I never posted what happened to my truck, so here goes. I was 2 quarts low on trans fluid. I added the fluid and the sound was still the same that night. I let it sit for 2 days and it was fine after that. Don't ask me how, it just was. Good luck.
That is a front pump whine and if you get low on trans fluid it will suck in alittle air causing a whine depending on how low the fluid is but if its full of fluid that means the pump is getting worn and the fluid pressure will start dropping over time . Changing the fluid sometimes helps but if your trans is slipping alittle I would just leave it alone cause it could make the slipping worse ....
Did you ever figure out what this noise is? I've listened to tons of videos and read through a ton of forums, and this is the exact problem I have. If you have a minute, can you let me know what you had to do? Thanks, I'd appreciate it!
This was the only video I could find with the exact sound my 02 chevy was making. Luckily I have a very good mechanic I go to and after a day & 1/2 he found the problem. It was something called the distributor. Once that was replace the sound was gone!
Bull shit. If that’s the case you’re “very good mechanic” lied through his teeth. A distributor will not make a whine noise at all Nor does a 02 have a distributor
07 classic here and it only does it rollin with a tad of throttle. Sound pretty similar. Thanks

I did the same, I will wait 2 days…

@@bradenbaldwin9838 agree the 90s have distributors my 95 Tahoe had it. it's not the cause of tht sound no way ..
turn your fan off
The fan was not on at the time. It was a stopped up filter. New filter and fluid change sound disappeared.
