Time to go big! In today’s episode, we take your requests and make it a reality. Make a huge FT Retro Rocket and see how much power it can take.
The beautiful thing about foamboard is you are only limited by your imagination. Using the same techniques as our smaller FT Retro Rocket, Josh designs a monster version that can go from mild to wild. As they put this new giant plane to the test, they step up both the power systems and push the envelope of this new design to the limit. Will it’s simple construction handle over 25 pounds of EDF thrust? One way to find out!

This design will be the first monster series made available to the public to outfit in any configuration they want and bring smiles to the faces of all those around them. I was thinking the same thing! A little curl on the wings and it would be perfect.
I was going to say it was a "stubby" Phantom, but I've seen cartoon Phantoms drawn similar to that look in the past. FliteTest needs to build a dual EDF version with drooped horizontal stabs.

Retracts - yes! Not sure of the sizes but for the master's series and for the mighty mini planes for sure. I just finished the skyfx t-28 and I instantly wished it had retractable gear.
Yeah! Would love to see y’all carry retracts. That would be another source for those items. The hobby industry has condensed so much and older guys like myself look for reliable shops for stuff!
I think landing and taking off using landing gear are 2/3rds of the fun flying RC. Any build for me would include retractable for most of the builds but at a minimum fixed landing gear. So a BIG PLUS ONE for LG.

I have a request for the next MTO monster. The Scout is my all time favorite FT plane. I’ve done all three sizes, Mini, Simple, and XL. I’d love to have a Monster Scout that uses that 4030 motor and 4-6 cells. Especially now that you have the design for the XL so that the wings are removable. Please, please, PLEASE!

I have figured out this thing looks like! Remember the submarine launched interceptor from the show 'UFO' , from the 70's? THAT'S WHAT THIS PLANE LOOKS LIKE!
This is my favorite build from you guys. I can't wait to build the big one with an actual thrust venturing EDF. I have a spare Flex Innovations Flex Jet thrust vectoring unit and the Flex flight controller. All I need is a 10s 90mm EDF to attach to the Thrust vectoring Nozzle. I bet it will hover just like my Flex innovations Flex Jet hovers if I keep the build light. I'm stupendously excited.

You should do the second Monster Retro Rocket up as the Blue Angel's F4 and have them fly together.

I think you should build a SUPER supersized Kraken and power it with a couple of monster EDF motors with differential thrust but try mounting the EDFs far out on the wings for the maximum offset in thrust

Great Video Guys. One comment...I'm sure you know this but from my experience roughing up the area of glue joints on CF makes a big improvement to strength! Especially when making fillet type glue joints. Keep it up! Watch all your content I can.
What we really need now, is a video of your Giant Retro Rocket flying in formation with Tyler Perry's new giant C-17 Globemaster model...

It reminds me a lot of Sky 1 from the 70s UK tv show 'UFO' . I know someone tried to build a flying model,but couldn't pull it off.

I am completely green in research stage and I’m plan on getting into this exciting hobby any suggestions on a very fun build ? I can’t seem to decide what my first project should be . I plan on 3D printing my parts . Or should I build with foam ? I’m having a decision issue

Well, I have no idea why TH-cam thought I needed to see this but it was definitely a lot of fun. I didn't even roll my eyes too hard at "5200 milliamps" (which is presumably amp-hours and not actual amps?) because I know that the idiotic redundancy of "one thousand thousandths" is how LiPos are marketed.
The sponsor segments were pretty smoothly inserted too; I appreciate a video that is well made *as a video* and not just an insight into a hobby. Although I confess I did guffaw a bit at the pronunciation of "mocha" as "mow-cha." But that's just more ammunition for my argument that English needs to lose the letter "c".
Intro shot reminds me of the zorgon spaceship from the Zathura movie. After googling what that looked like it's only loosely similar but thanks for the nostalgia 😊
