Great video 👍 Just one more issue that I had with the app and took me some time to get the source of the problem: When using my old Weebill-S with my A7III, the connection was sometimes working sometimes not... I discovered that the problem was that connection was impossible if my camera was connected first to the gimbal through the Mini-USB port (which I use for REC button and charging). Little workaround: Unplug the mini-USB port, then plus the USB-C to the phone first, and replug the mini-USB... Annoyying but it works 👍
I have a sony a6300 and a samsung galaxy tab a8, it connects but the screen says no signal and it only lets me use the rec, iso, etc functions but no image do you have any idea what might be the reason or what do you recommend ?
Hello. You can try a few things. Change the video to photo mode or the other way around on the camera, make sure the firmware is up to date on the camera, make sure you have the latest app version - there were some issuse before with the app versions. Hello. You have to set this in camera under PC Remote Settings. Choose Still Image Save Destination: PC+Camera. My biggest problem with Monitor+ is the constant wireless reconnecting requiring a code or a QR. Is there any way to bypass this process and just have them connect whenever they see eachother?

Hello. It seems that some combinations of cameras and smartphones have issuse. Make sure that your smartphone is supported by the app. You can find the supported list on the app website.
Im using an FX30 and a Motorola E32, my phone does connect to the camera but the first frame that shows up kinda stuck, and I don't have live monitoring. Only the first frame that shows up. Im using the free version. Any solutions?

Hi, I just bought your app, and i want to use it to control my camera while shooting photos (not video). I can't operate focus, it says "Currently unavailable, please check the focus mode of the lens", I tried all focuses modes that are available, I tried to do all the things that are on the FAQ section, like changing to flexible spot etc. And the most important: When i take a picture IT DOESN'T record the photo, not on my a7iii, neither on my galaxy tab s7 FE. If i can't record the picture, the app is useless to me, because when i plug in the cable, my camera goes on PC remote mode and doesn't record the photos on the memory card... and you app doesnt record the pictures on the tablet as well I went to developer mode on my tablet, changed the USB to TRANSFER FILES, and yet there's no pictures.

i have a sony dschx400v with a lenovo tab4plus 10 tablet running android 7 and monitor+ says its not compatible for wifi. before i was using sony imaging edge mobile app successfully but all of sudden one day the app stopped working and playstore says the app no longer compatible with my device i was then recommended monitor+ among others.
Now I am trying for 2 days now to connect my (new) sony A7M4 to the app. Is not working, I could connect to the imaging ap from Sony, but not to Monitor plus. This app ask me to connect trough the QR code, but the QR code on the menu of the A7m4 is to small, and there is no page with a bigger QR code, like on the other sony cameras (like my privious A7m3) Now what to do?

Hello. If you are using a USB-C to USB-C cable and have set the PC remote in the camera and smartphone, the you could try connection with the camera in photomode. Also turno off Bluetooth and Contorl with smartphone options in the camera. I'm not sure how it works withe older firmware if you haven't updated your camera and app. Before you could only connect with cable if you hade the pro version, then they updated the app so that is no longer necessary. Honestly I have no other ideas. Cheers!

Hello. You can now use a wired connect an iPhone with an OTG adapter that converts the thunderbolt to USB-C. Maybe try this first. Otherwise the Godox 5.5 is a good monitor and is not expensive. I currently have the Atomos Ninja V but this is really expensive. Cheers!
I'm using Samsung s22 ultra with Sony a7iii and the camera seems to be using phone power , is there a way to stop this as phone battery will drain. Also the a7iii had wireless option when I first ised this monitor app a long while ago only recently came back to app as now it has focus option.
Hello. You can turn off USB charging in the camera USB settings. Wireless will not work with a7iii. The app does not support it. Hope this helps. Cheers!

Hello. If you're using a log image profile, then you need to turn on the LUT in the app to see the graded version. Maybe you have the picture profile assist turned on in the camera and you see colours in you camera display but not in the app. Cheers!
Tried for a while to get it working with an A7II wired to an Android device, the camera is detected but everything is stating "no signal" except camera mode. Does anybody have an idea about how to make it works ?

Hi, awesome app. I can't seem to get playback to work when connecting a7s3 to monitor+ app by cable. I get an error saying "connected to PC remote. Cannot be executed" when I press the playback button on camera. Is there a setting that needs to be switched on? Thanks!
Hello. Unfortunately no. You have to disconnect the cable. You can view the proxy files on the smartphone if you set the app to save camera roll to phone but th quality is low. Thans for the question. Cheers!

Hello! I seriously have no idea. Did you try to connect with the QR code? I think the devices need to be WiFi connected before you open the app. (you probably know that ;) ). I've only use the app with a wired connection - my A7iii is not supported for WiFi. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!

You can switch the usb option to mass storage on the camera and then open the file with your iPad. Honestly I have an Atomos Ninja V for client work and that is a monitor/recorder so playback is not a problem. The monitor plus app is for TH-cam, in my case. Cheers!

Hello, does anyone had any sound interference issues when using wired connection? I was on a shoot with my fx3, using a shotgun mic connected on the áudio handle, and all the footage recorded with the monitor + APP while wired with USB C cable to my phone, have a buzz interference sound... The footage i recorded without the APP, perfect sound. Maybe the USB C cable??? Anyone had this? Thank you
I have tried everything for the last 2 weeks and driving me crazy. I connect QR code, iPhone 11 Pro Max and Sony FX3, camera connects but after 20 seconds more or less it says NO SIGNAL and when I try tapping my camera in the App list, it says I am already connected. And my iPhone wifi settings also say I am connected to the FX3..This is with my iPhone no more than 3 feet from my camera all the time. Driving freaking crazy. Can some post what the exact things I need to activate in the camera as far as Pc remote, Wifi settings, either wifi access or whatever??? I would like to buy this app but no way until I get a stable connection..

Just connecting via smartphone and doing the QR connects but loses connection in about 20 seconds and this is with my iPhone just a foot away from the camera.

Hello. You can find this option in the app settings. It depends on what camera you use. On a7iii you can save the video on sd and phone and turn the phone save of however stills will always be saved to bot destinations. I have no idea why this is so . Thanks for the comment. Cheers!

Hello. You have to unplug the cable for the playback to work. You can also watch the playback on your smartphone if you have the record to phone enabled but it's low quality and frame rate. Cheers!

Any other android users unable to use the app when Bluetooth is turn on the phone? Samsung note 20 ultra is used. Anytime the phones Bluetooth is on the app just opens and closes. If I want to use it I have to turn Bluetooth off first.

Hi, when my Sony A7sIII is connected to a monitor via the HDMI cable, a high pitch audio distortion is generated from the monitor. I've tried two different monitors, the distortion is heard on both. Is there a solution to this problem?

worst app ever. I own 3 andorid devices, all fairly new minus my Galaxy S8. Doesnt work with a Motorla G Power 2022, nor does it work with my brand new samsung tablet. All 3 devices...support OTG and it seems to only work with the oldest phone out of the 3....my S8. NOt sure why this is. Ive emailed Monitor+ about this and got no answer. ITs been almost 2 weeks. I did pay for the app thinking maybe that would do something to fix it...but you have to pay for it THROUGH the App which should have been sketchy to me because, now i can't get a refund. As they dont answer their emails apparently. Idea for the App is fantastic, the execution on delivering the app was 0/10. Really wish this would work with the device I want it to work with so I guess im just buying an actual monitor.

Hello. Try using the USB-C to USB-C connection. You need a 5Ghz wifi on both devices for a wifi connection.

Hello. The QR code is too small? Try connecting with the USC-C cable if you have an Android device.

Any type c cable that can transfer data will suffice. The cable bundled with a smartphone probably works best.

for me it connect and detect my sony a6300 ... i can control iso and other stuff but no live view ... it's black with "NO SIGNAL" in the midlle of the screen .... what's the problem 🥺

Hello. If you're using a log image profile, then you need to turn on the LUT in the app to see the graded version. Maybe you have the picture profile assist turned on in the camera and you see colours in you camera display but not in the app. Cheers!
Tried for a while to get it working with an A7II wired to an Android device, the camera is detected but everything is stating "no signal" except camera mode. Does anybody have an idea about how to make it works ?

Hello. Unfortunately no. You have to disconnect the cable. You can view the proxy files on the smartphone if you set the app to save camera roll to phone but th quality is low. Thans for the question. Cheers!

Hello. You have two options: 1 If you record on the phone, then you can review the videos on the phone. 2 Unplug the cable from one device. Then you can playback on the camera.

Hm...🤔 Not sure. To be honest the phone recording is low res and lower frame rate so not really useful.

You can switch the usb option to mass storage on the camera and then open the file with your iPad. Honestly I have an Atomos Ninja V for client work and that is a monitor/recorder so playback is not a problem. The monitor plus app is for TH-cam, in my case. Cheers!

Hello, does anyone had any sound interference issues when using wired connection? I was on a shoot with my fx3, using a shotgun mic connected on the áudio handle, and all the footage recorded with the monitor + APP while wired with USB C cable to my phone, have a buzz interference sound... The footage i recorded without the APP, perfect sound. Maybe the USB C cable??? Anyone had this? Thank you

I have tried everything for the last 2 weeks and driving me crazy. I connect QR code, iPhone 11 Pro Max and Sony FX3, camera connects but after 20 seconds more or less it says NO SIGNAL and when I try tapping my camera in the App list, it says I am already connected. And my iPhone wifi settings also say I am connected to the FX3..This is with my iPhone no more than 3 feet from my camera all the time. Driving freaking crazy. Can some post what the exact things I need to activate in the camera as far as Pc remote, Wifi settings, either wifi access or whatever??? I would like to buy this app but no way until I get a stable connection..
Hello. Try setting the wifi to 5GHz on your smartphone and camera if you can. This should give a more stable connection.
@@M1R0_Life_through_a_lens I did, but something is probably set up wrong on my camera I think. I tried 5.4 gz but not sure what wifi settings or other settings. I have tried just about everything. Just connecting via smartphone and doing the QR connects but loses connection in about 20 seconds and this is with my iPhone just a foot away from the camera.
The wired connection doesn't work if the ctrl/w smartphone is turned on. Maybe this should be turned off with the wireless connection as well.

Hello. You can find this option in the app settings. It depends on what camera you use. On a7iii you can save the video on sd and phone and turn the phone save of however stills will always be saved to bot destinations. I have no idea why this is so . Thanks for the comment. Cheers!

Hello. You have to unplug the cable for the playback to work. You can also watch the playback on your smartphone if you have the record to phone enabled but it's low quality and frame rate. Cheers!

Any other android users unable to use the app when Bluetooth is turn on the phone? Samsung note 20 ultra is used. Anytime the phones Bluetooth is on the app just opens and closes. If I want to use it I have to turn Bluetooth off first.

Hello. You should turn off USB power setting on the camera. I have this option on the same page as the USB settings. But when I turn the camera off the charging continues so in that case unplug the phone. Cheers!

Hi, when my Sony A7sIII is connected to a monitor via the HDMI cable, a high pitch audio distortion is generated from the monitor. I've tried two different monitors, the distortion is heard on both. Is there a solution to this problem?

worst app ever. I own 3 andorid devices, all fairly new minus my Galaxy S8. Doesnt work with a Motorla G Power 2022, nor does it work with my brand new samsung tablet. All 3 devices...support OTG and it seems to only work with the oldest phone out of the 3....my S8. NOt sure why this is. Ive emailed Monitor+ about this and got no answer. ITs been almost 2 weeks. I did pay for the app thinking maybe that would do something to fix it...but you have to pay for it THROUGH the App which should have been sketchy to me because, now i can't get a refund. As they dont answer their emails apparently. Idea for the App is fantastic, the execution on delivering the app was 0/10. Really wish this would work with the device I want it to work with so I guess im just buying an actual monitor.
