As talented as Lauryn is I also feel she didn't feel she was able to make an album as good as that first one and blaming the industry is a half truth If she really wanted to create music she could make an album and go indie Lauryn can also be uunprofessional e.g... infamously showing up late to gigs e.t.c... Her album Miseducation of Lauryn hill Is every black women's anthem. It is poetry set to music It always made me sick that they said she was crazy and all these other things I Always felt like they were trying to destroy her image because she refused to do what they ask, She refused to sell h soul.
I will always love her. She went against the whorish images pushed in Holywood toward black women. She represented strong, valuable, intelligent, natural black women. Something that that the mainstream moved away from.
