    I dont have weights, so ill try the both bodyweight exercises

  • @lizokryptonian
    @lizokryptonian 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I would like to know your opinion on overhead press to bodyweight ratio, for example if you have 80 kg and can do one full rom hspu does that mean you can do 1 rep with 80 kg strict overhead press?!?! I know it's stupid but I would like to hear your opinion on the matter, so overhead press transfer to hspu and reverse?! Also I'm a big fan of your videos, upload more often, love videos of your workouts :D cheers

    • @Littlebeastmtraining
      @Littlebeastmtraining  8 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      i have said this before hspu is maybe 70% of bw. mitary press is far more superior to increase overhead strength. and yes once you have the skill for the hspu the military press will dramaticly improve your hspu

    • @lizokryptonian
      @lizokryptonian 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      somehow I missed that, thx for answer, stay strong :D

    • @robert50173

      Is that with the full ROM head below hands or just the head touching the floor?

  • @simonesasso8379

  • @ceili
    @ceili 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Anyone know what percentage or body weight you should be able to press that would be the equivalent of a hspu?

    • @mildmanneredmercifulmouse1839
      @mildmanneredmercifulmouse1839 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      ceili Easy, weigh each part of your body. The head and legs and and feet as well also torso, neck, ass and abdominal section. DO NOT way your arms in this equation. Now add up the total of all the body parts (except arms and hands) divide that sum by 2, add 3% to allow for moisture loss and that is your goal weight to do dumbell press (for one arm press) on each side. you are welcome.

    • @robert50173
      @robert50173 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Amount will vary with limb length, so roughly 70% of bodyweight. Get there and see how that works.

  • @MrPsychoPlayer
    @MrPsychoPlayer 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just what i need metin, i started doing clear hspu negatives(without arching) on floor now i just need the strength to press back up

    • @Littlebeastmtraining
      @Littlebeastmtraining  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      negatives alone will not work! add this!

    • @MrPsychoPlayer
      @MrPsychoPlayer 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Littlebeastmtraining
      yeah i already figured it doesn't work, i currently weigh 80kg and i have a 22 kg dumbbell, do you think 22 kg is enough for one arm overhead press towards achieving HSPU or do i need more weight

    • @Littlebeastmtraining
      @Littlebeastmtraining  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +MrPsychoPlayer aim for pressing half bodyweight overhead per arm for 8 reps. thats strong shoulders !

    • @MrPsychoPlayer
      @MrPsychoPlayer 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Littlebeastmtraining
      Really appreciate the answer, now i know where to go :)

    • @MrPsychoPlayer
      @MrPsychoPlayer 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Littlebeastmtraining its me again, i can do half range of motion free hspu and i have no access to free weights currently, what do you think if i use some stack of books in front of me to decrease range of motion and in time if i decrease the books and get closer to the ground? do you think it could work well?

  • @MrCheatDany
    @MrCheatDany 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Elbow in/out? and why?

    • @Littlebeastmtraining
      @Littlebeastmtraining  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      not in and not out. the elbow moves naturally into direction. when elbows go in your width of hands is to narrow. when elbows go out your hand placement is to wide.
