I am new to sublimation and I picked up one of my cotton shirts by accident and sublimated on it. Well of course it looked very light and I knew as soon as I put it in the wash it was going to fade even more. So I printed out the same image on parchment paper and used the powder and put the printed parchment paper over the sublimated design already on the shirt and was able to see through the parchment paper to line it up perfectly and bam, it worked great so I didn't ruin the shirt. Love your videos
I am so glad I found this video! I tried with transfer film and my prints through my sawgrass kept smudging. I was going to give up, tried parchment and absolute perfection! I will never use film again!
You are so welcome! yes I have seen epson users removing the roller or using a piece of card board on top of the piece the grabs the film as it comes out to keep it flat there is lots of hacks on TikTok search epson DTF hack
Lady, you are the bees knees with all of your testing. I'm hitting the subscribe button because you are superior in what you do. Thanks for sharing your gift.
Yeah she be on point, because I was just thinking the day I said well what's so special about this transfer paper? Now we just need to figure out how to make the powder😅😅😅😅
I tried this hack finally (however I've never used DTF power). It does work but I wasn't expecting the texture on the shirt to feel like vinyl. I guess it's OK. Pretty freaking cool hack overall.
I would love to see the screen print version of this as well.. Thank You CrystalAnn for showing Us all these wonderful dupes and hacks. Its nice to see them done before we go an invest in all the supplies and it then be a fail.... I love all your videos
Crystal Ann I did the parchment paper DTF and I like it better than the actual DTF film! The gray tshirts are all DTF with parchment and the white one is Sublimation. Thank you!!!
❤Oh my. I’m very new to sublimation. And have been watching & learning everything I can about this craft! And I must admit I love it! I was actually looking to see if I could sublimate on a pair of croc I just purchased! Yes I can. And then I found you & you are awesome! The DTF Hack blew me away! Thank you for sharing. 🤗Looking forward to watching more of your videos. ✌️
Good morning, Crystal, I saw someone else do this hack on parchment paper as well. It worked beautifully!!! That’s a clean release!!! Thanks for reminding me about the parchment paper hack. It’s all in the powder, and I have lots of it that someone purchased and apparently returned. My friend purchased a dozen containers of BRAND NEW from the Amazon storefront that sells returns!!! Best day ever for my DTF HACK! I’m glad my friend looked out for me while on the hunt for things to sell on eBay! Great job, Crystal!!!
Thank you so much! I just ordered film this morning from amazon but was able to cancel that and order the parchment paper! Much better value - and I wanted to do larger prints anyway!
@@YouCanTotallyMakeThat wow i'm getting a used sublimation printer tonight and in the uk baking paper that's the same I think, so, can I ask 1. can you use this on dark cotton fabrics and 2. can you cure the paper and save it to press at a later date ??? I am so curious to find out this and super super excited to try it
Crystal Ann, First I want to say thank you for the heating the dtf film hack with an electric griddle it worked amazingly well, I also have a canon pro 200 printer wich I will test the parchment paper prints to try and save money on film at least for my light garment t shirts. All my other prints are fine with my procolored printer.Cant thank you enough.
OMG I figured it out in 2015, except used the wood instead. Never use any powder or heat press. Used my credit card to rub on like repeatedly. It looks so awesome!! Learned a lesson was that after printed an image then I walked across the hallway, it dried the printed sheet. So I had to print for second time, brought my wood sign with me, just next to the printer. Once printed, then put it on wood, rubbed like medium, not too rough. BOOOOM!! Big black, adorable mustache!!😊😊😊
I used the same settings I normally use for my sawgrass polyester ,and tru pix classic paper. I have seen others that have an Epson have success but I'm not sure what settings they used ❤️
This is amazing. I’m a newbie to all this and am excited to learn. I have a new inkjet printer. I’ll watch the tutorial for that, but I have to know if it turned out as well as this one.
CrystalAnn....I sooo want a DTF printer, but for now, I’m gonna try your inkjet hack...my question is, Can you print photos and use the powder? Thanks...love all your ideas😊
You and your videos are awesome. Is there a way to do this same dupe on darker shirts? I have a sublimation printer so that's what I will be using. I appreciate any suggestions, you may already have a video about this. Thank you.

Is there any way to do this on darker colors without using a vinyl base or a dtf/white toner printer? Love this for light colored cotton products, now we just need someone to figure out a hack for the darker colors 😉
I keep getting roller lines on my prints, why? I turned off fast printing and turned on thick paper. Did all the tricks and still printing roller lines

@shuntiasims9032 If you're putting your paper in a tray, you would put the parchment paper face UP. Be careful, though, because your paper may jam in your printer. I've never put my paper in my tray. I have a rear loading slot on my printer. It works great, so far. Good luck.

Yes you can pre press your wood first to pull out any moisture
Did you bake the sheet before pressing sheet on the shirt???
WOW! Mind blown!
yay!! 😀
How did this look after you washed it?
Amazing this shirt has been washed tons and still looks new
Question, Will you press it again for 15 sec to seal it?
Good question
You can I usually do that to smooth out for 5 seconds. You don't have to with this one its so smooth
should you be using mask or filter when heating up powder. i have heard once powder is heated its toxic.
I answered your same question on another video please see your notifications.
The room needs to be well ventilated. I cure mine outside in the garage with the door open and I wear a mask. I don't want to take any chances inhaling the fumes.
Can you cure the parchment paper to save for later like the dtf film?
Are you printing on the wax side?
Yes 🙌 mini is double sided but if you have one side with wax print on the wax side
Can you do this with black garments or any other dark color especially black though???
You can layer it on top of white HTV to get it to show up on black
Do you flip the design on print it like you would print a dark T-shirt transfer?
yes you do
Since it pulls the wax off the parchment paper, how does it wash?
amazing no issues at all
