Does it remove the milscale? We often have big projects at work that require us to grind the milscale off where the weld joints are. Takes forever and a ton of 4" grinder wheels to do it.
Be very carful with the fumes there highly toxic. Guy's I know who use them, tape a 1/2 inch plastic hose to the wand and cable and connect it to a vacuum. This way the fumes are drawn away as soon as they are made.
Yes, it will burn off mill scale. I am thinking of going on the same journey, but working with the manufacturer to brand the machines and write my own manuals and literature. Oh, and do videos, too. 😅
Reliable commercial 'anything' does cost considerably more, because you're not only paying for product reliability, but investing in consistent professional customer support only available from reputable manufacturers. Fast support prevents/reduces costly down-times, normally associated with trusting 'inferior' machinery. For this reason alone, I'd never recommend or buy Chinese commercial equipment, as their warranty's are not worth the paper they're printed on and all guarantees of technical support are a blatant lie. I've always maintained that buying reliable equipment from reputable manufactures at the onset, will in the long run save you time, money and frustration replacing cheap unserviceable equipment. 🤔👍 This is my opinion, I could be wrong. 😉
If you’re getting one of these for cleaning make sure it’s got a couple of different cleaning patterns - the cheap ones just clean with straight line. What you want is a cleaning pattern that looks like a sine wave for an even finish.
I was wondering the same thing, I'm sure it will do the job, but I would be worried about a few things, sheet metal froma car is thin, how hot does it get' Will it deform? And also, what is behind the panels in the car, for example insulation or wiring, that you don't melt plastics etc from the back.

Thanks for the great video. Wondering what are the parts that needs to be changed every now and then? And what kind of maintenance does it require? Do you need "gas bottle" for rust removing? Thanks.
I saw on another video if you go into the setup and then you change the lens you have to actually change the lens in the unit and then you can actually change the scan width and I saw it go up to 40 mm
The glasses are for 300 milliwatt lasers not MEGAWATT lasers
Love your demo, but I do think you should have a good filter mask, fume is all round your face. Tks !
About technical parameters and operation! If you have any questions, you can ask me anytime! Although what you bought is not our equipment!
That is pretty awesome. I would like to see it welding or whatever else it can do. How much would something like that be from a North American Company. Thanks for the honest feedback.
Well this is the Chinese way. When you purchase it, it is yours and they only want to hear from you again if you want to purchase more! Support and spare parts is unknown in China! 😏 Nothing new.
Man I need one of them to strip down a 48 ft flatbed lol it'll remove all the paint and rust it at the same time with no mess....
Good information 👍 thank you
im about buying the 1500 watt machine
i purchased before the co laser and the fiber marking
well, it is true they wont give deep detailed info
but you can learn it on your own
in my case it will be 4000 as door to door including all shipping and custom fee
extra cost is nitrogen, about 30 dollar per filling a bottle
consumables like protective glass or copper nozzles for a few dollar each at least dozen of seler on aliexpress or from seller you purchasing
it is up to you taking the chance buying directly
but risk is way way less than many stating
router i purchased in 2011 still talking with the guy
same to the laser purchased 2018
Just the ability to remove powder coat would be worth it to me. I'd say that would be the primary function of such a machine while welding would be good to have too, but secondary for me. Good perspective on these though. I'd love to have a Miller or more name brand stuff, but the 5 to 10 times price tag is too much to justify for a home shop.
Looks like it would be good for charring wood for weatherproofing a log cabin
Damn! I think i would go ahead and purchase the dog, get a cain and learn braille before purchasing this cornea burner.
good to find ya here.
Where did you get your Laser welder?
What brand?
Cost?
Thanks.
@johnjohnston2439 considering buying from china? i think this product is from china , you can see the machine name in Chinese characters .
Dude you're now the local guy with experience with those machines..
Hop on FIVERR and get the manual translated by a Chinese speaking technical writer with illustrations and photos addressed. Get it in PDF format, upload it to your phone. I did this for an older Taiwanese LILIAN vertical mill, and couldn't be happier. Great content, subb'd
Does it remove the milscale? We often have big projects at work that require us to grind the milscale off where the weld joints are. Takes forever and a ton of 4" grinder wheels to do it.
don't forget most fume extractors remove particulate not fumes. unless they blow outside
maybe it might sound foolish but would it work if you had helmet with video camera . like my son VR oculus game headset ?
This is the closest thing I have ever seen to a real light saber.
I hope you make a video when you figure out how to weld with it . I was hoping this was about that. Good video though.
Be very carful with the fumes there highly toxic. Guy's I know who use them, tape a 1/2 inch plastic hose to the wand and cable and connect it to a vacuum. This way the fumes are drawn away as soon as they are made.
Did your welder require a transformer? Or how did you connect the wiring? Mine came for 220V, but only one line and a neutral. Thanks.
Is that what they used in Hawaii?
Very similar, much higher power.
Close, yes!
This guy must be in Louisiana. As a Louisiana resident, born and raised, I know a Cajun when I hear one...atleast he sure sounds like a Cajun
What are the consumables and they're costs? Also, what is the life expectancy of the welder? Is it rated in hours like a light bulb?
Better than blasting? Now I question your judgment I've done lots of blasting and I'm not sure how you're saying it isn't effective.
You mentioned consumables. What consumables that are proprietary to it that have to be replaced? Is it filters or something?
Never use that outside unless you can guarantee no people or animals can watch you. You can and will cause serious eye damage.
can it clean rust off the vehicle frame?
I think it's ok
did you mention a fume extractor
Sounds like watching Terminator 1 skynet battle scene
where did you buy... 5K is a great price for a 2000 multi shipped to Us in the US
Considering buying from China?
⚡⚡oh my neighbors cat is going to love this⚡⚡🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😾
dose it remove mill scale
This is my opinion, I could be wrong. 😉
What happens if you use this on a mirror? 😀
Sounds like death ray on Flash Gordon
I am a curious guy too mate. Please try that thing on egg, watermelon, cucumber, stuffed animal, etc.
You could be the first one on yt. 😅
Have you considered wearing a Ghostbusters jumpsuit while running this machine?
Is that unlicenced particle accelerator behind you?
Bro... fume extractor in the room or not I would absolutely recommend doing this outside or wearing the proper mask!
Neat machine
Tres bon ! Merci
If you’re getting one of these for cleaning make sure it’s got a couple of different cleaning patterns - the cheap ones just clean with straight line. What you want is a cleaning pattern that looks like a sine wave for an even finish.
What about warpage with the heat input ........
Thanks bud..
Could this be an alternative to blasting a car clean down to bare metal? Like media blasting?
I was wondering the same thing, I'm sure it will do the job, but I would be worried about a few things, sheet metal froma car is thin, how hot does it get' Will it deform? And also, what is behind the panels in the car, for example insulation or wiring, that you don't melt plastics etc from the back.
@@makingcookingfixing It only burns the outside, the metal do not even heat up normally... But normally it is totally illegal to use a laser like this outside a light blocking box remotely operated. This is incredibly dangerous for your eyes and anyone else eyes within 100m.
Thanks for claryfing
You may need pulse laser machine for autobody project. continuos laser is mainly for rust removal of heavy gauge material@@makingcookingfixing
Would be interesting to see it clean deep pitted rusted not just light surface rust
Yeah but acid is so much fun!
its rust cleaning perfomance is incredible, but shouldnt you wear a face mask?
Or a breath mask?
maybe both
