Great job. My personal opinion is that I would connect the small fan to uncontrolled 12v supply, should even keep cooler. Those small fans tends to run very quite. But great job.
Yes I've been looking for a modern mod that would be a bit more controllable than the mods from days of old now these systems are dirt cheap and still fun. I picked a Falcon up recently and have done the RGH Pi mod that costs nothing more than the price of a Raspberry Pi Pico (which I already had). Taking the power from the middle row of solder points holding the power brick input socket from the underside of the M/board gives just the constant 12V you're talking about.
Didn't expect an extra fan to slash GPU temps, guess I'll keep this in mind for when I do a fan mod. Yes it might be overkill for a Tonasket 360, but you gotta do what you gotta do to keep the console cool and increase its lifespan.
Thanks mate, I'm trying to replicate the fan system in the gpu to make my old Xbox 360 phat jasper with RGH3 cooler, for these scorching summer days.@@pathfindercast

You *can* grab the heatsink. Its actually the best place to hold a motherboard.
I like the OG Xbox 360 design, than the others 2, sure they have a high chance of rrod but if you take care of them they last a lot
That mini fan you put on the GPU how many millimeters is it?
IIRC, it was a 50mm 12v fan

im goona try this but using a 12v external adapter from an old cellphone..
Nice. Yah so far I have not had any more issues, but I also don't get around to playing the 360 as much as I used to.
oof my Xbox 360 almost got 2 rings luckily I’m safe tho damn
Cheers. RR aside, these were great consoles.
What’s the deal your using to check system temperature and fan speed… I don’t remember Xbox having settings like that that’s why I ask
The xbox360 has an RGH 1.2 chip installed which lets me install homebrew which in this case is Dashlaunch.
Daddy go go go.
Yeah he's my dad Don't ask about it.
