄
Also on buying boots in the US from UK/EU is tough because the currency conversion rate is awful.

The medial side of the Pulse were TERRIBLE compared to the Mania. That’s the part of the foot I used the most...and suddenly it went from plush leather to plastic stripes.

all the hacks ive heard josh mention, ive never seen before. Guys 40+ nearly all wear copas or wear the turf version for their worn out knees. You have guys in the early mid 30s wear them thinking theyre the best but theyve prob not worn more modern stuff like the prem 2s ... or take down copas

@@justinchen5620 the Nemeziz .1’s are way more comfortable than the ghosted x but I like them both for different things but because of the comfort I do like the Nemziz a touch more.
Regarding the nostalgic gimmicky features...Josh wants to have the same naive and positive outlook he had as a kid. I feel that about most things in life. 🤣
