Right. How many steps did he take before he had to stop, plant himself, and then throw? That's all time wasted. Whereas Randy is straight ahead of the play and is facing the right direction for a tight play. Instead, the runner is safe by at least a step. Same as the other play shown, which was shorter and more an obvious out by the correct fielder.
@@pizzajona But he still not only came in from an angle; he also had to plant himself to make that throw, after what looks like 3 steps. And his 94 mph outfield throw didn't work on a shorter catch and throw cause angles are angles no matter what. A straight 90 mph throw is better than an angled 94 mph throw. Randy's momentum is direct.
@@jonnuanez2843 which is why KK wanted Randy to move out of the way. Now, if Kiermaier saw Randy was still holding his ground before the last second when he had to jump over him, then I think he should’ve stopped chasing it no matter what. But it’s entirely plausible that his eyes were on the ball the whole time and he didn’t see Randy until he had to go around him and was already committed
What would be funny is if Kev went up to bat and Randy just kinda slid in front of him and said “Nah bruh you gotta let the person who’s better do the job.”
It would be even better if he started talking about himself in third person. Kiermeir will always do this. Because Kiermeir believes Kiermeir is the best center fielder of all time. Kiermeir knows what is best. Outfield belongs to Kiermaeir! 😂
"I have to tread lightly here. All these peasants shouldn't be playing in my outfield. Instead they should bow to my greatness as they observe how to play the game."
Except that Richard Sherman made a great play that won the game before he said that. This would be like if he left his assignment to jump a route that Kam Chancellor or Earl Thomas were on but the receiver still caught the ball and scored.
What makes this whole thing even more funny is that it was barely 2 weeks before this that Kiermaier completely lost sight of a ball against the roof that was hit more or less dead center, and it was Arozarena who saved his ass by sprinting all the way over and making a crazy diving play. Video link: th-cam.com/video/lfg0Od_CuWM/w-d-xo.html
OMG that's beautiful and emphasizes what a dickweed Kiermaier is. His reaction to Arozarena's catch is so muted compared to the other players, he's clearly thinking that Arozarena embarrassed him rather than thanking his teammate for having his back.
I remember in Little League we had a kid who would do this all the time...... One game near the end of the season coach told the other outfielders to not go for any balls and basically let the kid play outfield by himself...... We got mercied that game but he learned he how important it was to have other players back there helping you.
@@zach.frederick The best part was in the 1st inning we was super excited running around having a blast...... But by the 3rd inning when we were down by 9 he was jogging to the ball..... Every time he would look over at the dugout Coach would throw up his arms like "What's wrong?"
I love how he's saying his teammate got in his way, when said teammate only needed a light jog to get under the ball and he has to sprint his ass off from the other side of the planet. Totally unnecessary but really funny.
I haven’t seen this since little league when you had like one good kid on the team and everyone knew to just get out of his way. I was not that kid, which is why I watch Jomboy videos now. I feel your pain, Randy.

@Coding Crusader Lol do you even know what Im saying? My point is this dude didnt trust his leftfielder, he thinks theyre still kids and he shouldve backed off. That was the left fielders ball
They are professional baseball players not some minor league baseball team in BFE. The guy calls for the ball and it's in his zone. It's his ball and he is in a better position to challenge the runner tagging up. We all know this. It takes some big balls to coming flying over and impeding when you got called off. So many things could have gone wrong. End result could not been miss catch or a collision and so on. Then in the interview after the game basically doubting our teammates ability. His outfielders is a cocky way of saying teammates. Like it or not it's just my opinion. Also I'm aware the center fielder is the captain of the outfield. You still don't call off someone that's in a better position to make a play.
Can we just take a sec to admire how well-edited and put together this video is? Like I’ve been watching these breakdowns quite a while, and it hit me multiple times how good the production is. Big props to Jimmy or BBD or whoever did this, it’s a fine piece of work.
I understand his thought process about having a better arm, but his momentum worked against him here and made him take longer to get rid of the ball than it would have for the LF.
Yeah I think this is the right take basically. Idk what randy arm grades out at but I'm all for letting the guy with the stronger arm make the throw just took it too far. Just bit off a little more than he could chew.

You have the wrong idea. It's done to preserve. It doesnt mean his arm doesnt feel good. With that being said its kind of more douchey for him to do that, not being a pitcher.
It's not an issue of confidence and cockiness, it's the narcissism, the egotism, the selfishness, the poor team spirit, and the recklessness. But I bet he'll debate that forever.
I mean he has let the outfielders know, and other outfielders let him do his thing before this not his fault that he’s been enabled to do what he’s done falls on prior players and management giving him the free reign.

His momentum was not going forward, whereas Arozarina’s was going foward. That’s Randy’s ball all day
He was also completely off balance and had to land and gather himself to throw
Randy’s never thrown a ball over 90 mph. KK’s throw on this play was over 94 mph. I don’t agree with KK trying to take the ball but he is right
@@pizzajona But he still not only came in from an angle; he also had to plant himself to make that throw, after what looks like 3 steps.
