It’s a chant/song. They sing it because it’s popular, not against the French, but the Colombian team was similar to what they experienced in the last cup with France. In all matches, there are songs like this. Another popular song or chant goes, "And now you stand, and now you stand, if you don’t jump, you’re an English man.” This is sung while jumping and cheering in the stadiums. The nationality can be changed to that of the opposing country. This chant originated when the match against the English was won. In Argentina, football fans sing popular chants that emerged from victories over other nations in past championships. There’s the chant against the English after Maradona’s World Cup, and another against the French from the last World Cup. The creators of these chants always use the nationality, with France they wanted to be realistic/humorous, and it ended up being called racist. But the chants have become viral and popular. Argentina takes pride in its national team, which truly represents its people. This doesn’t mean being against foreigners. Many believe it’s a positive trait to have a true National Identity, because other nations like France they started judging Argentina for not having any african players on their team, basically for having its own identity and a “white team” but they don’t judge the Asian/African teams for being like that. So Argentina replied, they’re “full or foreigners”. The songs are stadium chants. They are created by the "barra brava” heavy football fans. It's a crazy environment, so don't expect flowers coming from heavy football fans and passionate people. There's nothing the lyrics say that isn't true. The people on the French team are African descendants. What's racist about that? There are no derogatory terms in the song. I think the French society is very broken if you are sensible because of a chant, but you have colonies in Africa and it’s racist if they can only say “white”, but ban the word Africa and their nationality/demonym. Argentina is not racist. They have fans all over the world, even supporters in India and Bangladesh, they visited them, Messi played for the French, and the French treated him badly, they donate, and they do so many things for football in Africa you will see the Argentine football shirt being the most common.. yet they want to call Argentina racist. The intention at the time was to have fun or celebrate, not to be intentionally racist or against other players. These popular songs are hard to eradicate because they are ingrained like the national anthem. Many don’t understand the lyrics’ meaning. Argentina's social construction regarding ethnicity is very lenient, and referring to someone by their color or origin is common, even as a nickname. You can call a friend “darkey/blacky,” “turk” for a turkish or arab, “Chinese” if you are or you look asian, “English,” “Polish/pole,” “Frenchie,” “viking” because of your surname/origins and it will be seen as a short or sweet nickname. Even if you are from other province or state, they will always use your origins or demonym as your nickname. Due to the lack of foreigners or a significant presence of African or other ethnic groups, this behaviour is seen as normal, though those abroad may perceive it as harsh and racist. I sincerely apologise. I have to say that Argentine humor is similar to Italian and German humor. It’s heavy, realistic, harsh, and straight to the point. If you don't like it, that's your problem. Most people don't take it seriously, they laugh, and it's better if you take it in stride. Because the intention will never be racist. It has a meaning and reason behind it. They sang it because it was a popular chant, they were not thinking about the lyrics. You want to report? Report it. You want to call it racism? Call it racism, but the french were and are the first to be racist, xenophobic, and exploit others, including the Africans. Meloni said it, the solution is not to take Africans and bring them to Europe, the solution is to free Africa from certain Europeans like the French who exploit them and later take pride of it. We cannot tolerate a claim like this against a football chant.. coming from a country like France. The one that just denied their independence and that still exploits and has colonies in Africa. Lol. Edit: For those who said Argentina doesn’t have native culture. The vast majority of the Argentine team are lower-class people, that came from the streets, and they aren’t considered white. They are clearly mixed. Stop saying that. It may be true that many groups are minorities, yet their culture is still part of our national traditions, and they live on in many ways. If we’re going to talk about original Argentines, could the French start by returning the remains of our natives from Patagonia that they have in their Natural History Museum in Paris? Merci! 19th-century French explorer, Count Henry de la Vaulx. If it were up to them, they would still want to have the Kingdom of Araucania and Patagonia. I'm glad Mbappe is in Spain, they appreciate him more than the French themselves do. And his Spanish is GREAT!

They are football players mate, it's not their job to fix our country, and as argentinians citizens their job is to vote and i'm sure that they did. And we not only make fun of France about this fact, we also make fun of countries like Mexico and Chile. Mexico needed to pick the argentine players Rogelio Funes Mori and Santiago Jimenez because they couldn't find mexican born forwards for their National Team. Chile picked Ben Brereton an english player for their National Team, because Chile is suffering a football crisis and they are lacking quality players. For example, i'm a River Plate fan and we usually insult and we make fun of Boca Juniors in our chants, even when we aren't playing against them. We could be playing against any other team, and we still going to make fun about our "enemy". It's part of our identity, we sing against Boca Juniors even when we aren't playing against them because it's part of the identity of River Plate, we sing about the things that makes us different from them... And Boca Juniors does the same against us! When we as argentines sing this kind of songs against our rivals, in this case France, we are saying "We are not like you, we are better because - Insert Reason Why". In that chant we are basically saying: We don't need to nationalize players from another country to actually have a good squad, we as argentines are good enough and our country is superior because we actually produce world class players for our team. But take it as a joke, it doesn't mean it's actually true. The football chants that we sing usually take something that's in fact true, and we twist it to fit our narrative, because we want to make our rivals angry.

First of all, we have many players of African descent, but the racist chant wrongly assumed the entire French team is from Angola. Here are some key white players not of French descent: Antoine Griezmann is of Portuguese and German descent. Lucas Hernandez is of Spanish descent. Hugo Lloris, our captain, is of Catalan descent. Lucas Digne has Italian ancestry. Adrien Rabiot is of Polish descent. These examples show our team's diversity beyond African descent. It's important to recognize and respect this multicultural nature, as such racist chants undermine the spirit of the sport.

@LibertyU.S.A.-xf3yd This is typical from Argentina. That is why they are the most hated country in South America. No class or good upbringing.
it was a chant made up during the world cup 2022 versus the african-french team
Merci!

Our chants usually talk about beating and making fun of our rivals, even if we aren't playing about them. I obviously wasn't on the bus with the players, but once the chanting starts it can go anywhere, I don't know how to explain it but it spreads like a wildfire.

In France, black people face discrimination, except if they are good at football. This issue plus Mbappe's phrase before World Cup 2022 saying that South-America Football wasn´t good enough, inspired some hooligans to point out this in a song. The Argentina Football Association is monitoring every chant all the time to avoid bad influences. The issue here is ignorance and the lack of education mixed with the violent culture inside the hooligans that enjoy saying bad things to opposite teams in chants. In their ignorance, they are trying to say"You France have to import a lot of talent to succeed" Here Fernandez acted as a hooligan, repeating that chant, I guess under the influence of alcohol. Enzo quickly recognized his misconduct.
In Argentina, different cultures live together in peace. There is no violence based on culture, race, or religion. We all live in peace here without complaints. We are the most migrant-open country in the world as the result of a mix of various cultures. Racist people are a super tiny minority that luckily remains silent.

But since i dont really know about history from that part of the world. I agree with the sanction part from fifa because of the bad example and mesage they gave. There are no excuses for that, they should be professionals.
But to judge argentine chants wich are truly united to the complex relationship with the barrabravas, and the hate culture on our football. Its ignore a lot of things.
You might find racist chants on all south america.
The point is that would be appropiate to punish such stupid actions, but also to learn more about how the racial thing is not that controversial around the world. Not because we are 45millions of nazis, but because of how in south america the integration of black people happened succesfully at certain point.

Sorry for the bad english. And of course if somebody is wondering. Nobody of our players it s an ultra right natonalist. They are just dumb, and its quite the fun of insult trought chants. Im not defending it. Its just how the thing stills going at lot of places in here. To insult with something that might hurt to the rivals.
@@NahuelAgustinPacheco the reason why a colonial country would have players from African descent it’s because they know those players are better then their own French players that they have so they pick those who is born in the country or those with citizenship so they can win it’s bussiness at the end of the colonial countries still exploit Africa till this day in cluding in futebol ⚽️ Germany does the same Belgium does the same Portugal does the same Spain does the same alot of European countries still exploit talents from other countries maily players from African descent for their benefit because they made an investment in those players so business wise I understand why they would want to keep those players to play for their country instead u gotta look at it a business instead of just patriotic player playing for the county it’s a business at the end of the day there are billions dollars being moved around yearly
So left wingers are allowed their views but right wingers can't

Because of his mouth
Bruh i wasnt even suprised they did that, if u look into the histroy of country agentina, its dwells in racism.
I guess Frencj history is a song of tolerance then, right?
Genocide, slavery, colonialism and Le Pen. France still has colonies on South America.
