I removed the drip tray before the cycle was complete. Thanks to you it only took 2 seconds to reset. Back to making great coffee. Your video was a great help. Thanks

There was a problem with the brewing unit not being installed after cleaning, but there was no solution in korean videos so I couldn't use more than 3weeks!!!!! OMG...thanks. I had an Anima but this helped me so much. I spent way too much time trying to solve this on my own. I would have never figured out that one upper sensors or even that I could remove the water line portion of the brew unit.

@@Wholelattelovepage thank you so much! This helped and I made progress. Now I am unable to get any water out of the coffee dispenser. No issues with water coming out of hot water faucet. Coffee beans grinds fine and brewing system seems to do its job but no coffee comes out of the center heads. I see coffee grounds in the try with extra water to throw away, but no coffee. Even Descaling Process does not throw water out of center heads (only hot water faucet).

I put some pre-ground coffee in my Gaggia Anima but only fairly clear water comes out as though there are no grinds in there. The whole bean function works perfectly. Help!
Hi d, What type of pre-ground coffee were you using in the bypass doser? Pre-ground used in the machine must be intended for making espresso. Coffee ground for drip brewing is too coarse and will produce weak and watery results. Coffee ground for espresso brewing is very fine. It's fairly powdery and similar to table salt in particle size. In our gaggia some of the milled coffee is falling to the right of the group. Possibly during the press stage ..can you suggest how to solve this? It looks like a fresh coffee that did not go even to the press stage.
Hi a, Some minor spilling is normal from time to time. If excessive, it's likely the machine is grinding too much coffee. You can try reducing the coffee strength setting which results in less coffee being ground. There are potential other causes which require a deeper diagnoses. MARK, please address the issue of the advanced PID setting on the Rocket Mozzafiato or Giotto, I know many people who don’t know how to set the default settings in the advanced PID if they accidentally mess with it!! Thanks
Hi Casey, Thanks for the request. We have considered doing that but made the decision not to get into the advanced settings. Once we show how to get there some people will go in and screw it up. Then machines don't work right, customers get unhappy and we get more calls on our phone support lines. It opens a hornet's nest of issues so we try and prevent folks from messing with it to begin with. We do have the info available via email and phone support. Marc

Hi Mark, Had my machine for 7 years, great machine but in the last few days, it doesnt seem to be releasing water correctly when making an espresso. If your machine is otherwise functioning normally it may be the dispensing spouts are partially clogged. Hey Marc, thank you for your awesome reply. Is there anyway to check how many drink we have had through the machine. We basically have a minimum of 2 to 4 per day and that's easily quadrupled over the weekends during BBQ's etc maybe even more. 7 years not a single issue. Been very happy with this lil Machine.

what if the spindle doesn’t rotate back into the right position? tried this and still can’t get the brew in - the spindle is in the wrong position after tricking the machine anyways - is there any other option?
Yes you can. On the Gaggia Anima, simply press and hold the Espresso Lungo button until it starts brewing and you receive the MEMO icon on the screen. Let the coffee brew as normal and then press the Aroma Strength / Checkmark button when you have your desired amount. It will now brew that programmed amount every time you brew a Lungo until the next time you program it.

Hello!!! I would like to ask a question please. I have a saeco picobaristo Deluxe model number 5572. Recently I changed the old brew group with a new. After working properly for couple of days (and drinking amazing coffee), the brew group get popped out of the maschine during grinding . Until now I tried clean, I placed back the old brew group and still I have the same results! Please help if you can :/
Hi V, That's strange! Are you sure the brew group was fully in place? You might try thoroughly cleaning the tracks and mounting are of the group. It should latch in place.

I have called the official service of Philip's and they gave me the following answer regarding the issue I was faced with. At some point Philip's changed the black rotating gear on the maschine,that turns the brew group with slightly bigger one. So brand new brew group + old maschine= catastrophe. When I placed the order for the original brew group I wasn't informed that the gear had also to be changed, and as far as i know no one is getting informed. Thank you again for the video and the reply and if you can cross reference this information maybe you can spread the word out there!!! ( V= Vasiliki, I bet now it sounds even stranger 😋)
THANKS Mark! my Philips 3200 LatteGo makes ONE latte just fine, and from then on the hot water isn't sent to the milk container (to froth it), but instead it gets jetted out into the cavity behind where the brew unit sits, ( I assume that little cup on the side of the brew unit isn't being sent up into the steam wand... ) and all that steam rises up and out of the top of the machine and all the water goes into the drip tray. I found that if I remove the grinds catch bowl and front cover, I can trick the unit into thinking that the catch bowl is still in place if I hold a screwdriver upwards and press that momentary switch; then the machine runs fine and makes a latte. Why does it make the 1st latte and then fail? My catch bowl seems to be inserted all the way and have no problems... no error codes; Ever seen such a problem?
I just received my Gaggia Anima Prestige, made some coffee (10 cups), and then got a error icon that is "Coffee Grounds Drawer Full". What is the fix for this?
Hi Suzzane, That's not really an error but a maintenance alert telling you to empty the coffee grounds drawer. To clear the message remove the used coffee drawer, empty it and replace in the machine. Be sure and do this with the machine's power turned on or the machine will not register emptying of the used coffee.
mine is a talea giro. I've done this trick inserting the paper (over and over again) but did not work. the warning light just cycles from dreg cleaning light to decalsify light. the gear doesn't turn so the brew unit can't go in. of course, previously I can't pull out the brew unit and found a way to unscrew something etc. so i was able to pull it out.
Hi e, I have not worked with that Saeco machine for many years. It's possible you are missing tricking out another sensor to get the gear to turn. Another possibility is your brew unit is not in the home position prior to your attempt to insert.

Hi, here's what to do: To get out of Demo Mode, just power cycle it fully from the back. When pressing front power button DO NOT HOLD!!! Just press and release. NOTE: Keeping the STAND-BY button pressed for over 8 seconds causes the DEMO MODE function to start. The ONLY time this is a problem is if the standby button is stuck. Causing it to always be pressed in.

Mark, what about the reverse problem where the brew unit is stuck inside and we can't get it OUT. I also sent in a ticket but they keep telling me my login info is wrong. So I can't call and I can't work on my ticket. Desperate in California.
Hi Jan, Sorry you are having issues. I did reach out to our customer service and they should be in touch shortly. In the meantime, I have a video showing how to remove a stuck group. It's demonstrated on a Gaggia Brera machine but procedure should be similar on the Anima. Video shows the entire procedure which is fairly straightforward. Fix could be as simple as power cycling the machine. If that does not do the trick there's one screw to remove. All that is demonstrated in the video: th-cam.com/video/KxcZzpyu4Fw/w-d-xo.html
@@Wholelattelovepage would you know of a part number to rebuild the spout or o-ring kit for the output dispenser and panorama wand seals? The machine with basic maintenance is 5 years old and the dispenser nozzles are a bit clogged.
I was going to try to muscle that tray that puck tray I was going to try to muscle it back in and pry it back in and I thought you know what maybe I'll save myself $180 and just see if there's a TH-cam video sure enough. And being an engineer I should know the answer to these things It's not a simple as it seems
Hi, please help me solve my problem with my coffee machine. I can not get a good coffee not with one wall filter basket and not with two walls filter basket. I changed all the sizes for a grind and a burr and did not change the taste,color and consistency. The coffee flow is fast and no coffee cream. I changed the grinding from fine to large and no changes,it doesn't even look like your coffee.

I did as you said but the drum doesn’t reset. The symbols keeps flashing back and forth as before.

@@Wholelattelovepage the brew unit is in the home position. it's really the "unmoving" gear that's preventing the brew unit from being inserted. thanks. i'm off to the repair shop tomorrow. haha.

Descaled my Gaggia Anima and it is now stuck in demo mode. Please Help!
Hi, here's what to do:
To get out of Demo Mode, just power cycle it fully from the back.
When pressing front power button DO NOT HOLD!!! Just press and release.
NOTE: Keeping the STAND-BY button pressed for over 8 seconds causes the DEMO MODE function to start.
The ONLY time this is a problem is if the standby button is stuck. Causing it to always be pressed in.
@@Wholelattelovepage thank you for your reply. the power button off/on didn't quite work for me either. eventually, I got it done by unplugging the the power cord and quickly plugging it back in

Mark, what about the reverse problem where the brew unit is stuck inside and we can't get it OUT. I also sent in a ticket but they keep telling me my login info is wrong. So I can't call and I can't work on my ticket.

Hi Jan, Sorry you are having issues. I did reach out to our customer service and they should be in touch shortly. In the meantime, I have a video showing how to remove a stuck group. It's demonstrated on a Gaggia Brera machine but procedure should be similar on the Anima. Video shows the entire procedure which is fairly straightforward. Fix could be as simple as power cycling the machine. If that does not do the trick there's one screw to remove. All that is demonstrated in the video: th-cam.com/video/KxcZzpyu4Fw/w-d-xo.html

@@Wholelattelovepage would you know of a part number to rebuild the spout or o-ring kit for the output dispenser and panorama wand seals? The machine with basic maintenance is 5 years old and the dispenser nozzles are a bit clogged.
I was going to try to muscle that tray that puck tray I was going to try to muscle it back in and pry it back in and I thought you know what maybe I'll save myself $180 and just see if there's a TH-cam video sure enough. And being an engineer I should know the answer to these things It's not a simple as it seems

Hi, please help me solve my problem with my coffee machine. I can not get a good coffee not with one wall filter basket and not with two walls filter basket. I changed all the sizes for a grind and a burr and did not change the taste,color and consistency. The coffee flow is fast and no coffee cream. I changed the grinding from fine to large and no changes,it doesn't even look like your coffee.
Hi st, Thanks for the question. But I don't have much to go on to offer advice. Don't know what type of machine or grinder you are using. I can say it all starts with the grind.
