    I am new to sublimation and I picked up one of my cotton shirts by accident and sublimated on it. Well of course it looked very light and I knew as soon as I put it in the wash it was going to fade even more. So I printed out the same image on parchment paper and used the powder and put the printed parchment paper over the sublimated design already on the shirt and was able to see through the parchment paper to line it up perfectly and bam, it worked great so I didn't ruin the shirt. Love your videos

    OMG I figured it out in 2015, except used the wood instead. Never use any powder or heat press. Used my credit card to rub on like repeatedly. It looks so awesome!! Learned a lesson was that after printed an image then I walked across the hallway, it dried the printed sheet. So I had to print for second time, brought my wood sign with me, just next to the printer. Once printed, then put it on wood, rubbed like medium, not too rough. BOOOOM!! Big black, adorable mustache!!😊😊😊

    So... This is kind of amazing. Do you mind if I ask a few questions?
    1. This will work with any sublimation printer, correct? The Sawgrass SG500 | SG1000 print heads are similar to an inkjet and other sublimation printers.
    2. Is there a reason for not curing the print? I'm assuming you can't cure it because it will melt the parchment paper wax, correct? Have you tried curing the print?
    3. I've read your comments and you say the print hold up well to washing, and you have washed that hoodie several time for your daughter. Could you please make a video showing the washed hoodie?
    Thank you for your reply in advance.

      Thank you and questions are always welcome! 1. that is correct each printer is different so you may have to change up how you print for example some people are saying they print direct to the parchment with out having to tape it to paper. 2. Since it's a hack you don't need to cure it. curing melts the powder to allow you to store or ship them. Yes you can still cure with the parchment paper as it's made for high heat. 3. I will get the shirt from my daughter and do an updated short video. Hope this helps

    • @OneLastMidnight
      @OneLastMidnight ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@YouCanTotallyMakeThat Thanks for replying. Interesting, I thought the hack was using the parchment paper. Not curing the paper seems like it might cause too many issues with placement and wasted garments, or time if you can completely remove it ink and save the garment. Regardless, I will give the parchment paper a try. If it really works as you showed it will save a ton of money.

    • @YouCanTotallyMakeThat
      @YouCanTotallyMakeThat  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@OneLastMidnight Your welcome. I get your concern if you don't cure it yes you do have to make sure you place it down one time so you don't shift the powder. Lots of people like to cure for the extra security and that's totally optional for the hack. happy Crafting

    Oh my gosh i tried the hack on regular print paper and cardstock as the carrier but both ways came out faded. Used the powder cured and one not cured l, not cured came out a little darker. I know my computer is about 7 years old HP 8710 All In OneThe look i noticed was it looked as if it was printed as a draft. I used the Parchment paper from dollar tree. Im waiting on my dtf film to arrive. Thanks for the video and your knowledge.

      @YouCanTotallyMakeThat an update on the DTF hack... I used the DTF transfers from yamation and the print came out so vibrant and colorful but it only shows real good on white but when I tried it on dark the image came out really dark almost like a black. Also I believe the parchment paper that I used may have been the problem. Two questions.
    1. The DTF a powder you linked in this post says it’s for dark colored shirts. Does that really matter, or is it usable on light colors as well?
    2. What’s the difference in printing on parchment paper vs regular copy paper? If regular copy paper works as good, wouldn’t it be the cheaper option?
    Thanks! I’m genuinely curious of this.

    • @YouCanTotallyMakeThat

      The DTF powder is for light and medium colors not sure why it says that lol as for the parchment paper its cheaper and has a better release you can't use paper because the powder would melt to it
