  • iOS17 has recently allowed the iPad to work as a monitor with a basic capture card, rendering the Accsoon Seemo possibly obsolete? Today I take a quick second to show you this capture card from Kondor Blue and the benefits of using a capture card with your iPad over the Accsoon Seemo and Monitor+
    We have a channel goal of reaching 1,000 subscribers by the end of 2023, and we're a little over halfway there. I'd love if you would join along!
    Check out the Capture Card Here: kondorblue.com/collections/hd...
    Special shoutout to @HARDISEASY for commenting on a past video and opening up this can of worms for me to research and get to the bottom of.

    I got mine set up with parts from online shopping at SGD17 .. mini hdmi to hdmi cable, usb video capture card, type c otg adapter & a cold shoe phone holder .. not professional or anything but it works very smoothly.

    I just got my ipad gonna test all of this - sould work if you plug all to usbc ucbc hub: camera control cable and dhmi capture card and even the power input into the hub, and then hub into ipad.
    Alternatively you can just plug usbc control cable to ipad and it will work but lower resolution and no power

      Oh yeah, this setup should work just fine with an HDMI + USBC dongle to add power to the system. The USB-C cable directly into monitor+ is alright, but you're right - lower resolution and you're limited to the length of a USB-C cable, where HDMI can travel much further and easily be converted to wireless.

    Hey Ross , really nice video! I was wondering if I could help you enhance Editing in your videos and also make a highly engaging Thumbnail which will help your video to reach to a wider audience ?

      I appreciate the comment! But, until this channel is monetized it doesn't make sense throwing additional resources into the editing process. For the time being I'll handle it all myself.

    My man, skip that capture card and plug the iPhone 15 directly into a Sony camera with USB-C and the monitor+ app.
    Monitor+ updated the app earlier this year to plug in directly to usb c android phones. And now that the iPhone 15 has usb c also it works with that too.

      Dang, good call! I should have added that option into the comparison.

      Would this work if my iPhone 15 pro max is my camera and I use my iPad Pro (M1) as my monitor?

    • @mirrorlessmemory
      @mirrorlessmemory 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@paulleon6057 no the app only recognizes newer Sony cameras on their comparability list. It only uses the iPhone to monitor what the Sony camera sees.

    is there 6mm spare to squeeze this charger in? Cygnett MagCharge Magnetic Wireless Charging Cable or any other ultra slim charger

    • @RossBarnett02

      If working with an iPhone 15, then wireless charging could definitely be an option. I don’t think that would be a solution working with an iPad though.

    how would you use a gopro 10 with a iphone as monitor because with the quik app everytime you press record on the camera it wont allow you monitor on the iphone what you record

    Trying to figure out if this is possible with an RX100 vii and an iPad mini 6 and a hyper drive adapter/dongle, but no luck with the monitor+ app. Is there another app I could try maybe?

    • @RossBarnett02
      @RossBarnett02  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I may be wrong, but I don’t believe it’s possible with your setup. I think your only option would be to use the monitor+ app via wifi. Or, get an iPad with usb-c. I think the lightning port on the iPad mini 6 doesn’t allow for video-in. Regardless of the app or type of dongle used.

      Oh man, so many factors come into play here. What model iPhone? Also - what app are you using on iPhone? Monitor+?
      There’s a few tests you can do - first - I’d plug the hdmi into a regular TV/monitor to make sure the HDMI out is setup properly. Next, double check your iPhone model is supported on Monitor+ website. I’ve unfortunately never used this setup with iPhone, only with a USB-C iPad.

      Does the Pod Mic sound bad because I’m holding it or does the PodMic just sound bad in general? Either way, I hear you. This Rode Pod mic doesn’t stand a chance against my typical NTG5 setup. But, 5x the price..
