  • The Accsoon SeeMoo is the first device to let you use your iOS device with an HDMI input so they can be used as monitors. Whilst this is a sponsored video on the Accsoon SeeMo, it's still a review in its content as I cover all the pros and cons of it as well as show you solutions for some of the limitations.
Android users have been able to do this for a while, but Apple keeps their hardware and software locked down, so it's great to finally be able to do this.

I had a important livestream cut off because my phone died middle of the even when I use this unit. I will hold you for lying and the company for liability. either you didn't test this unit peppery or lied intentionally.

It would be nice if the camera manufacturers just put that tech in their cameras so we just go usb out of the camera body to the phone, bypassing the need for an external converter and extra cables and batteries. Similar to how we use mobile devices with drones. Although each brand would want to have their own silly app for their cameras instead of using one good universal one.

How does this compare to Monitor+ app connected over USB C to USB C on a Sony A7IV? Is the latency the same? I find that the Monitor+ app lets you hit the trigger button in the app and the file is saved on your device as well as internally on the camera, which is great to send clients unprocessed files from your phone, but I haven’t been able to do this on the Accsoon Seemo the same way. The setup is lighter too with the Monitor+ app as you can connect a single cable or connect wirelessly. He was so pissed but then realized how much better the scene played out. thats probably where Spielberg got the idea for that line in "Super 8". about the product, they should investigate trying to use the iPhones LIDAR for autofocus for cinema cameras.
